Want to know what Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East really think about the conflict? Ask a question and I will get answers.
People ask Israeli Jews, Arabs and Palestinians questions. I go out and ask random people to answer.
As an Iranian born and raised in Iran, I am proud of Iranian Israelis or their loved ones who feel still connected to their Persian culture, even with food and the best ghormeh sabzi.
My grandfather is a persian jew and he lovessss persian culture, he love persian musicians, he loves the language and the history, he adores everything that is persian related
I can always see how happy he is when he tells me how he met Iranians/persians in other countries and talked to them
@@cookiecook6784
There is something about the Persian culture and heritage which is unique. People with different ethnicities, different religions, different mother tongues keep their original identities but are united and proud of their Persian culture and heritage, enjoying each others company speaking in Farsi.
Parsi or Farsi (Arab conquerors couldn’t pronounce p) connects peoples by their hearts regardless of their differences. That’s why it has been kept alive after Islam and it was not replaced by Arabic language or dialect like what happened in other historically rich Muslim countries including Egypt. I don’t say it because Farsi or Persian language is my mother tongue, but historically “ghand e Parsi or the sweet Parsi” had connected millions as it was a literature delicacy, official language, and language of the courts from the Moghul empire in India to Ottoman Empire at some point.
It would be a lie if I tell you that there has never been discrimination against minorities in the history of the Persia or today’s Iran. But we all know that if the Persian culture is the crown, contribution of the minorities are its priceless jewels.
If it was not because of non Muslims Persians, the Persian music would be disappeared in the first century after Islam because singing or playing music was forbidden for Muslims under Islamic rules.
The first printing machine was brought to Persia by an Armenian years before it was introduced to Ottoman Empire.
If I can communicate with you in English or French, it is because of dedication and endless efforts of an Iranian Jew who wrote the first dictionary both English and French to Farsi. By many generations including mine, the dictionary was called “Haim” which is his name.
I have said all to express how I feel connected to and proud of your grandfather :)
@@MegaMandi1978 yes, I read about middle eastern history and I always find it fascinating how almost all countries that fell under the control of the Arabs became arab countries, lost their identity, language and culture, expect from persians who managed to keep their identity... even today I hear about Iranians who'd like to fight against the Islam rule and go back to their original religion zoroastrianism
@@cookiecook6784
It is expected that under oppressive religious government people become more secular if not converting :)
Apparently, like Judaism, Islam has also influenced byZoroastrianism somehow, not only philosophy but many aspect of the Islamic culture and art have been influenced by Persian culture in old Persia and today’s Iran.
For example, the famous mosques in most of the Muslim countries have white marble walls with green tile dome. But the mosques in Persia, Iran and the middle Asian countries have khaki wall with blue or turquoise tile dome some with elaborated designs of the garden which is influenced by Persian culture and Zoroastrianism and represents the sacred place where you leave the material world (the earth, the khaki walls) and reach the heavens or skies (blue tile dome with design of garden).
Interestingly, you will find similar beautiful colored tiles with design of a garden inside the one of the famous synagogues of the Tehran.
That’s what I mean by keeping the unique identity but staying proud of Persian culture and heritage. The Iranian Jews do not separate themselves or avoid using the colored tile art for the synagogue because it has been used by Muslims for the mosque. Muslims do not claim such art as theirs either. This is Persian tile art :)
I love my countrymen and I don't care where they live. As an Iranian, I am proud of all Iranians living in Israel.
They are Jew.

Much love from Israel! Love our Persian culture and it's values!! Hope that one day we'll be able to visit each other's country and that Iran will get over this difficult time.. prayers and much love goes to you guys :)
We r culturly Iranian's and Israelis
And we prowd of that
FUCK OFF WITH YOUR SATAN WORSHIP.
this is the first time i have seen an Afghan Jew.... i am Afghan too and Shalom my brother
You mean Zionists are the enemies, not Jews.
The Pashtuns are decendants from King Saul. Bani from Isreal.
Naweed sediq you can search on RUclips Afghanistan Jewish you will see them
I'm persian, born and raised with no religion but I like to call myself a zoroastrian (out of nationalism i guess) Persian jews are to me Persian with a different religion. Love them, amazing people at least never had a single bad experience with these people who always proved to be reliable, honnest and long term friends !
Hm. I'm of Persian descent but I'm from the US. My ancestors were ethnic Persians, but from all over the middle east, and Europe surprisingly, usually assimilated with the culture of that country and weren't Muslims either. Don't know the last people in my family that were from Iran, but they all spoke Farsi and kept iranian culture (to some extent)
ohhhh my God
Cyrus The Great hey brother, why was your comment hidden as spam??
***** Then obviously, you haven't assimilated and should leave the Netherlands. It's people like you who give rise to right wing nationalism. You were born and raised in the Netherlands, so by nationality you're Dutch, but by ethnicity you're Iranian.
***** then my friend you need to get your facts right. The persian jewish community is an exceptional case as they decend from those jews who willingly decided to stay in Persia rather than go back to israel when Kourosh took babylone. they have been part of the many ethnicities that forms persia for as long as Persia itself exists (2500 years)
Fact : Iran has the largest Jewish community in the middle east outside of Israel.
yeah, 4500 people. All the Arab countries are judenrein after ethnically cleansing all their jews.
Nadav Gabay צ
in all asia, not just the middle east.
after iran it's india.
u r fucked in the head , disgusting zionism=nazism
amir hossein
zionism is national liberation of the Jewish people in the Jewish holy and ancestral land.
Islam = worse than nazism
As an Israeli of only partial Persian background, I think you can definitely find a lot more Persian Jews in Israel who are MUCH more connected to their Iranian roots. The people in this video didn't seem that way. It is my dream to one day be able to visit Iran!! I hope that dream comes true! btw, Corey, I think asking people if they would go live there is a very bad question, because once a person is settled somewhere they don't just say I want to go live in another country, no matter if the government changes. All it does is a give a negative vibe to be honest when someone says no.
hopefully one day you can come! you will love it i promise
i love you
Jews are treated fairly still till this day in Iran, there’s no oppression and persecution off them also they have religious freedom!!! Sometimes it’s dirty politics that gets in the way!!!
Maybe we can go visit together. I’m Persian as well and never been. I don’t blame these people, because for a long time I didn’t want to visit, but now I would love to ✌️
I agree , esp if they were not born there and worse if their parents were not born there. I figured that gentleman ,HAIM was rather irritated by the personal questions telling him to take off his glasses really irked him because he valued his privacy (not to mention if his 'girlfriend ' might be watching at a later stage this videoclip) and life in the military just sparked a short fuse in him 9:05 . 'Why all these questions ? Are you working for the Iranian Intelligence's ' ?
2:50 The government (Iran) has not the same view as the people. This is the best answer
An Iranian Muslim, Sunni or Shiite, Baloch or Kurdish, from the Mullahs’ party or a supporter of the Shah, is a big problem. An Iranian Christian, Armenian or Assyrian or Jewish, is different from the rest.
i love persian jews. they're so warm, kind and generous.
so true :-)
Persians and Jews are both gentle, noble, kind...
Sí, es cierto. Dos bellas naciones. Los persas no tienen la culpa de la actitud de su gobierno.
Persian people in general are very nice. Right now in America (right or wrong) Muslims are viewed negatively but when talking about Persian Muslims, I've never heard anything bad. Warm, friendly people that love their culture but also have found a way to assimilate without abandoning the mother culture.
MrNice Guy Yes, I know only one (half) Persian guy, he was my lab partner, but he's the most awesome guy ever! Seriously, Persians in the West seem to be really open-minded people!
As an afghan, this video broke my heart .... I feel so sad that our jewish brothers were forced to leave their homecountry. May god protect you and make our country safe again, so one day we can rejoine and live in peace inside our own country.

The more free you are the better the smile.
Bless you for the truth. I'm in the U.S. My grandparents never locked their doors. Crime, terrorism, racism, hatred -only in the large northeastern cities. Now it is everywhere. Americans HATE each other. As a boy I thought Israel the worst place to be, its good now to see all the smiles. Maybe we can get ours back some day.
Who the hell are you, you moron? Persian? Those who were called Persian thrived on diversity and respect for other cultures. They would be shaking in their graves to know some ignorant inbred like you calls himself a Persian. Besides, the country is called Iran and we are Iranian not Persian. Get some education and learn to respect people, or stop trolling the net giving Iranians a bad name.

Yes, people still celebrate Norouz in Israel, but (as you can see from the video) more and more people are of mixed background and the popularity of the holiday has declined a bit. But it's celebrated by Iranian, Azeri, Kurdish, and other Jews from those areas.

I'm persian and I don't like ghormeh sabzi
I am from Iran. My father was born in 1950 in a very small but ancient town in the mountains. He told me stories about the jews who lived in the jewish quarter of the town since antiquity. One story was about a jewish doctor who was called "pir musa" (son of moses in the local language). He was a very kind man. He also treated people who could not afford to pay him. They gave him eggs or cheese other stuff they had and he accepted it. Unfortunately this community like many others left Iran. I hope the grandchildren of kaka musa live a happy life. I would love to meet one of them once and visit the old town where our ancestors lived together in the mountains.
Viva PEACE and RESPECT between Iranians/Persians and Israelis and all nations.
Sigh, you know, it seems like a real shame that two ancient cultures are such bitter enemies today, it really does.
So true.
Because its not the culture, its a foregin ideology that took over Iran. The ancient persians let the jews return to their homeland in judea from the Babylon expulsion with cyrus edict, they let the jews rebuild their holy temple in jerusalem. They were zionists. The iranian regime is opressing the culture and inhabitants of iran
As an Iranian who's visited Israel number of times, I must say that I genuinely felt like home each time I visited Israel.
Long live the GREAT NATION OF ISRAEL!
Are you still ridicilously funny as 5 years ago ? 😂

Beni Habibi I knew there were Jews in Afghanistan at one time but didn't know they were the Pashtuns. I'll have to check that out, interesting stuff. Thanks.
Beni Habibi That's actually a myth. The Pashtuns are indigenous to the region en genetic testing has proved that they are largely connected to the Iranic peoples around them (Tajiks, Baluchis, etc.). It is true that some claim Hebrew heritage, but that is quite easy to explain. When the Arab muslim armies conquered the region, they needed myths in order to Islamise the indigenous population. One of the tactics was to connect the conquered peoples (in this case the Pashtuns) to prominent peoples in the Koran. Well, few take a more prominent role than Jews. All but one of the Islamic prophets were Jews. In a similar fashion some Islamic peoples claim Macedonian heritage, as a result of Alexander the Great's mentioning in the Koran. I'm sure that there has been some mixing, as Jews have lived in the region for centuries, but to say that Pashtuns are Jews is historically and scientifically false. That said, there are obviously many cultural similarities, as both Jews (and especially Persian/Afghan Jews) and Pashtuns/Afghans are 'eastern' peoples.
myusername sucksheaps You should look up the Israeli-Palestinian actor Ashraf Barhom. When I saw the dude in the video, I first thought that was him. Crazy resemblance.
Afghan what you said makes a lot of sense.actually. could you send me some links to this genetic testing you were talking about?
Israelis and Persians were close friends for thousands of years before this ISLAMIC REGIME.

Rostam Amirzadeh Really that's all you have to say after exposing your hell hole of a nation? Lets realize something, everyone hates Iran and Persians, from Afghans to Arabs and even Americans and Turks. Your despised by everyone especially your neighbours on how you treat minorities like afghans in your country. Your nation has no proper human rights concerning women and you stone and jail people who speak against the government.
So who really is the violent one here?
My Jewish ancestry comes from around the Irainian region. And to think that they are such big enemies of Israel now. It's a shame.
Mosavi Gilani Personally, I like Israel. I don't mind the normal arabs, but the crazy ones are a no no.
Mosavi Gilani All the Muslim countries where dictators were removed are worse off now.
Mosavi Gilani I already know all that, you're telling me nothing new. Sadam was good, Asad is good, Gadaffi was good, Mubarak was good. Those countries needed to have an iron fist to keep them in line. But one mans failure is another mans gain. Suck it up.
Mosavi Gilani The USA doesn't need to attack Iran, Russia or North Korea, because they have military bases surrounding all of them already. So if they try anything they'll get fucked to pieces.
Mosavi Gilani That's the whole point of creating wars, because then you have an excuse to set up military bases.

Notice how Persian Jews talk about Israel when not having to worry about the Iranian government watching them to see if they say the wrong things or not.
They are afraid to speak their minds about how bad Israel is because the Zionist regime will persecute them. They are held hostage in Israel and only desire to be reunited with their Persian motherland, but they and their families were tricked into moving to IsraelHell by the Ashkenazi Zionists. Now they bitterly regret that decision but it might be too late because they have betrayed the motherland.

Morrocan jews are the second biggest jewish-national group in Israel,

some of them better not even say they are Iranians. They are shame. Im Iranian and I love all Iranians but some of these people have forgotten their roots and backgrounds shame on you.
You can't blame them, they were born in Israel and don't have a daily connection to Persian tradition
I dont get why you say "Persian Jews" Iranian Jews are descendants from the jews that stayed in Iran after Iranian king, Cyrus the Great freed them from captivity in Babylon.
They are not Persian.
Also whats up with so many being half Iranian half Moroccan?
Is this really true? I heard they were converts for the most part.
Persians Jews look very similair in their appearance to non-Jewish Persians which proves that Jews are mostly descendant from populations of the countries they original came from. For example: Ethiopian Jews, Yemeni Jews, Chinese Jews, Indian Jews, etc.
clearly you haven't been to Iran... they barely look like the non-Jews and if so there were a lot of Iranian Jews who converted to Islam...

Im an iranian christian who knew many jewish families back home, since we carry the same rights in iran. One family i knew went to israel at the height of the war and was very surprised to find that the Israelis confiscated their Iranian passports on arrival, so they wouldnt go back. They were told to speak hebrew and were bullied at school when they didnt. Once word got back to the other Jewish families in Iran, most avoided Israel and either went to the USA, or stayed in Iran.
Interesting and upsetting story.. never heard of it(I'm Israeli with Persian roots)
Thing is, it was pretty much like that for all new immigrants in Israel.. there's even a very funny old skit about how every new group of immigrants is immediately hated and ridiculed by the group that came before them(who were themselves treated that way by those who came before them).
But anyway, nowadays it's very different.. there's really not much racism or different attitudes based on ethnicity.. Today Persian Jews will be accepted very well ❤
@@Daniper1 dude you guys just wanted free land and a better economy since Iran was in shambles after the revolution. what a disgrace. to leave 2500 years of hospitalities and co-existence for 2 or 3 years of instability.
"What do you do related to Poland?" "Nothing." As an Ashkenazi Jew living in the US, same bro.
You come off very aggressive and accusatory in your questioning It puts your interview subjects on defense.
I know the word "Hodafes" :))
Do you mean khodafez? :D
arjan kiani I think H is pronounced kh sometimes in Hebrew? Please correct me if im wrong, I am not a native Hebrew speaker (only some words lol)
arjan kiani yes ^_^ my friend came from Iran 16 years ago when she was 10 and I learned it from her.
1q1q1q981 kind of. I used H for "h" as is and also to "ch" which is soft "kh".. and yes, I meant khodafez (;
1q1q1q981 There is both; basically two"H's": H an KH
mika k It is Khodafez which is a short version of Khdahafez! Which means god be with you or more like god be your protector. But I think you should just say Hodafes because it sounds extremely cute no one would correct you :)
Why only men?
Such handsome men!
These are not official ethnicities. If they are Jews, these are called countries of exile( Galut). The official ethnicities of Israel are Jews, Arabs, Armenians, Druzes, and some more.
I love the diversity of Israeli jews.
Very interesting--thanks for this.
The guys at 7:18 are totally stoned! Hahahahaha.
It would be intersting to ask them about how Israel is always accusing Iran of harbouring nuclear weapons..
The Afghani guy is so handsome. Wow
1:29 birthday song wtf?
I find it troubling how most Israelis assert that they have a right to Palestinian land yet the majority of them and their families aren't even from there and haven't for centuries.
roomforthefiiixins neither have "Palestinians" they came from Syria, Egypt, etc etc.
Palestinians can trace back their lineage in Palestine. Israelis cannot.
literally the other way around LMAO
ArthurKnoqOut Barely a single Israeli can tell you that their grandparents were born in Israel.
roomforthefiiixins the "palestinians" are mostly egyptian and saudi.
I love to visit ISRAEL & meet & mix with israeli people... cos I feel we can get on very well, even though there's so many problems!!!...who knows may be one day. "PEASE & BLESSINGS TO ALL"...Aameen.
These people are not Persian. At least half of them in this video were not. What the hell is a Moroccan guy doing saying he is Persian. What a joke!
He said he's half Persian, just to answer the question.. Like being Persian is something to be proud of. I would much rather be Moroccan then Iranian. Have you ever heard anybody say" Let's go to Iran for Vacation? Its not even imaginable!lol lol. But people all over the world dream of visiting Morocco , Casa Blanca the beautiful Mediterranean. Israelis are very proud of their Moroccan a
ncestry, unlike Iranians that call themselves Persian to hide their identity.
Bobby A So what? You bigoted moron. Let people be themselves. Typical Arab/Israeli.
+Ciaron Smith No one wants to be Persian, even persians hate being persians, this is why you get plastic surgery to change your ethnic look.
Levant No chance. Everybody is super proud to be from one of the greatest civilization. They change their look because they have big noses like Jew. But they are badass.
Ciaron Smith Then why do iranians always change their names? I mean if you're so proud why take up english names the moment you step foot in the west. Why get plastic surgery to change their face, their ethnic identity. I am assuming you are an Iranian named Ciaron Smith lol.
Still people have the energy to hate the "other", really?!,people are so entangled,it does not make any sense to hate each other, why we love each other till the end of times?,what have we got to lose.🤷🏼♂️
The Afghani Jew is so adorable omg 😍 can someone link me up with him haha

*****
persian and dari speakings are same
dari is modern type of persian language but iranis dont understand this language and dari speakings dont understand persian language
You take the person from Iran but not the iranien out of the person.
finally some Persian people outside Iran who don't want to visit Iran. I can die in peace now.
why don't you ask Palestinian people about how they feel about Iran? about Iranian government that love them more than its own people.
They hate persians, also becouse they are shia and also becouse they see persians as enemies of arabs. Althou they hate jews more
Most of them are only half persian
Why’s there a Jewish equivalent in facial features to every Arab/Muslim I’ve seen/known? It gets me thinking they could’ve been us or we could’ve been them in a parallel universe 😂😂
There is no such thing as a "persian jew" or "iranian jew"...it is an oxymoron. Persians/Iranians are Indo-European in ethnicity, culture and language. Jews are Semitic/Afircan blooded (synonymous with arabs, somalis, sudanese). These just happen to be Jews that might have lived in iran at one time and moved to the british-invented "israel" in recent decades. You can clearly see the faces are Semitic, not Aryan.
So confusing when so many people on the internet insist Jews are Europeans.
So you think Persian/Iranian Christians, Muslims, Zoroastrian etc. have Indo-European (Aryan) ethnicity but when it comes to Judaism it's Semitic/African.
10s of thousands of Jews in Iran and in particular in Pars are Zoroastrian converts.
Reminds me of a recent post that referred to "anglo-saxon Jews"
Racists don't have a clue, do they?
They look nothing like Iranians, Freddie Mercury was a Parsi from India and you can see clear Persian facial structure, these guys they showed are very semitic
