    This video makes me feel so blessed about my situation. I’m 25 years old, I work 7 days a week and make 34k a year. I don’t have any student loan debt as I didn’t go to college and have been told I have a much better head on my shoulders than people with degrees. I live with my parents and I rarely spend money on anything other than the bare essentials. I manage to save $2,000/mo. and I’m currently saving for my first House Hack. Love videos like this and it’s videos like this that show other people barely even able to rub two pennies together and are drowning in debt on top of it all and can still manage to bounce back is what gives me hope and helps keep me thinking positive.

Anyway God bless you.

      I am a fan of Robert Kiyosaki, Dan Peña, Dan Lok & Grant Cardone.
      I keep hearing that the Roth IRA's/401K's don't even keep up with the annual inflation; while investment Real Estate performs at around 9% at its very worst. When you factor-in depreciation for Tax purposes, that ROI increases.

      @jmjpowerjoule to expand on Melvin's comment, if you are a fan of GC you know he recommends storing 40% of your income. So, Dave's 15% goes to 401K/IRA and the other 25% goes to Real Estate.

    I'm 45 years old now, and my wife and I have JUST flipped our triangle a few months ago. We're paying off everything that we owe, except for our current mortgage. It has "snowballed" like crazy! Every pay period, we're paying off another card, or other loan that we may have. We will be debt free, except the mortgage, in less than a year, then we can start saving toward investment properties. We finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. If everything works as we hope, then we will be able to retire in about 10 years. BTW, we LOVE Dave Ramsey! Thanks for sharing this video.

    Here's a favorite of mine: Literally buy *almost* anything you need second hand. FB Marketplace, LetGo, NextDoor, Garage Sales, Auctions, Craigslist, eBay, etc. The internet allows you to price check every single thing you purchase, so figure out how to pay less than retail, and without sales tax. It may cost you time, but this practice will save you lots of money. Also, older items tend to be better made than those same items today, so you can achieve more value overall.

    I'm 29. Suffered from income creep from a good paying job and then lost my job cos of COVID. It's in the past now, but if I had been more discerning with my "fun" and "variable" expenses I could've saved $20k in 2 years (I calculated this in excel). Instead I have less than $1500 in liquid assets ($1100 being in a retirement trust). I'm taking the responsibility to never be in this situation again. If you're watching the video and reading this comment, don't be like past-me, economies will inevitably go up and down over the course of a lifetime, you'll regret it.

  • @heronnavarro6502
    @heronnavarro6502 5 лет назад

    I like the balance between frugality and responsibility here. I’m sure a lot of people enjoy minimalist living, but you don’t need to live like that to experience wealth. I personally like to capitalize on the modern age we live. But I also bike 70 miles a week to get to and from work so I don’t have to pay for a car. However, my strategy wouldn’t go so well out in many other places. Need to do what works for you.
    Make that spreadsheet, have that “where does all my money go” moment and start direct deposit into a savings account. Just something, as said, you can save 100 dollars. You spend 100 dollars on stuff you don’t even know you spent that money on.

  • @megatronn5816

    1.) own it- take responsibility for where you are... Make the power to decide why you are what you are

Most don't realize that it's also to try and kill the background sounds that his mic may be picking up while he was filming. You can hear what sounds like a plane flying at some points, but I bet you no one noticed it because they were too busy being annoyed by the background music! LOL!

    I think it says A LOT about a person's desire to see good for their viewers when they recommend the wisdom of others within their field that could be looked at as competitors. Many investment people will slam others' ways of doing things because they want to make themselves look good. Thanks Brandon for recommending resources from Dave Ramsey, Robert Kiyosaki, and many others. Because of that good will I'm happy to trust your advice. Hey Brandon , when did you become an out- of- state investor in multi family properties? To be more specific, the reason I ask is because in New York, it's hard to find good Cash flow. Also it's not very landlord friendly at all. How many properties did you buy in your local market when you first started before you decided to go out of state for future investment rental properties for better cash flow?

    Such a coincidence that you said to start a roofing business, I’m actually a roofer about 6 months away from being eligible to get my contractors license in CA. Although I’m considering moving to Arizona or Texas for a more business friendly climate.

      Nadir Rabah disagree. Time value of money, so unless your recurring expenses have interest working against you, you’re better off keeping your money and investing it now to have the time value of money work in your benefit.

    $5,500 per month.... so $150k annual salary? I could save like a beast, but most people don’t make that kind of money. Try the same video on $45k a year, or $2,500 per month.... that might reach a group that could really use this video.

    • @CriminalCoreYT
      @CriminalCoreYT 5 лет назад +34

      Exactly. If I made $150k a year I would not need to watch this video lol

    • @zachis4wheeling
      @zachis4wheeling 5 лет назад +57

      5500 x 12 = $66,000 a year
      Even if that’s take home after tax money, if you account for taxes, that’s not even close to $150k a year, at least in the vast majority of the United States.
      If you make 150k salary, and only bring home $5500 a month, or $66k a year, by your definition you’re paying in $84,000 in taxes.
      You’re way off.
      In most places, with the exception of the tax heavy states like NY, California and Massachusetts ............ if you’re bringing home $66,000 a year, your annual salary would be around $90,000 a year.
      Which is still pretty unrealistic for a lot of middle income America, but you get the picture.
      He really should do this for someone who brings home $3000 a month take home and see how it would be

      ripsaw715 your right. I did exaggerate a bit about the totaled annual salaries. I wrote before I did the math, but I was thinking about salary before taxes. After doing the math in my state (Oregon) income tax: it’s a $100k before taxes to take $5,500 home per month. In a state that has a median income of about $45k. Saving would be easier if I could double my salary.
