Thanks for posting. It is a good thing i came up to your video because, for bad or good, it happened that you faced many problems that no other people ask, like the tires beeing correctly and firmly tightened. Also, you wrecked your car against other car, also having more battery power. Really, really appreciate your video because it will make me think it twice before buying this truggy.
No problem at all! I like hearing commentaries. I do believe the Vorza is well the prize, the problem of course is a lot of money to use the toy once in a month. But i am an HPI fan and will probably relay on the brand.
I think it was worth it. So far it has been pretty durable. Only broken parts have been a rear a-arm from getting rammed by another rc & a dogbone. No problems with the esc.
It should handle it but it's hard to say without knowing what the vehicle is. The owners manual should tell you what it can handle for batteries. If you don't have the manual you should be able to look it up on line.
I think the Vorza is a great middle of the line buggy. It has seen some jumping abuse and it seems to be pretty rugged. I think it makes a better basher than racer. It's a little on the heavy side.
I feel they're two different style cars. I personally like the Vorza better than the E-Revo. It seems to handle better on the hard pack, it jumps more level and is easier to control in the air, and so far it has been more durable. The E-Revo is faster stock for stock and i will use the E-Revo if I'm going to a pit or want to do some major jumps. Hope that helps.
I've never tried an e-maxx. Both stock i like the vorza better. It seems to handle & jump better for me. The e-revo is fast & is better in a sand pit. They're really 2 different types of cars. I'm sure if you know what you're doing the e-revo can be set up to handle good too.
This buggy and the Thunder Tiger MT4-G3 are the best 1/8 scale bashing options on the market. You can't go wrong with a Vorza. Just upgrade those shitty rear hub carriers and you're golden.
..the idea is use one type whether it be Traxxas or Deans(Ultra Plugs) and stick to it and keep all of your R/C's using the same connectors, because those universal connectors that come with those Venom batts and others as well simply create more resistance and heat which is BAD...... I hope you're pickin up what I am layin down
what you need to do is cut the existing plugs off of either your ESC or Batteries and solder on the connectors that most of your vehicles use..... Say you have lots of Traxxas connectors on your other vehicles then the smart move is to get a set of female Traxxas connectors..
hi pal, not only i've witnessed abt hpi esc easy to burnt out but after for what i've seen yr JUST driven ard vid on yr vorza, my confident on vorza went even down bcos not only yr pinion gear went loose, but also yr rear axle area! No jumping but only driven ard & this can happening on yr gear & rear axle! Gosh....it shocked me even harder & i not sure wanna get this buggy in de end! so pal, issit worth buying vorza???
Clearly you did not understand my commentary. I said that it will make me think it twice, before buying. I was appealing to the fact that when you buy one of these toys, sometimes things go well and sometimes things go not as good (as the author of the video showed us). What a better evidence than seeing this rather than telling or hearing. I own a Trophy, very happy with the car, cheap and though I must say. Vorza is not sold locally, i need to buy it from Amazon.
I don't know how those venom lipos are lasting you, because I had same 2s lipos and one puffed up after 9 runs and stopped taking charge. I stopped using Venom after that since they are the crappiest batteries in my experience.
How are those venom lipos that you have are they the 1558, 5000mah 25c 7.4 2cell? If so I was thinking about purchasing them for my savage hp flux what do you think? New to the hobby having a hard time finding battery and charger.
ok thanks i found out :) and i might just get an entirely new traxxas rustler i mean i dont already have one but im getting one so could you tell me a good battery for it if you know and i dont want one that will make it go 70+ mph cuz im not that pro and thanks again :)
ive been in the hobby for maybe 2 years had a 1/16 e redo and a slash 4x4 and i wanted to get a buggy. is this a middle of the line buggy? is it good quality? is it for bashing? is it for racing?
hey pal, can u give me a simple list that which parts need to changed to alum parts & which parts i need to aware of! cos i also wanna buy from ebay to singapore too pal! thanks bud. , )
Good review, but you only used 4s?? This thing is geared so low, it will only do 50 kph on 4s. My dominator does 80 kph on 4s. 6s is when this cars power shows. It will hit 80kph but it will hit it fast. Its acceleration on 6s is insane, due to the high torque motor and lower gearing. (You can add 2 teeth and it will do a hundred without losing much torque.)
wut do you think would happen if i put 7.2V, 3000mAH battery in my brushed motor truggy i just wanna know cuz i am kinda new to the rc car hobby and just wanna make sure it wont damage the motor or anything :) please comment back asap :) thanks :D
Those plastic rear carriers are weak as hell on multiple HPI vehicles, including the trophy series buggies and truggies. I broke my rear carrier on my trophy truggy on the first pack. Cheap to fix, but still annoying. Upgrading to aluminum HP parts is highly recommended.
Alot faster also. Very low geared for crazy torque but still hits 50mph on this gearing. You can add 2 teeth to pinion, get 60mph without losing Hardly Any Torque.
u wont really get the vorza to wheelie its to low to the ground compaired to your e-revo... bang a 20T pinion on the motor ive done it to my hyper 7 and its mental power now and loads more low end punch to get some wheelies some times! and a good 20MPH on top speed as well! im going to get another 20t for my vorza as thats on 17t at the moment i chewed up the 18t lol and get rear alloy hubs will stop that hub coming off! the only thing i want now is a better center driveshaft! they bend easy..
WHAT!!! IF I WERE U, I WILL BUY ONLY ONCE & STICK TO THAT PROBLEMATIC AREAS ON DE VORZA! I WON'T BUY ANOTHER 1. HPI STANDS FOR (High Price Items) & their items is not cheap k, just look @ savage flux hp price! gosh! , )
Thanks for posting. The MUSIC does noting for your videos !
Yep. The music is pure rubbish.
I think it was worth it. So far it has been pretty durable. Only broken parts have been a rear a-arm from getting rammed by another rc & a dogbone. No problems with the esc.
I like it a lot. It's fast & durable. The biggest down side is it's a little on the heavy side.
I enjoyed your clip. Great stuff! Thanks for posting.
Please God make the music stop!
Crap innit yawn.
Before the vorza all i had were traxxas vehicles, so i all ready had a bunch of lipos with traxxas connectors.
I thinks so. I'm plan on trying some racing this coming spring with it.
Yes those are the batteries i have. They seem to work pretty good. I don't really care for the adapters they use on the end of the plug though.
It should handle it but it's hard to say without knowing what the vehicle is. The owners manual should tell you what it can handle for batteries. If you don't have the manual you should be able to look it up on line.
So far they have been working ok. A friend has had trouble with them though.
I think the Vorza is a great middle of the line buggy. It has seen some jumping abuse and it seems to be pretty rugged. I think it makes a better basher than racer. It's a little on the heavy side.
I've had good luck with dynamite speed packs. Both the 7.4V 5300mAh 2S 25C & the 11.1V 5300mAh 3S 25C lipos.
51mph out of box!...love it thumbs up.
the weakest parts are the c hubs and front and rear wheel carriers (this will also increase the steering accuracy )
I think it goes great. I'm trying some Duratrax tires right now.
I have broken more parts on the e-revo, but i've also launched it off a bit bigger jumps.
Even with those problems I would buy a Vorza again for bashing. For racing I would probably pick something different.
I like the beat to the video, it has a unique sound who made it?
I've never tried an e-maxx. Both stock i like the vorza better. It seems to handle & jump better for me. The e-revo is fast & is better in a sand pit. They're really 2 different types of cars. I'm sure if you know what you're doing the e-revo can be set up to handle good too.

Yeah I have been using Zippy's from hobby king since then , and no issues at all , but you have a nice buggy though tough and durable.
why added connectors? the venom packs come with the universal connector pack included
I like the Vorza better than the E-Revo. It seems to handle & jump slightly better, but the E-Revo is slightly faster.
So far I've had good luck with dynamite speedpack, venom & spc batteries.
I'm really not sure which parts you should upgrade to aluminum. So far i haven't seen much you need to be aware of.
I haven't had any over heating problems running 2 3s or 2 2s in series.
..the idea is use one type whether it be Traxxas or Deans(Ultra Plugs) and stick to it and keep all of your R/C's using the same connectors, because those universal connectors that come with those Venom batts and others as well simply create more resistance and heat which is BAD...... I hope you're pickin up what I am layin down
Its mild because your only running 25c batteries. It says clearly that a minimum of 45c must be used or you will cause engine harm.
thanks and i still have a coupple of questions. is it waterproof? whats its top speed with different batteries? does it need a motor upgrade?
Dude the Trophy is 4s lipo compatible!
I'd say they are pretty close in that regards.
The vorza has a faster motor & can handle 11.1v 3s batteries so that's why i picked it over the trophy buggy.
what you need to do is cut the existing plugs off of either your ESC or Batteries and solder on the connectors that most of your vehicles use..... Say you have lots of Traxxas connectors on your other vehicles then the smart move is to get a set of female Traxxas connectors..

It's not waterproof. I'm not sure of the top speed but it's pretty fast with two 11.1v 3s batteries. I don't think it needs a motor upgrade.
What i meant to say was the Vorza can handle two 3s batteries while the Trophy can only handle two 2s, or one 4s, batteries.
Clearly you did not understand my commentary. I said that it will make me think it twice, before buying. I was appealing to the fact that when you buy one of these toys, sometimes things go well and sometimes things go not as good (as the author of the video showed us). Hpi trophy is 4s vorza 6s i using 1 lipo pack in my trophy 4200mah 14.8 v have not had any wheels fallen of lol its a great rc have no complaints
I know what in doing but I'm going to go with the vorza thanks. What lipo do you recommend for this
How do you like your vorza i love mine i stole the tires off my loss 8ight 2.0 for track use
I don't know how those venom lipos are lasting you, because I had same 2s lipos and one puffed up after 9 runs and stopped taking charge. I stopped using Venom after that since they are the crappiest batteries in my experience.

I'm not sure. I don't have a trophy buggy to compare it to. I'd try emailing the company that make the outerwears.
Its a great basher not so good with speed but it can be made to go fast.
I'm not 100% positive but i believe the HP is faster. I believe it has a higher kv motor & that's the difference.
Music is annoying
ok thanks i found out :) and i might just get an entirely new traxxas rustler i mean i dont already have one but im getting one so could you tell me a good battery for it if you know and i dont want one that will make it go 70+ mph cuz im not that pro and thanks again :)
Rating 1-10 what would give the vehicle ? And is it worth the price tag ?
Daniel Finn-Kelly If give it an 8. Very solid, just a little on the heavy side compared to a pure race buggy.
8. They just came out with a new version
Thanks what's more durable
hi im planning to get the vorza and already owned the brushless e-revo... so was it worth getting the vorza or should i just stick with the e-revo?
ive been in the hobby for maybe 2 years had a 1/16 e redo and a slash 4x4 and i wanted to get a buggy. is this a middle of the line buggy? is it good quality? is it for bashing? is it for racing?
Yes
How's the suspension on the vorza and tires compared to erevo
You said you had two new batteries, were you running them series to make it 4S, or just running it on 2S individually, before you did the 6S that is?
hey pal, can u give me a simple list that which parts need to changed to alum parts & which parts i need to aware of! cos i also wanna buy from ebay to singapore too pal! thanks bud. , )

HI PAL, ITS BEEN 3MTHS ON YR VORZA NOW & CAN U TELL ME IS IT WORTH BUYING & DURABLE IN PARTS, DE ESC EZ BURNT OUT???
And do you recommend the trophy truggy or buggy over the vorza
Those plastic rear carriers are weak as hell on multiple HPI vehicles, including the trophy series buggies and truggies. I broke my rear carrier on my trophy truggy on the first pack. Cheap to fix, but still annoying. Upgrading to aluminum HP parts is highly recommended.
What's better erevo emaxx brushless or vorza
What are you running for gearing?
if i ever wanted to enter some races could i do it with this one?
Does the vorza jump better
can you use the outerwear cover for the vorza on the hpi trophy buggy flux
I have an easier time jumping the vorza in the air, but a friend of mine can jump my e-revo just fine.
What's the diffrence beetween flux and flux Hp and which be is faster
Can I run 3s and 2s in series without heating problems
So how do you like the Vorza?
Hi pal, can it take 17mm wheel?
It's Odin Smith
Blue locktite on tread and its much more safe ;)
And can you please make another review but I depth
I think they're slightly better on the vorza.
It's way better than the E-Revo what are you talking about?
Alot faster also. Very low geared for crazy torque but still hits 50mph on this gearing. You can add 2 teeth to pinion, get 60mph without losing Hardly Any Torque.
can you fit these shocks on the trophy buggy???
so how would you compare it with e revo brushless, coz i m planning to buy one, i cud choose either frm e revo or vorza help me plz
I'll see what i can do.
I heard that the vorza is way more durable than Traxxas
what does it even mean "handle & jump slightly better"??
u wont really get the vorza to wheelie its to low to the ground compaired to your e-revo... bang a 20T pinion on the motor ive done it to my hyper 7 and its mental power now and loads more low end punch to get some wheelies some times! and a good 20MPH on top speed as well! im going to get another 20t for my vorza as thats on 17t at the moment i chewed up the 18t lol and get rear alloy hubs will stop that hub coming off! the only thing i want now is a better center driveshaft! they bend easy..
I saw a vorza doing standing start backflips like my mini revo. Maybe he locked the centre diff
What state do u live in
how much was it?
U charge it.......
only 25c ???? want 35 plus on that then try it full throttle !!!!!! good times :D
Maine
My Trophy Truggy Flux destroys my E Revo !!! Wrong comparison to compare this to the E Revo
Anything beats the E-Revo IMO... God I'm glad I got rid of that ride.
In depth
excuse me, but what?
34444 mamba monster truk
It looks like you dont like a Vorza :D
dis
seriously that intro was too long and sounded awful
also its not a traxxas so why would it use traxxas connectors instead of standard t connectors
WHAT!!! IF I WERE U, I WILL BUY ONLY ONCE & STICK TO THAT PROBLEMATIC AREAS ON DE VORZA! I WON'T BUY ANOTHER 1. HPI STANDS FOR (High Price Items) & their items is not cheap k, just look @ savage flux hp price! gosh! , )
Worst music ever in a video!! Turn that shit off!!!
I agree 💯
