I have always decorated for winter. My style looks so much like yours. I get so many compliments, but I always get a few “oh, you still have your Christmas decor up.” I then have to explain that Christmas is packed away and this is actually winter. I’m blessed to have a beautiful woods in my backyard that is a never ending source of beautiful winter treasures. I use a lot of wood branches, greens, bird nests and pine cones throughout my home. I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and especially enjoyed the tranquil music that set the tone.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! It sounds like your home is truly beautiful with all the natural elements from your woods. I love how you use wood branches, greens, bird nests, and pine cones-they really bring the winter season indoors. It’s always wonderful when your style is recognized, even if you have to explain the transition from Christmas to winter decor! I’m so happy you enjoyed the presentation and the tranquil music. Wishing you continued joy and inspiration as you decorate with nature’s treasures! ❄️🌲❤️
Love leaving out snowmen, snowflakes, smaller green tress and yes a rustic reindeer for the forest and snow. Put out what you love. Some of my winter decor stays because I love it.
That sounds absolutely charming! Snowmen, snowflakes, and rustic touches like reindeer really capture the beauty of winter. I completely agree-decorating with what you love makes a space feel extra special and cozy. It’s wonderful that some of your winter decor stays around to continue bringing joy! ❤️❄️
For the Holiday season, I start with a neutral winter base adding in the glitz of shiny metallic baubles. After the Holidays, I break out the flocked stems and picks for arrangements and garland. I restyle my mantle garland with iced and flocked picks as well. I love layering luxe textiles like faux fur and velvet. Winter styling to me, is an indoor reflection of what is going on outside as far as the color palette, while keeping the cozy factor alive without feeling "Holiday" specific. In Upstate NY, we won't see Spring until late March so evergreens, white, taupe and brown is the perfect palette for me.

Perfect “Hygee”** decor…….I love January and February. I leave all my SNOW/WINTER decor up through 2/28. Lots of white, dark green and wood tones….👍🏻 ** a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture). "why not follow the Danish example and bring more hygge into your daily life?"
Thank you so much! I absolutely love how you described your January and February decor-it sounds so cozy and inviting! The combination of white, dark green, and wood tones definitely creates that perfect hygge vibe. It’s wonderful to embrace that sense of warmth and contentment all through the winter months. The suggestion to use warm ambient lighting with candles and string lights is brilliant. It creates such a magical and serene atmosphere, perfect for unwinding during the cold winter nights. Great video
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the idea of using warm ambient lighting-it really does make a cozy, serene atmosphere, especially during those chilly winter nights. I appreciate your kind words, and I’m happy you found the video helpful! 🌲❄️❤️

Personally, after Christmas I stay away from red and green together. I think of snow, pine cones, deer, silver, whites, evergreens etc. All of those things are wintery and not just Christmas. She also incorporated neutral and natural textures. I love winter.
Great question! To keep your decor wintery without looking too Christmas-y, consider swapping out any overtly festive elements like red, gold, or traditional Christmas ornaments for more subtle winter touches. Use neutral tones like whites, grays, and soft greens. Swap Christmas-specific items like stockings for simple cozy throws or winter-themed pillows, and keep natural elements like pinecones and evergreens, but remove any overt holiday symbols. You can also add a few snowflakes or bare branches to give it that wintry vibe without the Christmas look. It’s all about creating a serene, peaceful atmosphere for the season! 🌲❤️❄️
Thank you for your question! You can find some great skinny benches on Amazon. Options like the Wnutrees Farmhouse Wood Bench perfect for adding style and functionality. Be sure to measure your space and check reviews to find the one that works best for you! ❤️
Thank you for asking! Unfortunately, I don’t have the specific paint brand and codes for the trim and siding used in the video. However, I recommend looking for classic neutral shades for a timeless look-something like a soft white or light gray for the trim and a subtle warm tone for the siding. If you’re aiming for a specific look, feel free to share more details about your style preferences, and I’d be happy to offer more suggestions! ❤️🌲❄️
Thanks for your comment! I completely understand-shopping online has become a go-to for many of us. For heavy textured throws and pillows, I recommend checking out places like Pottery Barn, Wayfair, and even Etsy for unique, handmade options. You can also find some beautiful pieces at West Elm or Anthropologie. I’ll make sure to mention sources in future videos! Let me know if you need more ideas. Happy decorating! 🌲❄️
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Stockings really do add a special charm, don’t they? They’re such a classic and cozy touch-hard to leave out! Wishing you a wonderful holiday season full of warmth and joy! ❤️🌲❄️
Hi Donna, welcome to the channel! I’m so glad you joined! Many of the pieces I use come from a mix of places like local stores, online retailers, and even thrift shops. Thank you for your honest feedback! I really appreciate your perspective, and I’m sorry the background music didn’t resonate with you. Question. How do we do this without it looking like Christmas. I love Christmas and I think this looks too Christmasy for after. Suggestions?

@ I think I will just use the cream and beige with some pine stems. But that is about all oh and my candles
@@dianelambert8281 sounds nice!

Would love links to some of the decor
This appears to be mostly AI, a compilation from various sources, so not likely there will be links.
It’s all AI, from the images to the voice.
Where do you find those skinny benches, I so want one?

Your home is beautiful but to much black and white incorporate a few other colors but a beautiful home 😊
I always have a problem as to where to put the couch pillows when company comes & need seating.

I shop mostly on line since Covid. So many stores have closed or been eliminated. I’d love to know where to find the heavy textured throws an pillows.

Nice, but not post christmas!
The decor is beautiful but the background music reminds me of funerals and the end of year memorial…depressing.😢
I actually think the music is a nice touch.
You have the option to mute the music instead of being rude.
😂
There is nothing wrong with the background music 🎶...At the contrary, It's beautiful and relaxing☺️🎶💕
Thank you for your honest feedback! I really appreciate your perspective, and I’m sorry the background music didn’t resonate with you. I’ll definitely keep that in mind for future videos and try to select music that feels more uplifting and in line with the cozy, joyful atmosphere. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts! 🌲❄️
