You don't have to buy new: Boat or rv. I find someone that has a cherry boat, motorcycle etc. My boat with 200 hours on it ten years old for $8,000. My motorcycle only 8,000 ,miles I bought for $8,500. I made six figure income. Because I buy this way with inflation I have no depreciation. I own these things and if I take care of it. I can sell it for what I paid for it. I also wrote a check. No financing. Don't buy new.

Maybe we were once a world superpower but no longer. The caliber of the worker is much lower than before. I'm talking a per capita statistical model. Of course this doesn't include everyone. People will laugh, be my guest but when using the restroom, if you can even find one without having to buy something are usually or more likely to be unsanitary or filthy dirty. It wasn't so much like that when I was growing up. Plus the customers are more likely to have no morals and leave the place a mess for others not to cleanup either.

JB, here is the problem. 18 months ago I decided I wanted a new truck. I went to the auto dealer, looked around, found what I wanted. They said it was $55K. I said ok, Ill be back. 18 months later I now have saved the $55K for that truck and am ready to get it. Do you see now? This is the problem with Burger King America. They want it now and they want it their way. Not willing to do without for a time. Willing to pay $85k for a $55k vehicle for 72 months. This is the problem......lack of discipline.

But totally not what I was 20 years ago.
My husband is disabled so I go most places by myself.
But I am always totally aware of my surroundings.
Don’t go out at night or into areas where there is trouble.
I quit carrying a purse so I would not be a target, but do carry a small crossbody sling just for essentials.

At my age (89) I rely on Jesus for my safety
$25 PER HOUR Would require one to work 16 hours per day to gross $400 per day which just leaves you with 8 hours left over to sleep etc.. how can one do this unless they are young committed and aggressive and have no family .
The biggest issue is how much they take out of your check. Why work for the government.

So true JB I buy and sell motorcycles and have seen a lot of inventory lately and at bargain prices that I have never seen before. Motorcycles a few years old are selling for less than half the price they paid with almost zero miles on them. It's a buyer's market and will only get worse, or better if you are looking for a motorcycle. Definitely and eye opener.
