dude... obviously he does some effort in reminding all his arpeggios in each song.. just try to watch his guitar clinic.. he will refuse to play specific song to play.. he will only play songs in his list.. but i really like his attitude.. he is very humble, yet so technically beast and the note he play is so good..

They may be more technically sound and accomplished but they don't have the fortitude and charisma to hold 70,000 people captivated while soloing like Eddie Van Halen.

To the review that said there is no melody.... you can't find melody because you obviously dont understand music beyond a 1st grade level... do yourself a favor and educate your self with some type of music beyond traditional mainstream music before sounding so ignorant .. this guy andy just killed it he made epic melodic sequences beyond what bach and mozart ..
Imagine this track as a movie: startin pretty shiny, smthg bad happening on starting 0:35, cruel battle is on in the middle, some unreal movement and unique features are applied. The second part is like telling why this all happened and why good must win bad. Real emotion like i watched a full time movie. Andy're a director. Not all will understand and feel. Cheers
I think this guy's technique is flawless. But still to this day I absolutely love the musicality of Satriani against all other players. What really matters to people is tunes and simple beautiful melodies cannot be beaten. I'm sure there is a market for what Andy does with so many young guitarists chomping at the bit but his thing suits being in a band with songs I think. Still knocks my socks off big time!
not when he plays fast runs, especially alternate picking, its mainly his pinky thats leaving the fretboard so much but i guess thats to be expected since he doesn't use it nearly as much as his other fingers. i have to say his technique has improved a ton over the years and his fingers have begun to stay close which (as unbelievable as it seems) has made him noticeably faster and more consistent.

Yngwie Malmsteen + Tony MacAlpine = Andy James bringing their type of music to a higher level.. IMO Andy James is better than Petrucci, Gilbert and MacAlpine together.
