    How timely. The previous owners of my home, ( I've lived here for 30 years ) left a huge Yew on the side of the house that was made to be a large ornamental bush. I have been taking care of it for the last thirty years, but have never known what to do to it exactly. Its a prime specimen, and I have been considering doing some very radical styling, and start training, but I havent seen many of these as Bonsai. I guess my first thing to research would be, when would be the best time to do some very aggressive branch pruning and wiring on a very old, large specimen.

    I just never ever see Yews this big. They are either pencils or landscaping that would get me arrested if I tried to take it.
