LG phones had all the high end specs like Samsung, and more. LG didn't do a good job of marketing their phones and didn't work on developing their eco system like Apple and Samsung.

    • @nikhilpaleti3872

Actually LG made the same mistakes as Google is making right now.
      LG V10 started at 600-650$. LG V30 cost 800$. LG V40 cost 900$. LG V60 cost 950$.
And despite this, you could find all of them under 500$ within a few months.
Basically, they failed to understand what made people love it. In pursuit of higher prices, they just alienated their core customers who loved LG for affordable, yet high quality models.
This meant no one cared to buy LG at launch, and the old "value" customers bought it after 6 months. The people who buy 1000$ phones either want extravagant features which LG doesn't do, or want that foolish Apple Logo.
Similarly now Pixel went from 600$ on the Pixel 7, upto 800$ for the Pixel 9. And now someone like me won't think of Pixel 9 till late-2025, because it's an overpriced, inferior variant of the Galaxy S24, which also costs 800$.

@@nikhilpaleti3872 Pricing was one factor but what you're saying is not completely accurate. I had friends who worked for LG research when they were here locally between 2017-2021. They told me the issues at LG. Their marketing sucked at promoting their phones. They had no ecosystem. Their software also needed work. They were second fiddle to Samsung but they priced the phones the same as samsung which I agree is a mistake. LG was the few Android mobile companies at the time with flagship specs that had an SD card slot and headphone jack after Samsung got rid of those features. They could've done a push to market their phones as the android alternative that kept all those features and priced their phones lower than Samsung to attract those customers. They didn't.
The difference between Google and LG is the hardware. LG uses Flagship chipsets like Samsung and Google uses a watered down exynos chip but right now selling it like it's a high end flagship processor. I agree that the Pixel should not be raising their prices as they are now there with Apple and Samsung. The things Google is doing correctly are software support and their ecosystem.

I own the LG V60, but I'm upgrading to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. The main reason has to do with a charge port issue that I've read a lot of people have with it... I've had my charging port replaced twice. I would gladly keep the V60, even if it's stuck on Android 13, but the hardware problem is the deal breaker for me. This is unfortunate because otherwise, I really like my V60. 😞

A cheap wireless charger will suffice. I do not have a charging issue on my V60, but I sometimes use the wireless charger when I have it in the dual case, and it works perfectly.

    • @hoppysport2872
      @hoppysport2872 12 дней назад +1

That's a great point. I haven't had a port issue yet, but I'm sure that at some point it will rear its ugly head. I actually bought an OEM port and battery. When one goes, both will be installed. However I do have an extra V60, bought from a friend in October 2021 when he "upgraded" to an iPhone 15. I do like the post where they simply used wireless charging.

I love this video. So well produced and presented. My LG V60 is 4 years old. LG gave it to me when my LG G8 failed under warranty. Why would I ever want to replace it?
    -3.5mm jack
    -32-bit Hi-Fi QuadDAC
    -Pen support
    -Expandable storage
    -Dual-screen case
    -Brilliant, sharp OLED screen
    -Battery life
    -Good speakers
    -Superb 865 processor
    -Excellent camera/video
When the battery goes I'll install a new one. I also bought my friend's V60 for $125 when he "upgraded" to an iPhone 13 in October 2021. Thats still in the bullpen. I also take it with me when I travel...just in case.

What's the best camera setting to have the V60 on for all around video recording? HD,FHD,FHD60,4K,4K60, or 8K? Don't care about data or storage as we have terabytes available through the card slot. 🤔

    • @martin360gamer9
      @martin360gamer9 27 дней назад

8k recording felt a bit stuttery and lacked any post effects when I tried it. Plus you don't get the 60 fps option for it and besides, you don't really notice the difference in resolution with your phone screen unless you're gonna view the footage on some 8k tv. Imo the best camera settings would be 4k 60 fps coz you get more details plus a less stuttery video with 60 fps. However I use 1080p 60 fps coz of storage issues as I am not using an SD card right now

I am a MASSIVE Pixel fan, but the Pixel 9 Series is for nobody.
The 100$ price-bump, with minimal improvements over the Pixel 8 Series means that the Pixel 8 Pro is the ultimate choice for everyone.
Updates? DON'T CARE! Pixel 8 gets just as many!
Cameras? Display? Charging/Battery? Not even worth being called generational upgrade. Basically same on both.
Performance has some boost, but thermals are apparently bad again, making this not-much-better.
Get the Pixel 8 Pro on offer, or wait for the Pixel 10 series with the new TSMC-based Tensor chips, hopefully with more improvements, and a lower price.

My V60s battery life is pretty terrible both on standby with AoD on or off and just as during use.
My Pixel 8 Pro beats it in pretty much every department. One of the areas that the V60 is better though is how smooth video recording is. Movement within the viewfinder during recording is like you're using an iPhone with no jitterness or tearing.
I also have the USB-C charging port problem on my V60 that's so common where it won't take charge if the cable isn't positioned right.
I've tried dailying it instead of my Pixel 8 Pro but for me it wasn't possible. Also something that's extremely underrated and I rarely if ever hear anyone talk about, is the Pixel AoD. For me it's one of the main reasons I continue to use one over any other phone. Once you get used to it, you can't go back to using any other phone.
