Just wanted to thank you for the plug on our kids at Keys Vacation Supply Rentals. We (mom and dad) live in Indiana and proud of how hard our son and his wife work to make peoples vacations memorable. Thanks again.
That's pretty much our motto Gene. There are plenty of things we've done that we never would have thought we'd do a few years back! That said, snuba-ing isn't for everyone, but it really can be incredibly safe and simple if you stick to the shallow waters (like those in the second spot we dove at).
We've used the boat from Ft. Myers to Key West, but I really would love to take the drive. Always great pointers and locations to stop and visit. And the underwater photography is awesome!
We have yet to do the Ferry from Ft Myers, but we're definitely going to give it a try one of these days! We're really glad you enjoyed this episode and always appreciate the support!
For a decades long Florida resident I’m almost embarrassed to admit I’ve only snorkeled a few times and tried scuba twice in a backyard pool. I am much more on the Jamie scale of underwater anxiety. But this looks like the perfect thing to try. This series sure has me missing the keys but brought back a ton of great memories from dozens of trips there.
Great video. We are going in 3 weeks so I took notes. Two questions 1. What was your favorite flavor of Mead? 2. Is there a downtown area that is walkable with shops and restaurants?
Mrs. Mac Kitchen was where we would stop for lunch back in 2008, 2009, .... All the Monroe County Sheriff Deputies would go there for lunch, that is how I new the food was good, and the prices were also! Mrs. Mac never let us down when we drove A1A to Key West!
@Explorcation the owner (John I think it is) was in the Navy and last I knew was diving for them himself. I really had to jump out of my comfort zone to try it but its one of my favorite things I've ever had.
I'm more if a whipcream on Keylime vs marange(sp?)but don't knock the chocolate....Kermit's in KeyWest has a great chocolate covered Keylime "fudgesical" type of dessert that's great!
I'm the same. normally go for the whipped cream, but the meringue is pretty too. While I don't love chocolate, I do enjoy it on certain things... but never on Key Lime pie! Jamie would definitely like the fudgesicle thing.
Wow, you guys are doing the full tourist video this round! Problem is if you fly into Miami, or FT Lauderdale, and rent a car to the keys, you would overpack your luggage on the plane home! And I will tell you all, that UPS or FEDX or USPS, is not cheap to send things home that you buy in the Keys!

That chipped beef looked exquisite! Not sure why, but I've noticed a lot of breakfast joints in the Keys serve chipped beef.

@Explorcation I think we're at the " a bit quieter is better " stage but yeah it did look a bit on the quiet side of things for what one would like.
