This is why I live for opera. And why I got bad grades in my philosophy class 😊😊. Alan Watts nails it totally, the ineffability of pure experience. And this is why I'm laughing and crying all the time, art and experience are so emotionally moving. As is truth, and Watts gets it. I was in a bad mood for a bunch of reasons, waiting in the airport parking lot to pick up my old dad. I was busy noting reasons to be bothered and then I thought "look at what he gave me, look at what my parents gave me." and I simply experienced the experience of experiencing! A massive universe full of particles, causes, and effects, and here's this little perspective that is.
It is really as simple as Allan says. But there might be some work to do, in order to come to that recognition. Capitalistic spirituality is trying to adjust you to society's standards. Be allways kind and loving 😂 Real spirituality is about recognizing the human game and letting go of all that you seem to know, even that which is most holy to you. And not perceiving yourself or anyone else as an object.
In this world of AI, I wish for every writing, every speech, ever show, EVERYTHING Alan Watts to be somehow absorbed into AI so we might get something that resembles Alan's thinking. I know this might sound undesirable for many people, but I am longing for Alan's teachings and I am sorry it came to an end, at least in his physical form. So I hope that there is something left behind that can be used to create something we can use to heal our questions.

Point is, if you're seeking a guru or teacher, you're heading off in the wrong direction. Truth is out there for any to find. Anyone can find it, and those who do were not helped by others. As you think yourself to be, so you think the world to be. If you imagine yourself as separate from the world, the world will appear separate from you and you will experience desire and fear.
I am one of them fools found God every where and went chasing like a dog and found my self a dragged rag, still today I act out of this greed since of riches I can get but always fooled to the end thinking I will get something out of it and find nothing oh well guess the journey and the best reward out of it and to come out with a still mind is the challenge.
