There was a weird request channel on regular television called The Box. You made a call, got charged for a song and they played the song. Two songs nearly destroyed the channel, Thuggish Ruggish Bone and Put em on the Glass by Sir Mix-a-lot. These songs played for days on end and it was glorious.

So apparently she was just a random person I think walking past the studio or past then standing outside and said she can sing. And they pretty much brought her in right there to do the hook
yeah, Krayzie bone told the story of how they were outside the studio smoking and Shatasha just Happened to be walking up to them and asking them what the building was and what they were doing and telling them that she could sing they told her to sing, and she did, and the rest is History
