HI, nice Bultaco, in my city is normal in the weekend the old people Drive Bultaco and Montesa. Regards from Spain ! / Holaa bonita Bultaco ! Por mi ciudad la gente mayor las saca los fines de semana estás y las Montesas. Saludos desde España !
Thank you so much for this video. I am in more-or-less the same situation as you (existentially and geographically) - I have a WR250f for 'proper' off roading, and now want a 'biggish' roadbike for a bit of commuting and weekend jaunts. The F650GS/G650GS appeals (along with the KLE500 and the Aprilia Pegaso and a few others). Great to see a UK review of someone riding one of these on the road. Off to watch the next ep now! Best Regards from Cirencester!
Thanks, that means a lot! I loved the F650GS, great bike - you might find a boxer or a newer F650 twin is a little better suited if you’re quite tall, but either way they’re great bikes. More videos coming soon I promise, I need to get better at editing them quickly! Cheers, Alex
@@TittertonRacing thanks. I ended up buying a 2011 G650gs from South Wales. I prefer the slightly more modern styling it has over the older model. That said, I didn't realise that they had a lower and harder seat, so I am now on the hunt for a seat off your model to replace it with as I am on the tall and lanky side. I also have a wind problem.... 😬
Great vid Alex, what mixture of fun, interesting stuff! I've got a 650gs and want to take it out greenlaning like you've done here when the weather gets better.
This is a really helpful video, thank you! What gear did you find yourself in most of the time on the first and second green lanes? It seemed like first gear would tractor you along just fine all the way up to 20 mph, yes?
On the 650 1st was a good technical gear, like a tractor as you say, and then into 2nd for the longer/faster parts -- my R1150GS that I replaced it with was far too high geared, with a dry clutch too! At least on the 650 you can feather the clutch without fear of burning it up...
Yep! I agree on the green lanes some more knobbly tires would be a bit better suited, at the moment it's set up more as an all-rounder, mostly used on normal roads for weekends away etc, so I've just left these on. They're not all that bad on the trail, but as soon as it gets muddy they're pretty hopeless!
Definitely! The tank is under the seat which helps keep the weight nice and low, and it’s nice and manoeuvrable with not so much power that the rear just spins up 👍
5:40 that's the bridge that Dude tried to throw a Body in a Suitcase off! Eh? Some fucked up people around, just chill and think for a minute, is what you're doing right? A useful occupation, is it helping any of your family? Well just stop. That guy could have dropped those bags and walked away and said "anything is better than this ,I don't need to go through with that sh*t*" Get washed and start from scratch. No drugs. No alcohol. No junkies and no alcies.Get to🤣😂😂
Cool vídeo Alex, I've got a F650gs myself and I'm in love with the bike, what an awesome machine! Currently I'm preparing it for Offroad adventures. Check my channel and have a look 👍
Great video nice to see some F650gs love

Good vid!
Where are you riding, mate? Such a great green lane 👌🏻
These lanes were in Somerset, one of relatively few counties left with many green lanes unfortunately...
I live in Somerset, but can't find a lot such places. Have you got any postcodes or names of that lanes?
We’re you out doing that with the street tires shown at the start of the video? Something more aggressive will increase your fun a lot

Would you say its a great beginner bike to do some green lanes and lets say 70% on road?
