can we stop pretending that the tone of old drums isnt just dry wood, and that you can get the same sounds with modern drums please? also why does this have ytp style edits?
Expensivest isn't a word. "Most expensive" is all you need. Unless you're signalling that 2Chains is stupid with that title, in which case, you nailed it!
This guy was my drum tech for my drums before I tracked my bands last album, he's got a warehouse in LA that has every kind of drum, its legit the Home Depot for drummers :)
I’d give anything to jam that kit. The sounds from those drums have become iconic, although heavily mixed and edited during the Black album recordings.
As a drummer and drum tech who dedicates funds to the youth and even performed with 2chainz a few times, this is epic! Because we been tryna get chains on the drums! 😂😅
I need a part 2 of this! These 2 are great together. It could be an hour long. Mutual respect & vibin each other. It's like a commercial for Drum Doctors but the stories he could tell!
That’s the ACTUAL kit used on Metallica’s black album. Honestly unreal.. That kit is basically priceless, which is why he said a “hard no” to $250k. He’d maybe let it go for a cool milly.
This is cool! I'd the rarest non-custom (thus most highly valued) drumset ever made is the Top hat and Cane patterned Ludwigs 1941 and '42. Most valued by artist must be Ringo's (one of his snare sold at 14K if I recall properly). There is one Gladstone kit that's valued at 250K. If we talk about complete kits with hardware and cymbals tho... whole other damn story fosho. This guy is the realest
Guy tells a story about drums, shows us no wow worthy kits. Kinda expected to see at least 5 of the 400 kits. Also that Tama Bell Brass Piccolo Snare is really only about $3500.
yeah while I don't doubt that the actual price of that particular piccolo snare is much lower than what ross stated (as far as just a regular one without its particular history or usage), I'm sure that his (or probably anyone else's for that matter) reason(s) or legitimizing for the exorbitant price tag is directly proportionate to who's used it, when, where & especially on which particular recordings and/or performances
Man, I really like 2Chainz but when he's this inebriated it's really tough to enjoy this. That conversation was a little rough at some points. I like some of the other ones he's done but he may have gone a little overboard this time lol
Dude, this was a cringy video. Are you covering your eyes with massive shades because you're that high? You're interviewing a professional that is at a level most musicians wish they could achieve and he looked so uncomfortable throughout it all. Uncomfortable watch from a musician perspective

Alternative title: 2 chainz learns what a drum set is
Alternative title: Professional musician is shocked that music gear is expensive
Alternative title 2 Chainz is an idiot
😂
😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Drum Doctor himself! Two legends. And that Metallica kit sounds INSANE, even just with camera audio
Yeah too bad lars was playin em
This guy was my drum tech for my drums before I tracked my bands last album, he's got a warehouse in LA that has every kind of drum, its legit the Home Depot for drummers :)
As a drummer myself, I enjoyed this episode very much! Been a fan of Vice & 2chainz since 2011 let’s go!
I fucking love 2 Chainz so much. Also love the Drum Doctor, been a fan of him for years. Remember always seeing his ads in the back of Modern Drummer
I love 2 Chainz but I wish he knew more about Metallica so he could’ve asked this guy how he felt about the snare sound on St. Anger?
😂😂😂
that snare is rumored to me worth $10!!!!!
He would have pulled out a tin garbage lit
The name of the interviewee is ROSS GARFIELD AKA "THE DRUM DOCTOR" ( LA Drum Tech)!
Charlie Watts collection is off the scale. I mean he had a Billy Gladstone drum kit I believe, plus Gene Krupa kits, Art Blakey, Elvin Jones etc.
thats the Black Album Gretsch kit... And the snare dubbed the "Terminator" is priceless
I’d give anything to jam that kit. The sounds from those drums have become iconic, although heavily mixed and edited during the Black album recordings.
@@the_minimalistic_adventureI guess you could give Ross a call and rent that kit.
Neal Peart had one of the most expensive drum kits ever , it was a 3/4 rap around kit .
@@maliciousintent. and it's also a drum video, so of course this video will attract drummers and drummers know neil peart is
*peart (at least spell a deceased person's name right!)
Terry Bozzio's DW kit was way more expensive.
@@krusher74 dam sorry I,ll correct that .
As a drummer and drum tech who dedicates funds to the youth and even performed with 2chainz a few times, this is epic!
Because we been tryna get chains on the drums! 😂😅
Sheesh, a drummer myself that’s a fckn wild collection!! Insane.
I need a part 2 of this! These 2 are great together. It could be an hour long. Mutual respect & vibin each other. It's like a commercial for Drum Doctors but the stories he could tell!
The Holy Grail drum set would be the 40th anniversary Yamaha Washi kit, it is an artwork in itself
That’s the ACTUAL kit used on Metallica’s black album. Honestly unreal..
That kit is basically priceless, which is why he said a “hard no” to $250k. He’d maybe let it go for a cool milly.
2 chainz with them alien shades
I liked this show when it out on viceland. Very entertaining indeed ❤📺
Drummers checkin in.
Bro we need to see a tour through his drum collection in episode 2
This dude tuned some drums I played in the studio and they were literally they best sounding and feeling drums I’ve ever played
🤣🤣🤣 Ross's facial reactions 🤔🤨🥴 The most expensivest single kit would probably be Bozzio's kit.
That's prolly accurate lmfao
at least do a proper introduction for the man
This was one of the more wholesome Most Expensiveist episodes. You can tell 2chainz enjoyed this episode lol

2Chainz shouldnt be allowed to wear shades just so we can see how high he is when filming.
In the full episode do we het to see more of the huge 400+ collection?
Lol, this was too funny with all the editing 🤣
I love this collaboration. Drum Doctor is dope
would've been better if 2chainz knew anything about drums though
Or could speak intelligiblie.
or if he wasnt there... yeah i'll say it
Wow okay didn't expect much from this but that's really cool this guy has the bssm kit and snare. Iconic kit right there
Ross Garfield is the best drum tech
I love the passion of the Drum Doctor,
when a grey alien walks into a guitar center ...
How do I become a drum doctor? Been playing for 26 years and always tell my band mates I enjoy tuning and setting drums up more than playing.
Buy alot of drum. You"ll get that status..
He does these episode while high I’m assuming
I think Charlie watts collection would give this a run for its money
2 Chainz, lemme be your drummer🥁
Best Episode Yet💯
Feels like 2C was “on a kite” so to speak during this ep😂!
As drummer and a lover of drums in general, this was a cool ass ep🫡!
Alright this series still going
Dankpods watches with in interest
2 Chainz and The Drum Doctor. What a combination.
Dudes will see drums and say "Hell yeah"
Hell yeah
Hell yeah

Ross is well known for his awesome collection and his ability to exaggerate
He could be tacking on money for all the different recordings it’s been on
yeah while I don't doubt that the actual price of that particular piccolo snare is much lower than what ross stated (as far as just a regular one without its particular history or usage), I'm sure that his (or probably anyone else's for that matter) reason(s) or legitimizing for the exorbitant price tag is directly proportionate to who's used it, when, where & especially on which particular recordings and/or performances
@@hippiesaboteur2556 I guess the correct price is directly proportional to how much anyone is willing to pay
yeah, be lucky to get 25k for a famous drummers drum kit. Its not like thats even Lars's white tama @@vegadeth

-Bandz’ll Make Her Dance 💵 💴
Twenty years ago, I slowly acquired 13 sets of GREEN LUDWIG VISTALITES
Sad to say but I’ve never seen a drum set used by famous people to really ever bring anywhere close to what the seller is asking!!!
Great video. I would love to visit this place at one point. 😊
i have a very short attention span so the funny pictures really help keep me engaged. thanks vice
....wow
6 figures... HAHAHA. Dude is tripping balls. That Tama bell brass sells for less than 5k.
It isn’t just a normal set of drums, dude… lol. They’ve been used on Iconic Chili Peppers recordings. Anything like that will drive up the value.
@@the_minimalistic_adventure btw, oc not "normal"; that would make them 7k at best.
Value and quality, this guy wins.
Quantity and bulk, Terry Bozzio no questions hahah
I'd be single after about 5 sets of drums. I am at 3 sets now.
2 sets to go! You got this 💪
Need a part 2 fosho let’s see the 400 sets
I think this the highest I’ve seen chain 😂
thatwhy he had the sunnys on you permanently crosseyed!!
Hoping to see the collections, but only 2 sets are shown. 🤣
Bro looks like an alien with those ridiculous sunglasses.
High quality. Classic Gretch
Classic set of Gretsch is from the 1980s? Ummmm LOL round badge anyone?
2 chainz is awesome 👍🏾

Nah. My heart beats like a drum drum drum
What about the Set Neil Peart used for the R 40 tour , the wood came from a swamp in Europe was hundreds of years old ,
Wow! Big collection! Shows 2 kits....
He's low-key flexing "I'M FAR MORE RICHER THAN YOU BUT I JUST KEEP A LOWER PROFILE"
Tony smmmmaaaaaaccckkkeeD !! 😂
Make vice great again!
That Metallica kit sounds amazing actually sheesh
2 chains high asf
Impressive
I see Vice has been watching Much Dank.
I have a cousin who's a studio drummer who has played with alot of great people.
He left this man speechless. :D
250k for a Gretsch kit? This is complete bs
If it recorded the Black Album, it's not.
3:51 I want that set
Sets/kits
NRG Studios , studio A I believe
All played through lowfi, on your davice, for most of y’all.
That fool look like me 👽
but we claim no lineage
There aren't any good drummers, just drummers that have a good time.
Im down for some high quality..some..some...high, high...um.
Sounds good.
Thankyou 2chains love and appreciate you please hire me as your drummer
Let 2chainz know I’ll play drums for him
I would give an arm for just one of those snares
Sold lol.
Time has indeed “surpassed”.
OMG i love this show
