I clearly remembered the first time I encountered and watched a Becoming Filipino video. It was raining and I was in a computer shop, I had no phone that time and I spent almost an hour watching like its like I am travelling in places sa bansa natin 🇵🇭❤

On another note, so glad to see the good vibes and positivity spread up and down the coast from the Beach Compound to the bar in Baganga and hopefully beyond. Power on!
the beauty about rain it gives you more waterfalls and you dont have to worry inwatering your plant. that is why Filipino call it a blessing from above. When i was kid we love it because we got to have the time to play in the rain.
U have to put up cctvs all over the place to monitor ur house. And try making concrete tiny houses instead since Kubos or nipa hut are highly inflammable, just a piece of match or anything that creates a lil fire/heat.

You can probably paint your timber/wood house with fire retardant paint it helps not to spread the fire easily specially in the summer temperature can become extreme.

I live in Carmen Davao before, and I always passby the Cateel but did not know you can fish on side of the beach, wow i have too many fishing polls and sets of fishing equipment. I am from Illinois UsA and I brought one of my fishing set when we came to visit Cebu to fish on the pier. and giifted my set to my cousins.
What caused the fire? I spent some time in Baganga back in 2016. A great place indeed. I rented a small wooden house at the beach there, and used to go to the hot springs. I even went a couple of times to Cateel. A wonderful area with so many nice beaches.
Good morning Kyle, "KULAS", I'm so saddened by what happened to Mama Rose's A-frame nipa but it's a sad lost of investment that turn into ashes. My suggestion to everyone and all Kulas subscribers is to invest in fire extinguishers with the ABC classification. This a must invest in our valuable assets our house, I understand that each one of us builds our house for many years of planning and savings, and in an accident, as that fire occurs we have a fundamental weapon to extinguish a fire before flame consumes our valuables and turn it all into ashes. It is very heartbreaking that things like that happened uncontrollably. Invest in a fire extinguisher 2 or 3 of them.

On the other hand it's almost summer the kids in Baganga enjoy a lot. When we see children playing it reminds us and give us good vibes that grateful we are because we still live even on lonely moments in our life.

I wonder if a rat or a mouse gnawing on the wires was the reason for the fire, where a stray spark caused an ignition? On another note, I dare say that ginataang gulay and fried fish make a really good sud-an combo. Can't go wrong with that combo haha.

I notice the river near the shores are clean no plastic and other trash.... really very nice place, they must have good solid waste management

Sounds like it was a candle due to brownout. Ginataang gulay is THE BESTTTT
