It is amazing to see someone like Richard Nixon deciding what might be a good story to tell during the interview, and then simply waiting for the cue to begin, and then asking about if S.O.B. can be used, and then waiting again. It's like you are really there with him in that studio.
He had his flaws. He was also brilliant. I think he did his recompense. It wasn't easy for him to admit his wrongdoing but he DID IT! One of America's finest presidents.

Then one day I happened to turn on the TV and by chance cought Nixon's resignation speech live as it happened. A historical moment. I felt bad for him. You can respect the man while not agreeing with everything he did.

I suspect Nixon was never asked in any interview "do you think men can be just as effective as politicians as women"? It all starts from the unquestioned background premise, simply taken as granted, that men are the norm and the standard against which women's fundamentally different natures should be compared and judged (by men).
