Just a suggestion and question....why don't the awesome lifesavers use two or three drones to scan the waters the whole day? Sharks can be easily spotted from above.
Many people don’t realise how many blood and platelet transfusions cancer patients need. My son had over 100 blood transfusions and over 150 platelet transfusions over his 8 years of cancer treatment, starting at age 5. I didn’t know myself, until he was diagnosed and went into treatment. I always thought of car crashes and accidents, when it came to people needing blood. So now everyone I know donates, because many cancer patients need it, including many children. Thank you to anyone who has ever donated, your literally saving lives.
This is so true! When I was going through treatment I lost count of all the ones I had! It’s absolutely crazy but I’m so grateful for everyone that donates blood! ❤️
I agree with your comment.Bondi must be an awesome community to live in,its expensive but i still would love to live there.I 'd be on the beach everyday watching the bondi lifegaurds doing thier thing.I'd be talking to them too when they aren't really busy as well.
It was so smart of the rescuers to not talk to him about the shark and to ask him to focus on them! If he would've panicked and thought more about the situation, there's a good chance he could've died from blood loss since your blood pumps faster when you panic. Such great people that helped him, so glad they were out there.
That is sweet. I donate blood to Red Cross all the time because it makes me feel good knowing something so easy can help someone so much. Im glad that blood donations have helped you! Thats amazing.
I always wish I could donate blood, but due to medications I need, I'm not able to. I try to convince others to donate, and I've vowed that if for any reason I'm ever allowed to donate blood, I will. My body can always make more.
Me too. When I was 8 months pregnant I had a ruptured splenic artery aneurysm and had a ER C-section but I was a full code blue. The first night alone I received over 36 units of blood, cell saver and plasma. My son and I were the 14th known woman and baby to have both survived a ruptured SAA. Every time I see the Red Cross truck I thank the workers and people donating. Without them I would not have lived. I was loosing more than they could put in me. We’re so very blessed and thankful to everyone who donates.
Just seeing the title made me shiver, I remember when i watched this episode while binge watching bondi rescue, thank goodness lifeguards and paramedics are a thing in this world. Love you all for your hard work, dedication and passion to save people’s lives ❤
4:22 I got full body chills even though I've seen this episode. The Bondi Rescue editors really know how to foreshadow and tell the story with such respect & detail.
Im so pleased the guy who was attacked by a shark survived. What absolute gentlemen those french lads were. Heros they saved his life with the tourniquet and they were very sweet and humble
As someone from the states who vacations in Florida, I am shocked at how much precaution is taken there in Australia when a shark is spotted. Maybe Florida wouldn’t be shark attack capital if things like this were set in place.
Bondi beach, while one of the most popular beaches, its also one of the most dangerous. If you watch this series, you can see just how much training and precaution these life guards go through. It's incredible
@@JazzysCozyCrochet I taught with a lady who grew up in New Smyrna and she said it wasn’t remotely uncommon for people at her HS to walk in with a little bite. I’m like what??? I can’t even fathom going in that water.
I’ve been to Florida beaches also in Australia no so much bondi as it’s packed with surfers wannabes and tedious backpackers my time in the water was in and out in water not higher than my knees Thank you very much I saw people in bondi swimming at least two miles from shore why they do that I don’t know
I was surfing at Bondi that day and only found out about the attack when I got home and watched the news. I was surfing the Northern Beaches a few days before and saw a decent sized shark. Told a few around me surfing and they said "no worries mate, he was here yesterday". I didn't hang around.
Seeing the title made me cringe.Hope the man who lost his arm made a full recovery, the lifegaurds literally stopped this man from becoming 'shark bait'. Thankyou to the French gentleman who helped with the tornequet, they also saved his life.
This was the scariest episode of all 😢 I couldn't sleep for a week after watching, glad the man was alright after, these lifeguards are amazing 🤩🤩 keep up the amazing work 👏 🤩
i feel so bad for the man who lost his arm, even though the paramedics tried putting his arm back, they couldn’t, i literally tried not to tear up but when H said “yeah, let’s do that, i don’t want to lose Reidy” that blew me and my sister we were both sobbing other than that, the French men were quite good at explaining about Glenn’s hand, props to the other two guys for putting him on a soft board instead of leaving him there like what the majority of people do back in the UK, when you get bit by a shark, either 1 person helps, or you’re shark bait but now Glenn has surprisingly done better and he made a book what i want to buy but it’s like 30 pounds
@cheiart Pay no attention to this snot. lol I literally JUST came across another comment with him complaining about old content... yet, he's still here watching 👀 😂
I never understood how bad sharks can be, my friend and I were playing in the water and we both saw a shark and jumped on the paddel board and let my friend take us in! in short term I sacrificed my friend to a shark.

Well done to everyone that helped the guy. I really don’t understand why people still surf in those waters. If there is any chance of shark attack why take the risk?? Seriously it is not worth it!
If you want to make the beach really safe, you need to patrol it all the time with drones and have a Jet Sky ready in the water. Australia has no large land predators, the only things that want to eat you are in the water. So naturally we go in the water as much as possible.
