Hi Love that you both visited and enjoyed your stay in Barbados. Next time you could check out the scene in Holetwon at the weekend, also perhaps you can come in the Crop Over (carnival) season July-August and take in many of the entertainment options that occur at that time!
Having been to Barbados many times, i have to say you're wrong about the lack of food choices. Granted, there's a lot of fish, but it's a Caribbean Island after all. For caves you should have gone to Harrison's Caves. Amazing and full of the history of the island and the indigenous people. You definitely went to Oistins too early. Minimum 7pm is a start, but it gets going much later....
I still feel the same about the food. Maybe it's because of where we're staying. It seems there's a consensus that I definitely went too early 😅😅😅 Definitely when we gu back will be sure to head out a bit later. Thanks for watching, Cheers 🍻
I’m here watching your video and really wanting to return home. You missed the whole buzz of Oistins if you left at 7pm, you get the atmosphere from around 8pm onwards. Also that’s the quietest I’ve ever seen the Gap and surprised you didn’t see the flowers in the cave that open and close when you get near to them. Great video, I so need to go back.
I KNOW!!! I really didn't want to leave Oistins at that time but were really tired. Also, I was completely surprised that the GAP wasn't more lively as well, especially since EVERYONE said it would be the place to be on the weekends. Overall, really enjoyed my time there! Thank you for watching Gavin! Cheers! 🍻
I think If I would've had more time, definitely could've found some more places 😅 I can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing of run shops. What part of the island are these on?
@@CultureShockAddict they are literally everywhere and alot of them sell food. Bird's bar is Bay Street is a popular one and its right across the road from Browne's Beach.
Good morning Barbados my Beautiful Island 166squaresmiles of Beauty I am really proud and happy to see all of these Positive Videos showing the world the beauty of Barbados ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
You have no idea how honored I am to hear that. I remember back in early 2015 before I took my first international trip, I was bedridden for about 4 weeks and ended up stumbling across travel vlogs and started to binge watch a few RUclipsrs which then inspired me to travel and create my own story. I sincerely appreciate the kind words and look forward to bringing you more explorations from around the world! Cheers! 🍻
The Air BnB looks really nice. Whats the info please? .... Fyi St Lawrence Gap doesn't start jumping off till about 10pm/11pm. 8pm is too early ppl are usually still at dinner at that time.... To get a real tour its best to go with a normal day to day Taxi driver. They give you so much more info and know so much more then the organised tours. Enjoyed your vlog tho👍🏾Glad you both had a great time. Barbados is amazing 🇧🇧🙌🏾
The AirBnB is named "Tropical Oasis Studio, near Rockley" I kind of figured we were there kinda early, especially since there's a popular night spot in St.Lawrence that wouldn't even let us in because he said no one has arrived yet, and that was around 10pm! Thank you for the info regarding the taxi, wish we would've known before booking the tour 😕 Thank you for watching! Saludos! 🍻
Nice video Bro. I am from Trinidad & Tobago but reside in Canada over 3 decades. So the beer you are drinking- the Carib- is a genuine premiere beer of TRINIDAD & TOBAGO. It is not from Barbados. I think Banks is their beer. . Been to Barbados over a dozen times. Love it. Toured there in 2007 with my Steel Band music students - from Tornto-for a week. and played in schools, Hotels etc.
I sincerely appreciate your kind words! I can't wait to visit Trinidad and Tobago as well! Gotta be sure to give some tips of where to visit, eat, etc! Thank you for watching! Cheers! 🍻
Great video man and thank you, Bajans are very friendly, caring and relaxed. Most of us Bajans have very mixed families and most have nigerian mixed with british genes, we are a bit different than other caribs. Most of us have european great-great-grandmothers, other caribs have more latino grandmothers. Our kitchen also shows this uniqueness 😊😊 Rihanna for example had a very mixed family that was loved by all
Bajans are 98% African and we aren't as mixed as some people try to proclaimed. Why some Black people always claiming European heritage, I really don't know.
i also see alot of bajans not so friendly... not smiling, not responding when my husband says bye... but some are friendly yes.. but i expected more friendly😅alot looking soo serious and distant but later they are open and friendly
I appreciate the useful info, especially how the tour guide wasn’t knowledgeable, honest opinions are always welcome here. Visiting in a few weeks, so trying to watch different videos before I get there.
i was 10 days in barbados i just went 2 days to restaurant sooo expensive!! i cooked and maked sándwiches haha... in my airbnb.. i live in the netherlands and barbados is much more expensive than my country the restaurants i mean
It was SOOOOOOOO expensive!!!! We literally couldn't believe it!!! We kept asking how can the locals afford to live here on their salaries?? Even when we went to the food trucks, it was crazy expensive as well! We enjoyed ourselves and definitely recommend visiting at least once , but the prices were definitely a shock. Thank you for watching! Cheers 🍻

Boring? Hellll nah! This place is a million miles from boring! This is a place where life feels just right! I think the problem is that you’re a miserable and boring person who is jealous of people who can afford to travel to such gorgeous, exotic and exciting places!

If I’d need to buy a new SIM card or not

It is brewed in Barbados at Banks Brewery in Wildey so it is a Barbados beer for over 60 years.
