The entourage treated this like a fashion show. One even said "we want to see her try on LOTS of dresses." Agreed - she should have left at least six of these people at home.

Whether it's buying a dress or a car or a house or even choosing a restaurant to eat at - sometimes friends and relatives might be jealous and not want what is best for the bride and will sabotage everything. Choose what you want.

I can totally empathize and relate to what this poor girl was going through!! I got married in September brought my Mom my sister sister-in-law and niece (she's 9) and my daughter was on video chat bc I'm in Texas and she's in Philadelphia and everyone except for my mom was pulling a hundred dresses and wanting me to keep trying on trying on trying on and I got hot overwhelmed and confused that first day! I finally said that's enough I'm not trying on anything else!! I went to the next one I found a dress that I loved my mom and I both cried and I'm so happy that I listen to myself instead of everyone else because they were not only pushy but way too expensive also!!!
These ladies are treating this appointment like it’s fashion show dress up time. That first dress was lovely

What would possess anyone to bring eight people to the appointment? Absolutely insane.
I would have ditched the lot.....it was just me at first and then showed my mother and that was it. Very easy, simple and no frills. Great wedding too.
She may be a people pleaser and feel like she didn’t want to disappoint them by not bringing them.
To give 'em all a chance to be on TV. That's all.
That is the problem with taking such and entourage. They can provide an opinion but they have to realize that at the head of the day the bride's opinion is the most important

This episode aired some time ago. Thankfully, post-pandemic era, Kleinfeld's and many other bridal salons limit the amount of entourage members a bride can bring. 3 tops for Kleinfeld's. What a relief for the staff and brides!

I think the fact that she made her decision when she was completely alone shows how detrimental to the decision-making process a large entourage can be. I don’t understand why brides think they have to please EVERYONE in their bridal party in the first place-maybe two or three close friends/family members at the most.

The 1st dress was her dress. Each person in her entourage were picking dresses that they'd wear.
I am so glad she picked the first dress she said she loved. I thought the one her friends liked was over the top for a Florida coastal wedding, and it definitely didn't meet her comfort requirement.

And not just satin -- _that much_ satin, along with all the flowers and stuff. I thought the satin gown was just way too much for her soft-spoken personality. I think it was the bride's sister who mentioned how the skirt of the first dress reminded her of waves, which was perfect for a Lauderdale wedding. Nice observation, I think.

This only goes to prove my best advice: go dress shopping on your own, and please yourself. If you're going hiking, take a friend, don't go alone.

When the bride loved it and her mother loved it, they were done. Too bad it took hours to realize that, but I'm glad she chose that dress. It was perfect for her body, her personality and her venue.
Carli's mom seems like a wonderful person
She made the whole wedding dress shopping more complicated than it should be. There is no point inviting all the people to the shopping especially all those bridemaids. The more bridemaids the more they are going to make it about them. In my wedding dress shopping experience I researched before hand. I knew what I wanted went there with small group of family and tried the dresses on especially the one I knew was the one . It was the 1st dress I tried on. That was literally it!
How do we know that they ALL invited themselves because it was KLEINFELDS. Seriously, sometimes that is the way people ARE and if a person is really sweet they don't or can't force them all not to come because people get MAD and cause DRAMA. I was married during a time when most people were away at college, I was not there and was at my parents home, so Mom and I did everything together. I don't think I even had a bridal shower. It was after Christmas in January so people cheaper out on gifts. ( although I had not really been thinking about that.) My Mom had nine children and raised more grandchildren and she said, " I can't stand it when twenty people who know better all sign up on a card for a set of pillows or something like that, it is wrong and they can do better." MY EX mother in law went through our gifts that she was storing for us and GAVE AWAY the best things to our friends when they got married and left me with the cheap stuff. I couldn't believe it, well, I could, no one was good enough for her "boy". Hence ex.
I brought my mom, maid of honor, matron of honor, the best woman, the flower girl, my mother in law & her godmother, the honor attendant, the ring bearer, the bridesmaids (& junior bridesmaids), candle lighters, the officiant, the ushers & the venue owners 😂

Brides probably start out with asking one or two special people to go shopping for a dress and the rest invite themselves along and bride is too nice to say no.
Or they know the bride is being filmed and that they will also be on TV!

She looked perfect in the first dress. Everyone else was just jealous. Their pick took all of the attention away from her as a whole.
She was so happy in the first dress and those “friends” ruin everything for her. Maybe don’t have them at the wedding if they think they can dress her better than the consultants. Her mom is so sweet and supportive and knows what she looks good in.
The first dress was perfect. The "fancy schmancy" dress (could have done without the shoulder thing) was incredible - she looked like a model, she looked stunning. But the first dress was perfect.
She didn't even smile in the satin dress but was absolutely radiant in the first dress and her friends couldn't see that. Sad.

And why do the consultants always pretend that they don't know who the bride is? In Kleinfeld's main salon, not only is the bride always seated at the one side, but - surely - the production staff has already introduced the selling staff to the client/entourage and, most likely, they have had prior "takes."
The production team ask them to pretend. No one likes to be cringe on TV
She absolutely looked gorgeous in that first dress and she should have left most of her entourage behind.
The bigger the entourage, lower the self-esteem and need for external validation. Just know yourself and what suits you, take mom or a best friend or a sister or just someone honest, supportive if you need feedback but I feel its best to just go yourself and make a good decision.
In the end it should be what the bride wants and feels most comfortable in. I'm so glad she chose dress one and she looked absolutely beautiful in it.
It was just me and my parents and we picked the most beautiful dress for me and we had a fabulous Time together.
I would litterally say she looked beautiful in everything but let her know its her choice i just wanna see my friends happy and Healthy.❤

First dress was perfect on her. Perfect choice and glad that mom stand by her.
Julie, the Sales Director, was so right to give Carli permission to decide _not to_ decide, and to walk away for a while. Her intervention washed away tons of pressure. All poor, overwhelmed Carli needed was a few minutes of quiet alone with her thoughts and emotions. Suddenly, the decision was clear. It's nice Carli and her mother got to share the joyful "Yes!" moment together, without the in-laws exchanging glances and smirks in the background.
That first dress was the best
I totally understand how this girl wanted a fun but comfortable dress. When I got married that was my criteria, the dress had to be light and comfortable to wear. Her pick was right for her, the dress was amazing.
The first dress was pretty but the satin was a show stopper. However comfort is important.

I get it. The first dress I tried on was THE dress. I could have tried on a million dresses and it wouldn't have changed my mind. I only tried on three others, I just knew.

I tried on one dress. It was on a mannikin in the store window. It fit perfectly. The dress cost $40 because it
was on the mannikin. No alterations needed. No entourage to make me second guess my choice. I looked
good on my wedding, and didn't break the bank on a dress I wore once.

Her bridesmaids weren't there for her. They just wanted to see the bride wore the dresses they picked so they'll know if the dress they liked suit themselves.
Why is the Mother In Law’s friend there for gods sake
The way I see it, its the bride's wedding. Everyone else needs to shut their traps. They're not the ones getting married. They're not the ones who are going to wearing the dress. She is.
That is why she should have left them at home.
My BFF had a 12 person entourage (including me who was actually her MOH, so it was actually 13) and it was a disaster of epic proportions! When she did her vow renewal ten years later, there were 3 people there; me, her mom and one of her SIL's who was a big fashionista (and a bridal consultant herself)
Why the hell do brides have an entourage to "help" choose their dress? It's the bride's choice at the end of the day!

Don't bring so many!!!!!! It makes it harder on the bride in the end. Maybe a couple. Those girls are picking out THEIR dress, not hers!!!!!!
I’m always amazed that adult women will ignore what the bride wants and focus on their own preferences. They should be a support system. (But the bride and MOB should set guidelines BEFORE the appointment.) It is also disappointing to see people have no consideration for the sales staff.
I always wonder why people give a low point for the budget. If you say budget is 3 to 6 thousand and there is a dress for under 3 that you might love they won’t even pull that dress even if it fits all your wishes. Also while they don’t encourage large entourages there doesn’t seem to be a limit to how many people you can bring. It makes the appointment crazy. Maybe the produces just want all the drama for entertainment. I wish it wasn’t so over the top ridiculous sometimes.

Thank goodness the bride stood true to herself. Otherwise she might have been uncomfortable with the other heavy dress. She was smart to decide away from the others. If the bride + the mother are BOTH happy with a dress, what more could one ask for? 😉 ( I swear l have seen a matching wedding cake somewhere that looked like dress #2! 🤭 Very lovely, but that was the first thing that popped in my mind! ) ☺️✌️❤️🦋🙏
I'm glad she took the time at the end of the appointment to sit alone with the dress she liked the most. It's always confusing and stressful trying to please so many people, each with their own opinions.
This appointment gave me anxiety by proxy. I had 3 women with me, and they were all amazing at respecting my vision but giving me feedback. She needs to stop being a people pleaser. Good God.
The bride is beautiful and all the dresses were stunning on her. The satin dress was wonderful but it was not what she was looking for. She clearly said she didn’t like satin and wanted to feel comfortable. The in laws should have been more respectful of her wishes. Great that she was able to choose HER dress and best that she looked wonderful on it.
Great example of why you don't invite that many people to the appointment. Keep the opinions that matter the most - which is usually family. I would have my mom (in spirit), my sister, my MIL, and my MOH - and that's it. Maybe my other best friend, but cap it at 4 people. Anymore than that will invite chaos.
Carly looked darn stressed for what was supposed to be a fun time. Leave all but one or two at home!

This is a good lesson as to why it's not wise to bring so many young women with you on your appointment. Although they sincerely wanted to help her, because she didn't have a clear vision in mind, they ended up overwhelming and distracting her. So glad she was able to listen to her heart admist all that noise. She looked exquisite in her pick!

Talk about TOO MANY OPINIONS! Glad she followed her gut and got the dress SHE WANTED . In my opinion the most important person to go wedding dress shopping with you is your mother
Not surprising she was confused with such a huge entourage all bringing their opinions to the table, as well as dresses off the racks haha
