  • The story of the Pike Place Market is a work in progress, but the first hundred years are pretty darn interesting. See how the Market came to be, how it came to be threatened with destruction, and how it has survived again and again. Original air date: 8/16/2007

I am so happy the pike place market was saved, its not just a market but a cultural, art, music center for artists to sell art to people playing music plus the fun fish toss.

Pike Place still has great produce, meat and seafood. If you can tolerate jamming yourself between all the "window shoppers" to actually make a purchase. Especially around the flying fish market! Seems like lots of people watch but just a few actually buy.

Pike is nice....too bad I can't walk around without being harassed by the homeless or stepping in feces or catching a stray bullet from a gang fight. But, hey, as long as the city council can carry out their vision my life is a small matter. Right???👎🏿

Fool, all cities have good and bad, so take the good with the bad because all cities in America are like that.
