- Hi friends!
I know that a lot of people who wanted to tour ASU are now unable to, so I wanted to share this video to hopefully help some people out! If you have any other questions about ASU, I'd be happy to answer in the comments!!
-Macey
My first tour of asu got cancelled bc of corona, so I had to commit to asu without ever seeing it:( and I live 2,000 miles away... thank you for this!!
Aww yay I'm glad it helped! I'm so sorry that your tour got cancelled :( ASU is an amazing school and I think you'll love it!!
I live about 1 mile away from the stadium and I promise it’s really cool
I just graduated this year. Couldnt attend graduation because of corona :(
@@MiaCarter7 Oh no! Congratulations on graduating though!!! :)

Very helpful video. Thank you for going straight to the point
Thank you so much for this video! Being a potential international student here, this video helped calm my nerves. Thanks!
Thanks for making this video! I never even got to think about taking a tour cause of the virus x.x I'll be starting Fall 2021 though! Decided to take a gap year cause why not haha
Thank you this video is awesome and informative, I'm applying to ASU now
love this!! super easy to understand 💖
This video is a little more helpful than the webinars and information posts ASU has put out. You came in clutch with this video! Respect.
Yay I'm happy it helped! :)
Love. Love. Love. Yes Macey, I love your videos!
Thanks girl!!! This made my day!
Great Video. My son just finished his second year and you may have pushed me over the edge to send him the third year. I prefer he go in-state (tuition is free).
Thanks for the video! I'm considering doing ASU online for my Masters in Criminal Justice. I've heard a lot of great things about the online program through ASU.

Thank you so much Macey! After watching your video I'm determined to apply to the Barrett college.
I'm admitted to barrett with a 15.5k scholarship. It's really nice to have my first admission letter.
@@dahaiyu6674 that is awesome! Congrats!
I was supposed to join ASU this fall but due to the current situation.. I will be joining in Spring.
After seeing your video, It will be more difficult to wait for another 6 months! :D
Hi shruti here, did you go to ASU for masters? Or undergraduate....
Asu is a really great school especially for technology and business. Lots of great jobs in the area and great entertainment
Yessss
What is the best business degree there?
I am waiting for the lockdown to end so I can get my VISA. I hope that I am able to join this Fall!
SO cute! love this💕
Nice 👍! Will forward your video to our son who was just admitted to Barrett! Thank you!
Please share your first day/week/month experience difficulties you faced how you overcame etc..
Just applied as a transfer student! Hope I get in!! 🔱
Best wishes to you in your college journey.
goin to asu this fall thanks for the info!
Thank you for this I got accepted and got scholarship I really hope I get to tour In person as an out of state student
You are the Cutest! Thanks for the info for my son that is attending Mesa Campus in August.
ASU!!!! I am coming to you in the next fall this year
Hi! I’m Lana and I really want to go to Arizona State University 2022! This was super helpful thank you!!
This video was very helpful !! It answered most of my questions. I’ll be joining ASU as a transfer student in the fall. Do you have any suggestions for housing? Would you recommend dorms or getting an apartment close by? I’m gonna be joining as a Junior.
There aren't many dorm options for juniors, so I would recommend getting an apartment close by! If you do want to look at on-campus options, I would give ASU Housing a call :)
Thank you this was very helpful, however does anyone have any reviews of the Phoenix campus? I was planning on becoming a nursing major and would like to understand how the community and commute from Tempe is and if it effects studies?
Great job on the video and all of your responses! I’m an academic advisor. You should consider becoming a peer mentor you would be great.
Thank you! I really appreciate it :)
I am goinh to ASU is fall 🎉!!!!!! Hope it will be a super experience!!
ASU seems to be a good University. Im always happy when people better their lives which makes our communities better.
Hi! Thinking of applying to ASU (specifically Barrett) in the fall. Due to COVID, however, it's likely that I won't get the chance to see the campus in person. I was wondering what your ACT/SAT and GPA were to be accepted into Barrett and essentially how competitive it is to be accepted into the Honors College.
Hi! There’s no minimum ACT, SAT, or GPA to get accepted into Barrett. The competitiveness varies from year to year, but it gets more competitive as each deadline passes, so it’s best to apply by the first deadline!
Your video helped me a lot to get to know more about ASU! I know that lots of people from Arizona are really nice but are people in ASU nice as well?
I'm happy it helped!! People at ASU are very nice :)
Macey Sierka YASSS I knew it! Thank you so much ;) ✨
I'll be there this Fall studying electrical Engineering. I got accepted to Barret but I don't know if I could juggle my regular courseload with the extra requirements of Barrett...
Congrats on being accepted!!! I would go for it! On average you usually only have to take two honors credits a semester, so it isn't too bad! Maybe talk to a Barrett advisor and see what your schedule would look like :)
I’ve been in Barrett for 2 years now. If you can afford it I’d say it’s worth it purely for the better dorm life. In Barrett you’ll meet people from a bunch of different majors, where as in the engineering dorms most people are pretty similar. (As a CS major I can tell you Barrett is worth it just so your college experience isn’t a sausage party lol). Barrett isn’t really that hard and I’m way ahead on my honors credits. That being said I’ll likely be dropping Barrett for my last 2 years purely for financial reasons, cause Barrett is expensive af. ($1000 per semester + cost of random books for human event). Plus the benefits of Barrett drop off hard after sophomore year. In short I’d say do it but don’t feel like you need to stick with Barrett if you don’t have the dough.
informative :) Thanks a lot
I’m looking forward to go to ASU cuz i just search that it is a nursing and health college so i must study hard
Are laboratory science, social science and such are prerequisites to get into ASU for all applicants?
I'm still in high school but Arizona state university is my dream high school 🥺
same even though im a freshman in highschool
@@grecia83 i have always looked into Arizona state since i was a freshman and i am now a junior
What types of things can u do on the weekend if u don’t party?
Coming to ASU for MS in computers in fall 2021.
I wanted to go to ASU but ended up going to Utah state, how’s Asu like?
What is done to foster the community at Barrett? Are there living and learning communities or clubs just with in Barrett? What ones? Thank you for your helpful video!
There are always a ton of community events in Barrett! And here's a link to some Barrett student organizations! barretthonors.asu.edu/student-life/involvement/student-organizations#quicktabs-campus_tabs_student_orgs=2
so if i want chick fil a i would have to use my M&G swipes?
I'm going to be freshmen next year in high school and I'm over here bored and have nothing to do and I'm looking at where should I go when I'm done with high school 🤣
saaaaame tfse
Is the Tempe campus easy to get to from the downtown campus? ASU is my dream school, I would attend the downtown campus because of my major and was wondering if they are connected or close! I have a college visit scheduled for September, just hoping it will not get canceled!!! Love your videos
The Downtown campus is about a 15-20 minute drive from the Tempe campus! There is also a free intercampus shuttle that will take you from the Downtown campus to Tempe campus, and that takes about 30 minutes. I hope that you'll still be able to visit ASU!! :)
@@maceysierka thank u your amazing!!
Hey ! I’m at the downtown campus looking for friends add my insta @perla_hernandez26
Light Rail also connects the two campuses.
What is the meaning of "M&G" in meal plan?
Im now a junior in high school and it is my DREAM to go to ASU! Do you have any tips for me pls??
Hi!! ASU has a high acceptance rate so I don't have too many tips about getting admitted, but definitely still work hard to have a high GPA/ACT/SAT score because those determine the amount of scholarship money you would get! Here is a link to a scholarship estimator: scholarships.asu.edu/estimator. Once you decide on ASU, one tip I have is to choose your dorm/roommate(s) as early as possible and be sure to take a tour of ASU if you can!!
Why???lmfaoooo anyone with a pulse can go there its just a bunch of rich UGLY did i mention everyone there is unnatractive! With parents money that goes there this is just a college you go to to say you dont go to community which is pathetic 🤣🤣
christina brown who hurt u
@@qjohunterop2443 right 🤣
@@VanessaGarcia-kg4wo some one didn’t get accepted to asu
Can I tryout for the basketball team?
I got accepted at ASU for computer science
Is it required to live in the honors dorms if you choose to be apart of the honors program? Do you know exactly how much it costs to have your car on campus freshman year?
It is required to live on campus for the first two years at ASU if you are in Barrett. Honors students usually live in the dorms freshman year and then the Vista del Sol apartments sophomore year! The cost of having your car on campus varies depending on the parking lot that you get a permit for. I couldn't find any updated information on what the prices will be for the upcoming year, but in the past they've been from $210-$780!
Finally someone who's going to Barrett ♡♡♡♡
Is bsc finance a good program at ASU?
Does ASU have some kind of need-based aid? And does it have dorms? As an international student these are super important to me! :)
Alsoooo, is it possible to work on campus as an international student?
Yes! ASU has need-based aid and dorms! I don't know too much about the international student experience at ASU, but I'm pretty sure you can work on campus!
WoW that's nice!👌 Is ASU good for international students too? could you please tell about international students at ASU?😊
I don't know too much about the international student experience at ASU, but all of the international students I've met seem to love it!
I have no idea if you’ll even seen this but I’m an incoming freshman but I already know that next year I’ll want to be a tour guide so how would I go about getting there
Applications are usually open in the spring! The tour guides are part of an organization called Devils' Advocates and the Barrett tour guides are called Honors Devils!
Advos is so exclusive so it’s kinda hard to get in especially if you don’t have the “outgoing” personality they are looking for
I was supposed to tour the dorms at some point after spring break, but didn’t get the chance. Are they a decent size, and do you happen to know if the Herberger Institute dorms are different?
The dorms at ASU are generally a decent size and very nice! Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the Herberger dorms, but I do know they are a different set up than the Barrett dorms that I stayed in!
Macey Sierka ok thanks for the response!
Hi I have a question about the meal plan cards do you have to swipe before you enter? What do you mean you come in and out for a hour?
Yes, you swipe before you enter! After you swipe your card, you get a receipt that allows you to come in and out of the dining hall to get as much food as you want for an hour!
@@maceysierka oh that makes sense
Hey, I heard that you have to pay some sort of fee every semester if you're a barrett student. How much do you have to pay and what is it for?
There's a $1,000 fee for Barrett students each semester! It goes towards extra services and scholarships that Barrett provides! Here is a link to more info about it: barretthonors.asu.edu/admissions/costs-and-financial-assistance :)
@@maceysierka Thank you so much! :D
$1000 per semester now but don’t be surprised if they raise it out of the blue. Was $750 like a year and a half ago.
What is ASU’s top 3 degrees?
What exactly is the Barrett honors program? How is it different from not being in the program? Is it still possible to apply do you know?
It's basically a more selective college within ASU where you have to meet certain honors requirements! Here's a link to more info: barretthonors.asu.edu/about/history-of-barrett and the application deadline has passed for Fall 2020!
If I can handle honors and ap schedules as a junior, how much harder would the work be if I applied for Barrett?
I think you will be fine! :) It's not necessarily more work you just typically have to take two honors courses a semester that are a little more challenging!
Barrett is a piece of cake if you can get in. But it also depends on your major and honors contracts. Some classes have hard honors contracts and other have easy honors contracts
I am thinking about attending ASU but my major is at the tempe campus and minor at the west phoenix campus, will that be an issue?
I'm not sure! I'm assuming you'd take most of your credits at the Tempe campus and then just have to commute to the West campus for your minor classes, but I would ask an academic advisor at ASU just to know for sure!
AND ASU does provide free bus rides to all the campuses with a schedule that you can see with your account so you can commute on the bus. I take tempe to polytechnic all the time.
It is a LONG ride in the shuttle bus from Tempe to West. Might take a whole hour, but I believe they have ASU wifi on the buses so if you do not get seasick you could work in the way.
Hi, if I can’t get into Barrett as a freshman, can I join as a sophomore if my freshman year college GPA is high enough? If so, what GPA would that be?
Yes! There's no minimum GPA!
Hello! Thanks for this great video! I have a question, at 10:12 when u said devil to devil what does that mean? And how to find our roomate through facebook? How do they find us out of all the facebook users?😭 I dont get how this works, can i have an explanation?🥺

Is there a good amount of oos students or are they mostly in state im thinking of ASU but I’m all the way on the East Coast
A lot of students are out of state!
I’ve never been to Arizona . How’s ASU in general like as a school? One my friends goes here!! I don’t know why are people being so mean to my friend. I feel really lost if you could help me out would be great!
I’m a junior equivalent from the UK and want to study abroad at ASU. Do u have any friends who have come from the UK or any advice?
Hi! I unfortunately don't have any friends from the UK that go to ASU, but I would recommend reaching out to an academic advisor to get advice/information about coming to ASU!
Just 310 subs oh my gosh you need atleast 700k or 1mil
Awww that is so kind thank you 💛
ASU is quite nice! I have a question, please. Do you know someone studies Architectural Science?
I don't :(
I'm an incoming freshman and majoring in Supply Chain too. Can you talk more about the major ?
I just switched to Supply Chain so I haven't taken any classes in it yet! I can say that ASU has one of the highest ranked Supply Chain programs in the country! Here is a link to more info about it: wpcarey.asu.edu/undergraduate-degrees/supply-chain-management

I got accepted into Arizona State University and I came across this video. Can I still apply to Barret Honors college after giving admission to ASU?
Congrats! Yes, you apply to Barrett after you apply to ASU. The first deadline for Barrett is November 1st :)
@@maceysierka thanks
I’m from Jersey interested in ASU, is the heat like unbearable there? Also what is Tempe like, is it a city or a rural area?
The heat is pretty bad in august and July but besides those two months it’s pretty nice and Tempe is a city area and not rural at all. ASU Party’s are dope and Tempe’s really diverse
Hi!! Once the school year starts, the heat is only bad in August/September! Tempe isn't a huge city, but it isn't a rural area, either. There's a ton to do in/around Tempe!
Is it mandatory for freshman Students to live on campus or freshman have a option whether to live on or off campus?
Yes! Some freshmen can get an exception
Asu is a huge party school
what is the best dorm besides the Barrett dorms?
Hassy or Tooker but you don’t get to choose
if im going to asu with my friend can we say we want to dorm together?
Yes! You can choose your roommates :)
What is your favorite honors class and why?
Probably The Human Event because the in-class discussions were super interesting!
@@maceysierka I've heard that class has a lot of reading and writing in general. Would you agree? Are there timed writes and do you enjoy them? How are you fulfilling your honors requirements?
@@kathyle4573 It does have a lot of reading and writing! Some professors have more essays/longer readings, so it kind of depends, as well. There aren't timed writes! I've fulfilled my honors requirements mainly through honors sections, but there are a ton of ways that you can get those credits! Hope this helps! :)
Where would be a Computer Science be(Barrett’s Honors Student?)Which campus
I believe Computer Science majors are on the Tempe campus!
@@maceysierka Yes. I had a fellow CS student who was in the Barret's System (she was also and international student). All CS classes are in Tempe, however, they are often at Brickyard which is the completely opposite end of the campus so about a two mile walk!
How far apart are the different campuses
Tempe is about 30 minutes from West and Polytechnic, and 15 minutes from Downtown! Poly and West are the farthest apart, and it's about an hour drive. :)
Which campus is the business school/major on?
Most of the business majors are on the Tempe campus, but some are on other campuses, as well!
Not sure if you’re still answering questions, but is the school really diverse ?
I definitely feel like it's very diverse! I've met people from all over the country/world at ASU :)
I'm from Kenya...um is there a possibility for me to be accepted in ASU???
I think so! I would check with the admissions office though!

You're going to love it-- don't worry! The people at ASU are awesome and you'll have tons of support. :)
Which campus are you at?
Tempe!
Can people who don't go to ASU live in the apartments?
People who don't go to ASU can live in a lot of the apartments around campus, but not in any that are affiliated with ASU! There are a ton of complexes that are not owned by ASU really close to campus :)
I live in Michigan and I’m trying so hard to talk my parents into letting me go here😩
If you do end up going, the weather change is going to hit you like a bus good luck!!
@@juliamitton351 I love the warmth, part of why I want to attend haha
How much can a freshman earn per hour doing part time job on campus?
It depends on the job! Most students make $11.50-$14 an hour
do you get paid to do the tours?
Nope! All of the tour guides at ASU are volunteers!
Why have you stop making videos?
do freshmen have to live on campus?:)
it's not a requirement but highly recommended!
Ughh I want to go here but I don’t know if I can be that good of an athlete, I mean it’s a D3 college
Arizona State University, from what I can find, is actually a D1 school which is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics.
Is ASU a hard school to get into?
No! ASU has a pretty high acceptance rate, but Barrett and certain majors have lower rates.
Hell no Lmaoooo i had a 3.1 gpa and got in
If you have pulse you’ll get accepted
