The Romulan Reputation includes some consumable devices, that allow a player to summon various types of Romulan and Reman reinforcements. I believe that these can be equipped to bridge officers, allowing your away team to summon even more troops during ground missions.
Use the formal suit sunglasses and focus on replicating yourself. I called it the agent smith build. Holo decoys. Strange energy emmisions and the old time duplicate device to start
I didn't use the formal suit, but I did make a build using all those pieces for the exact purpose of making a ground build that makes as many copied of yourself as possible. Didn't make a video on it because with only three parts, it wasn't that different from any other pet build.
Oh oh... and make all your Boffs (at least the ones you beam down with you) copies as well - use a name with a lot of i's and L's so you can make it look like they all have the same name even.
Ha i finding this after i have already built one just like it. My biggest differance is simply having strange energies as well. Turning ensign level enemies, even non humanoid into player copies fits the theme to a t.
I use exocomps, drones, more drones, even more drones, yet even more drones, a turret, combat pets, a mortar, the new candle, a runabout, and if I really want to, I shard of Possibilities and watch two other of myself run around. Oh yeah, and if I have even a chance, I might get to fire my Iconian pulsewave. In fact, I rarely get to unless it's a boss fight.
Ignore them. Haters gonna hate. I use the Hurricane Wave device and while it kills most, the tougher ones do survive and people get annoyed, yet I can solo one side by myself with my telekinetic alien build.
I love it! have several theme builds that use various bits and pieces of this (Section 31 char has Holo-Decoys, my WH40k Adeptus Mechanicus char has Assimilate, my pirate captain has Freelance Security etc...) Never tried just going for maximum numbers though, that sounds like fun and I'm going to have to give it a whirl I think >_< Maybe theme the char on Zapp Brannigan from Futurama. "It's simple - the Killbots have a pre-set kill limit; so I sent wave after wave of my own troops to die until they reached that limit and shut down!"
cool vid, Ground is just one thing I dont enjoy in this game, my build is non existent to a point where I chain die in any ground content, I hate it when the events are ground ones!
I find people who don't enjoy ground content typically just haven't found a ground build that they like. There are a LOT of kit modules and weapons out in the game that can make ground combat a lot of fun.
@@Stu1701 Totally, I find it confusing, but also that there doesn't seem to be nearly as many ground builds out there as there are space ones. In fact I think this is honestly the first ground build video I've seen!
I've already given all of my Bridge Officers a pet to summon (and they do) and it already feels a bit mad. Doing this as well would be a lot of fun to add, just spam the place with pets etc.
did ground combat get a rework this looks kinda fun with dual pistols i havnt played in forever and didnt get into it much because the ground combat was meh
Depends on how long it's been since you played. It never really got a rework, but a number of things have changed since launch and a lot added to it over the years. There are plenty that aren't into ground combat in STO, but, in my opinion, most of those people just haven't developed a ground build that they like.
The Voth Mech will get passive buffs from your traits and the mods from your kit frame. It should be able to buffs from the kit module powers from other players/your boffs, like if one used Quick Fix or Motivation on you. I'm pretty sure some of your own kit module buffs will carry over while the Mech is active, like it you activate a buff first of your own first before using the Mech. But pretty much all of those only last so long, so once the buff expires you won't be able to reactivate your other kit modules while the mech is active. I'll have to do some more playing around with this. A Voth Mech build video sounds like an interesting idea.

I should've mentioned those in the video. I didn't use them because they're consumables and the fact that they cost dilithium makes them not worth it.
Freelance Security Detachment kit mod also spawn soldiers.
The Emperor's Sword summons humanoids to come help fight. Pretty good fighters too. Love your stuff Stu. 🖖@@Stu1701

I was doing a ground TFO on Miner Instabilities today and I got a lot of Hate messages in the chat box for useing combat pets
