hello I am a French doctor (radiologist) and passionate about guitar almost like you, I wonder where you find the time to accumulate to have such a level. just one question, how do you justify using Eb dorian on the F7? thank you very much and congratulations for your performance
Thank you my friend! I started playing guitar at 13 years of age and played professionally for 3 years prior to going back to University. Therefore, much of my technique and basic theory was developed back prior to medical school. As for F7, the reason I suggested Eb dorian is because first and foremost it sounded right :) However, it can be justified theoretically because Eb dorian differs only by one note from Bb harmonic minor (Eb dorian has an Ab otherwise they’re the same). Bb harmonic minor over F7 is common in jazz and would be referred to as a phrygian dominant (the 5th mode of harmonic minor).

Thank you my friend 🙏🏻
Nice lesson! Tough tune to solo over
Yes but fun when you get it! Take it very slow at first and break the song into sections when you practice. That’s the key 🔑
