- Sharing my l'oreal Paris hyaluronic acid serum review. Did it work well on my dry, sensitive & acne-prone skin? If a hyaluronic acid serum is a good one, it adds glow to the skin, makes skin soft, also brightens the skin a little. Remember dehydrated skin can look dull. So, to get plump and beautiful skin, hydration is the first step.
Sharing my more than 2 weeks' experience with loreal Paris hyaluronic acid serum, how to use and also, I have compared it to minimalist hyaluronic acid serum and deconstruct skincare hydrating serum. then later I ranked the loreal serum with my favourite hydrating products from rovectin and hada labo.
Along with l'oreal paris hyaluronic acid serum I have also used other hyaluronic acid serums and hyaluronic acid toners and you can know more about them in these videos.

please clarify my doubt... how the hyaluronic acid serum is different than the other serum which contains both actives and ha (ie minimalist alpha arbutin and niacinamide serum...cosrx snail mucin) what is the % of ha in these products and what difference does it make to your skin .
i also remember ..In one of the James welsh video...HA in many skin care product like cleanser ,toner ,serum caused too much drying on his skin.
I want to know your thoughts about it....
Very interesting question.
The first difference between the HA based serum & when HA is used in other serum is that - in HA serums, 1 or 2 types of HA is used in good concentration (loreal has 1.5% ) or they make even use different sizes of HA in small conc. (It varies from brand to brand) and sole purpose of such HA serum or toners is improve skin hydration and boost performance of other products. This is beneficial for people who do not want to use snail mucin or Arbutin.

Secondly, such HA conc products are useful for people whose main concern is dehydration. This is why I always suggest rovectin lotion for dehydrated skin or any other good product thats rich in HA. (You should check out the rankings shared in this video😊)
as using snail mucin or niacinamide or Arbutin is not going to help in treating dehydrated skin. This is not the key function of these serums. So if anyone is buying snail mucin or Arbutin or Niacinamide and complains that these products are not hydrating their skin, then its not the fault of the product but the mistake of the buyer!

HA is very commonly used in many types of product, to make them less drying and have some hydrating property. The conc of such HAs are usually lower than 1 or 0.5% and brands usually do not disclose the concentration this case.

When it comes to James, From what I remember he said in one of his video that his skin cannot tolerate too many products with HA or single concentration serums or Toners. Of course this can vary from product to product, as some product have high conc of HA and some have lower conc.
Not many people are sensitive to HA, but every skin type is unique.

It’s literally like when you are purchasing a snail product, the snail mucin conc is high in it. When you get a propolis serum, propolis is the main ingredient of it.
Also these ingredients (snail mucin or propolis) can be used in base formulation in lower concentration for some added benefit!

Actually it made my skin more dry.. without this skin becomes very dry.. i just apply moisturizer now and i think its enough for me

Hey i do have one doubt, since it's one of the rules that we use a lowerr pH acids first, why not vit C first and then the hyaluronic acid?

SHELLEY, is the ROVECTIN facewash as good as cosrx low ph one? Rate the both please on a scale
Hi.. both are good cleanser and are best for two very different thing. Like for acne = cosrx is best. for damaged and dehydrated skin = rovectin. Will make a new video on cleanser ranking.. thanks for the idea :)
