I'm from Toronto, but I so very much, enjoy the love among these families from the deep south. Down to earth people as good as it gets. Peace and Love to you all.
James Doyle And yiu don't have to be from the Deep South to do things like this. It's all about making the best of your environment, and keeping family close.
I wish people stop bashing Southern people. I am black and I am proud of my Southern heritage. I understand where I come from. I love the Cajun/Louisiana culture & think it's a very unique culture. There are blacks that share the Cajun culture. Not all people in the South are racists. People need to look outside of the box and do some research instead of watching TV. Don't judge a group of people just because there are a few bad apples in the bunch.
We are Acadian Metis We had the same struggles and over coming them is apart of us and the culture They food might be alittle diffrent But it is got that french flare with twist I cant count the times we feed a family of ten with whats around us .. Moose Clams Fish Blueberries garden grown veggies And trade say 60 lbs of moose for 30lbs of pork and eggs But you dont keep 30lbs of pork You give 10 lbs to the family next door .. They bring you over a blueberrie pie You share the pie with another person Everyone in my small town is like that Does not matter of skin or poltics I would rather this than any other place
I know this is a little provocative, but I'm pretty sure the only Southerners people like to insult are the Southern white people. The reason why they don't insult Southern black people is because it's racist if they do so.
This is why I love hard working, farm raised, and family people. We don’t care about material things. As long as we have the people we love, food, and something over our head; we’re completely happy. Love it.
I was blessed to live in Algiers in 1968 & 1969 as a little kid, and loved it! At 6, 7, and 8 EVERYTHING is really cool anyway, but to spend it in Algiers LA was a real gift! LOL
Denis Guerrero actually yes this is healthier than anything buying in a store and definitely fast food. Its all 100% fresh caught and shot. Fresh as it gets. Id love to live down south or on the swamp like all these guys. And also im a city boy too from Minnesota so. But i love hunting and fishing so I've had fresh as it gets too.
I'm French-Canadian and Acadian - it's great to see our Louisiana cadien/cajun cousins doing well. I like how even the Louisiana English accent has elements of a French accent.
Another French-Canadian here and have the utmost respect for these Louisiana "cousins". They work hard and share with their neighbors. I'm envious of their happiness.
I'll be honest, part of me wants to live like them, eat what I catch and relax with my family, instead of fast food and not even knowing my neighbor's names.
TimboSlice every night is a home cooked meal. I’m just 25. Learned how to cook young was raised like this. Much better than fast food this sticks to your ribs
I wish I grew up down south like this. They are so happy and alot of them dont have much. But all the food they all cook looks so good. Who cares about the newest iPhone this is what it's all about. I wish my life was more like these people. I hope I can raise my kids and teach them about deer hunting and enjoy being around family more than my life is right now. And I'm from Minnesota
it is but i modify it heavily there is a restaurant called Krimsey's Cajun Kitchen that is how i do cajun food. (i like how resourceful it is and the fact that i can adapt it easily to a vegan kitchen i even once had a really good jambalaya at a vegan potluck)
I'm an Australian who went to Louisana and felt that Southern hospitality! ... everyone is nice and the food is amazing!.... i love fried alligator, I tried raging reddish with crayfish sauce and oh my gosh! ..
Louisiana people are great people. They are friendly and hospitable and they love to have a good time. I have spent some good times with people from Louisiana.
Big Dave c'mon down cher, we love to share our culture and we love to feed people. I promise you won't be disappointed and you'll leave with a full belly and a full heart:)
When I went on a holiday to America, New Orleans was my fav place out of all the states I visited! The people were a lot more nicer and legit than those in NY and LA
Growing up Cambodian this is what my parents had to hunt for when they escaped the camp. They hunted for everything and anything. I wish everyone was more opened to different foods and meats like this. Food really does bring the family together 💕
What most people don't understand is that having expensive things will never make you happy. Just look at how happy these people are, and all they need is family, and their environment. Technology is great, but we need to remember that nature is the only reason we made it this far in the first place.
@@Necronaut yeah same. I don't understand people who say it will never make you happy. Well it of course depends on the person. As long as their needs are fulfilled being happy or not depends on the person, and money definitely does help one to fulfill their needs and more... get some source of entertainment etc luxury items that can make them happy. My dad was born in Mobile Alabama and worked as a US Merchant Mariene until his death. He brought us up in Long Island New York to be close to the New York City Union Halls for work. We eat jumbolia, oysters -remember old man Gallot?, catfish, crab, shrimp, lobscow and gritz. We are very proud of our connection with the deep south. I lived in Boloxi Mississippi for a while and my grand parents have a plot for my burial in Boloxi so I have always know where I will end up. I may move to the swamp.
