Hi Justin Port'a, nice vide as always. I too am an agnostic atheist. I too share many of the same thoughts and ideas as you. One thing that keeps recurring in my mind whenever I think about these things is that.....why are humans so out of place when in nature. We seem to be the only animal that doesn't quite belong... It makes me think about the Sumerian 'myth' and I often toy with the idea that maybe there are something else out there that perhaps visited earth in the deep past, and 'created' the human species. Sounds far out I know, but I am open to entertaining such ideas since leaving the cult. It fascinates me. How do you feel about it?
I don't think we are from outer space ,the closest Galaxy to our Milky Way Galaxy is the Andromeda Galaxy which very well may have life in it ,but it would take us 56 years to travel there travelling at the speed of light ,the life forms out there may be super intelligent with all types of superior technology but if they only have life spans of 70 or 80 years there,ll die on the return trip of old age . Maybe there's not so intelligent life out there that lives 100,s of years old but has no technology. The fact that life is so very rare in the universe and fossils of Mungo Man in Australia which are complete human skeletons of very ape like people ,over 40,000 years old and 2 complete skeletons one of a male discovered in 1968 and one of a female discovered in 1974 discovered at Lake Mungo in Central Australia. Google Mungo Man for more information
@@justinporter458 If there are intelligent life elsewhere in the universe then it would not be far fetched to believe that they would probably know how to get from point A to B using worm holes or by means of some other exotic physics that we are not aware of at this point(?) Regardless, its just something that I fancy, and like you, continue to ponder. I will look up the Mungo man for more information. Thanks for replying!
I guess it's a bit like coming to the conclusion that 'reality is real' :), it is what it is... Something I do understand well is that if you see the way life goes about its business, it's a very cruel, selfish, cut throat kind of nature. People kind of desperately hope there's something more 'cause this is really sad... if you think a lot about it. Even plants, it's a struggle to monopolise light and soil, they even use chemical warfare, shrubs grow higher and the smaller plants die in the shadow, trees grow even higher than shrubs so even the shrubs die, climbing plants then find their way to the tops of the trees and steal the light from the trees, sometimes even strangling the trees, there's parasitic plants like mistletoe, that eat the juices of the tree they live on and if the tree is completely overtaken they end up destroying their host, slowly... Then there's the bulbs that load in summer and grow very fast so they beat the rush hour... Just to say: lots of stress in the forest, it's funny how people go for a walk to think and clear their mind, all this strive going on... and that's just the life that can't move, didn't even mention the animals... it's a mess out there.
Great comment Marc ,plants ,thank God they don't suffer like the poor animals ,hyenas eating a baby impala alive while the mother watches on ,I saw a monkey being eaten alive by a eagle in some documentary, how cruel is that and a eagle,s beak must hurt and watch a wild psychopath chimpanzee documentary and its bloody violent R rated what a psychopath God and Bonobos sex maniacs , Why ? all because Adam stole a apple ,and we humans puzzle seeking primates demanding meaning and purpose in our lives when there is none so we make up stories .Thank God I,m a Atheist and a apple a day keeps God away .
@@justinporter458 at least we have Albert Camus, in the book 'the plague', or 'la peste' in French, he comes to the conclusion that against so much indifference and suffering, the human capacity to be 'decent' is so important to give meaning. If you call that 'the love of god', also fine, but it's a thing humans seem to have more than chimps, although not every human, which is also sad.
Interesting view !😮
I loved hearing your take 😁❤️
