I’m a kpop fan and I don’t hate him but then again the only thing I know him for is WHEN I WAKE UP IN MA ROOM
I was hoping someone would make this comment!!!😂😂
And Rainism🤣🤣
Haha same
Omg same😂
don't forget the "i wanna be a bad boi i wanna be a bad bad boi" rainism
Rain is like "I want y'all to be famous... but not more than me" to all his groups 💀 Also joining CUBE, who had BEAST mind you -- who was MBLAQ's rival back in 2009 was craaaaazy
I love rain but honestly he only thinks about himself if you think otherwise you’re a fool
I have to agree eventho I like his music, he was born too early, Im a bit younger than him, so I was already listening before the Kpop golden era. He was expected to be the one who could make South Korean music more well known internationally, I remember watching his show about that, however the one who has successfully done that is BTS 😄
Never sign with a company that is run by another artist that is also active.
Noted 😂
Not always, JYP is also active but focuses on his artists before him. It's only that rain doesn't give priority to his groups more than his career .
@@hvcb270Not sure but I think JYP is not the one who run the company, he said in A2K that how do Gina feels when she trained in JYP cuz he don’t know how it works. Mean that he has become the artist under JYP, Idk im so confused on that ep.
@YenVlog he stepped down as the CEO in 2011 (maybe)
But he still an exclusive producer and the creator like Yg
@@hvcb270 yes but he was the one who started the company, so it's quite impressive
The problem with Rain is that HE still wants to be famous. He cannot sit in the background and let his artists shine. He NEEDS to also be the FACE and be putting music out there. He cannot simply focus on the group but he is still focusing on making himself famous out there.
He's no different from jyp
This is how the world knows only Jackie Chan, who has "NO successors" by design.
@@edm5378is jackie chan a k pop manager?😂
@@multifandomclub885 because Rain was under JYP , some "like father like son"-kinda way but seriously Rain at least is hot and has fans, while JYP just annoys the hell outta me and the world
Nothing wrong with that though but at least do not forget that you have artists under your bucket that needs attention. Then, I remember I had an argument with a fan of Rain saying we should not blame Rain since we don't really know what is happening behind the scenes. Well, the articles about MBLAQ and Ciipher and what I saw in Boys Planet through Keita Terazono do not lie.
This is exactly the same issue with the artists that Beyoncé is handling. As the other people said, never expect success when you are being managed by another artist.
Right?! Like Chloe and Halle deserved more, they have so much potential😢
At least not by an active artist & manager.
I also agree that's why I guess most of the new artists nowadays signs with companies which are not handled by any other artist but also many not so well known companies
Of course because you'll be in the shadows of that artist no matter what expectations and such are really great cause you're following an established artist.
yes that is most likely the scenario.
This video is perfectly timed! I was at Kcon LA 2023 and I was so confused when RAIN got no love. There was very little cheering and dancing. Most people actually sat for his set. It wasn’t till after Kcon I found out that he was black waved. I was a big fan of MBLAQ but I had no idea they were under RAIN. I always wondered what happened to MBLAQ and this explains everything well. I respect RAIN as being an OG in the Kpop community and that he inspired many idols but I can see why everyone is upset with him.
i was there too, and yeah i wonder why kcon even invited him and he accepted lol
@@lulu_0763 with the public anger atm he rlly set himself up accepting tht....
Same, I didn’t understand why ppl started hating RAIN and I loved Mblaq and have always wondered what happened to them as they just disappeared after dropping mirror 😭
Same,i started stanning k-pop since 3rd gen
So i didn't understand why they hate rain
I used to respect him but it went all down the drain after knowing the truth, well i mean i had a hunch all a long after ciipher debuted that history was gonna happen again especially with the way he would interact with ciipher, though i was overthinking things but .... Look were we are now
A good artist doesnt mean one can be good at management of other especially in idol group. I feel so bad for Mblaq and all the other groups
i think this more like, he's really good as a performer and coach, but not in business.
i don't understand why veteran kpop idols who wants to start their own companies think they're automatically legible to be CEOs. Just because an idol has been in the industry for a long period of time does NOT mean you can run a company. It's all BUSINESS and FINANCE. A more legible person should be someone who knows how the system of the industry works and how to handle money. I think it'd be more fitting if they start out as DIRECTORS first, given their actual previous experience in the industry they would only be focusing on the image and the debuting idols since that is the kind of expertise they would prob have
it's similar to hell kitchen , some guy has some money collected thru years of being an office worker or due to inheriting money -> sees that restaurants do well and they like food -> opens a restaurant .
I think they are seduced by JYP. The guy went from a backup dancer to a star to running one of the top entertainment companies - and he's now worth around $250 million.
@@jamesrawlins735Seduced LOL but i agree with you.
@@jamesrawlins735I agree, they thought everyone could do it. JYP did it but even he stepped down as a CEO at some point and quit handling JYPE artists to focus more on the music aspect of the business. Occasionally writing songs for the girl and boy groups of jype too. Unfortunately for him, being the face of the company, a lot of clueless people still blame him for mismanagement of JYPE artists when he isn't managing them for a long time now.
I remember H.O.T. Tony complaining about SM. He put up his own talent agency and became what he was complaining about. Difference is SM is successful...🤑
I've known the members very well since Ciipher debuted and besides, what Rain did was just irresponsible.. I missed that, okay so he said "I should have bought a house instead of debuting Ciipher?" This is so disrespectful to the members, Rain is wrong and he's being punished. The members had worked hard and went through difficult paths, they had dreams. But Rain turned them all upside down.
wow he said that? that just made me feel more gross towards him. What an airhead. He let the money get to his head. Gross
That’s awful😟
didn't he say he lost a house worth of investment because the interviewer pressed the question?
OMG he really said that? Gosh. This made me no longer a fan of Rain. If he said those words, why push through with the debut of Ciipher? Just imagine how the members would feel. 😢😢😢 MBLAQ's disbandment is also heartbreaking.
@@UltimateKpopmultistan lee sang min asked Rain how much he invested, Rain replied " the amount of money needed to buy a luxurious house" first see the clip first and then blame...and honestly do you even care about Ciipher or are you just a hater with nothing to do better in life
People should just realize that there are 100+ kpop group and only 1 or 2 of them are going to be internationally famous. Potential does not mean they are going to get a big break in the future.
Rain needs to decide..Is he a performer OR Is he a Producer/Agent!! Fans WANT NEW TELENT TO CHEER ON!!🙃
The same can be said for JYP & he's still producing music
People need to realise making a group is same as starting a business. Not everyone have guaranteed success. So I don’t really understand the hate train as so many groups especially in small companies failed in the past.
Yeah, but his “business” is kids with dreams, he just waste their effort and time. He already failed to focus and manage MBLAQ, even though they were popular and had potential. If he really want to make his “business” success, he should try his best to promote them, maybe use his connection to make them appear on variety shows or his friend’s show, but he still focus on his own career, and waste Ciipher member’s youth and potential, you know in korean entertainment age is a very crucial factor right? In kpop, 22/23 years old is too old to debut (i remember idols said it themselves). It would be hard for the members to re-debut as idols because of age, especially Tan (born in 1996).
Rain was such a fox when he was younger. My god was that man gorgeous!!!!
I've known this for ages that rain was hated by most fans in the music industry but I can't point out the reason. Now I know it all. Lol. I've seen his performance in his old songs before but there is no cheer at all or fans just dead silent on him.
I don't hate him his still a good guy (for many), yet not good as a ceo/manager. He can't manage his own company on his own, he lost his focus and put his ambitions firsts. Maybe this is not his path, i feel bad for mblaq because they are legends who lost they're shine. And there's madtown who has a bigger potential to dominate the scene but sadly they missed manage. And lastly ciipher, i'm so sad for the boys. Hope they never give up they're dreams.

i just watched Kwanghee’s youtube show & i was surprised by how good Lee Joon sound
@@leothechonkycat Lee Joon has an amazing voice, even though they joked in the group. That he was the laziest member, it wasn't true. He really worked hard and could have been such a double threat with his acting and singing career
So disappointed in Rain. He, out of all people, should know about the struggles as a trainee/raising star trying to make it in this harsh industry. I was there from Rain’s beginnings under JYP since the early 2000’s and I saw how hard he worked and the support he received under JYP helped propelled him in his career. SMH…i don’t know how, but I hope he bounces back from this…
I knew of Madtown and Ciipher, only a few songs, but still. I remember voting for I Like You when it debuted. I didn’t know they were gone🥲
Rain is definitely a legend in the kpop industry and in acting. But even many legends of all fields have something that they're not good at and Rain is no exception. But even with things not working out for Rain in his management of his companies and artists Rain is still a great guy and a legend in my eyes.
Legend in Kpop I can understand, but his acting is far from legendary, he was in some successful dramas, but they were not successful because of him most of the time.
I watched most of his dramas and most of the time I thought that this or that actor could have done equally or better
@@shinitakunai1145 i watched the last Drama just for Kimbum , for me, Rain's acting is cringey (this is just me) and it's like he's stuck on his Full House days
I wouldn't call him a legend in acting.
Rain wasn't bad at managing, he chose to put himself in shows instead of his own groups. That's pretty bad considering trainees abandon their futures and have a blank for several years in order to debut. Rain actually debuted them so they wasted additional 2-3 years after debut. Rain knows this. It's almost as if Rain finds it funny to let them experience a spotlight for once, then take it away. They had no comebacks, no shows, no fan meets, nothing. Worst is Rain replaced their appearances, which is simply laughable. Rain knows if he ruins them, they might become unemployed youngsters with no post-secondary academic record maybe cleaning toilets, or might become smalltime nobodies in the entertainment industry scraping by. Basically, this wasn't poor managing, this was Rain having fun toying with the group.
@@shinitakunai1145no no in acting. He can only show anger 😅😅I didn't like his acting since full house😂😂
Rain doesnt really want his groups to be more popular than him...always been that way..jay park the only one who did it right while being active artist
MBLAQ was my first K pop group. The way they were mistreated and neglected was painful to see.
I was at the K-Con concert and I thought that he got lots of love! He, of course did not get as much celebration as did Zerobasin( understandably because there were mostly younger people) I am not sure about was is or isn’t truth here…but I have video showing LOTS of love for Rain…be careful not to judge unless we know everything
MBLAQ was the group that got me into K-POP, I was so sad they didn't make it. 😭🤧
im SO mad for what happened to ciipher. he just wasted all their time and efforts. not to mention they're crazy talented, especially the main producers keita tag and won. so mad.
I don’t even think he manages at all his probably just the face of the company
The only thing I don’t like is him sending himself to kcon instead of his groups, I still respect him for his success as a actor/idol
I feel like his just a handsome jyp
Handsome JYP actually makes so much sense😭
This is not how it works. Rain is not the promoter of KCON so he doesn't decide who can or cannot perform. He was there because he was invited.
@@akosvarga7881 HE is very well known and have power very easily he can make his group make it to kcon don't act fool here
Rain with his influence can ask or heavily suggest that his groups perform at Kevin the same way he asked variety shows to promote them
To me Rain is a better performer than singer. His commanding presence, dancing, and style are what actually stand out. He needs to let the whisper singing go. He should have left on a respected high note. This is not how he wants his music career to end.
I think the commenters don't know about Ciipher. I've been a Ciipher fan since debut, there's nothing the man (Rain) didn't do. He brought his sons from competitions to competitions, even if we were wondering about the history of Cb, he tortured the members by ignoring our comments, you know. It left us wondering! We didn't even know if one of our members was alive?? Then suddenly 4 of our members left!! What are the idiots defending him going through? HE NEVER FULFILLED ITS RESPONSIBILITY! AND NOW WE CLUE'S WON'T FORGET HİM.
Ciipher's entire discography is gold, not a single skippable song.
I always felt that the variety show where Cha Eun Woo watches Ciipher wasn’t a “joke” at all. CEW was really pissed at how they were treated. Rain deserves all the funky breath comments he gets.

He wanted to be JYP since rain came from JYP entertainment where you have popular idol groups and still fame yourself but it’s not working for him that way he needs to fully invest and step aside
I hope he stops debuting boy groups if he can’t handle or do something about it
i think the main cause of internal conflict between idol members is selfishness. working together as a team all the time isnt easy, but its impossible if theyre competing with their own teammates.
A company didn't make a group right if the members are competing against each other. The reason groups like Ateez exo seventeen BTS and stray kids exist and seemingly have good a tight friendships/relationships is because they were trained to work as a team not fight each other for $$. They bounce off each other's skills and when they do solos they go with their own talents and style on things not actively try to step on each other's toes
He was going through the hardships before, why did he do that to these kids??? He really is selfish.
Make a video on how kpop fans themselves are also villains 😂

Whatever he's done is very wrong but kpoppies do not need to deny the impact he's had on kpop. Back in the day he was really big and is one of the richest kpop artists too. And this is why he shouldn't have competed with the groups he managed cuz he was big already. They deserved attention and promotion.
Yup..i understand this kind of scenario. I RememberED in what Suga said in his show that BTS likely to disband before bec. the company don't have money when they are starting
I went to a MBLAQ contest here in Mexico, and it was solid! Great performers

Well, I dont know much about rain. But, just dont judge him too hard y'all. Some shits happened that we couldnt see. The fans also must have role here, I think. Its a bless for us. I wish for the best for all the idols.
Still a fan of Rain ❤
But honestly how many views did Ciiphers first mv had?? People don't appreciate new groups anymore and when there is a slight chance of blaming others then they start with their blame game...
Despite blaming others at first watch their music videos and then talk
Right. I said the same thing to people. How are y'all pretending y'all care about Ciipher now, when y'all paid them no attention in the first place.
Groups who get little to no attention get abandoned 90% of the time
Ohhh kissing that man's ass it's really bad for y'all
Right, marketing and producing albums need money. So many small and mid size agency's Idol group had one or two comebacks then dissapear. No one blames on their CEO right? Rain is just a public figure so these people have a target to throw arrows into.
Rain might not manage them best, but every opportunity that he tried to give need a cost. When those cost didn't add up... It's either continue struggling or say bye2.
BTS was almost disbanded while filming I Need You (they had 2 bad album sales), they decide to continue, but not all Idol Group is as lucky as them.
I'm not a Ciipher fan, more of a kpop fan that watches ton of variety and entertainment shows. One thing for sure, whenever there is Ciipher promoting their group, there will Rain tagging along.. Like bro I want to see these rookies being themselves in the show.. Not seeing you introducing them.
The lost potential of all these artists is what makes me disappointed!!!
I love rain and all he does. ❤
I love kpop and I love him! To each their own 😂😂😂😂
Rain is full of Ego its so obvious.

MBlaq members are really careful when they talk about rain. But you can tell they kinda don't want to. Rain really could have mentored them and make them super successful. But he wanted the fame for himself more. Which sucks cause I know Mblaq's albums and let me tell you. If you liked their main track their B tracks are just phenomenal. Man I'm still upset about Mblaq
I still remember when rain and kin tai hee doing a house interview, kim tai hee keeps poking her husband for fun then out of nowhere rain slap her hands so hard then remember theres camera , and touch the hand of kim tai hee and said he is just joking
Well Rain should know that he had destroyed dreams of many young people under him trying to make it in the industry so the black ocean was well deserved. Don't do it again Rain.
this is so stupid. seriously if u own a company, invest and selling products, but products didnt give profit u expected, will u still invest in it and keep losing profit? fan only see idol as idol, but company see them as product. it not easy to raise an idol group, but it more harder to maintain it. rain might be 1 of investor and manage them, but im sure there are alot of other investor involved. decision probably not by him alone. in the end, ppl just want someone to be blame off.
The man keep doing the same thing over an over again dragging a lot of people and their dreams in the middle , that's stupid and irresponsible.

I love Rain so much but these groups didn't deserve such a treatment.
HOW IS THIS RAINS FAULT? 😮 not all can shine like a diamond.
it’s his fault bc they’re his groups. flop or not, give them a chance to prove themselves b4 dropping them when things get hard.
He's the *best* by far!!
Though rain being the most iconice idol he was the one because of which the other members of the group in which he was in could not debut, shattering their dreams and achieving his own by debuting solo
I don't remember who said it, (I think it was either Jay Park or Zico, who are creating / had created their kpop boy groups) but boy groups make a lot of money once they are successful. I think Rain just wanted the easy-cash and then dump them before they got bigger than him. Rain needs a wakeup-call that he is no longer famous, especially after he got married (which is a common reason most idol-fans leave).
Rain focus is on himself and money. He isn't a good ceo for boy bands. He should just manage himself. I have seen the way he promotes, he outshines ciipher. He needs to just buy properties
Rain shouldn't have dabbled into artist management. He should've stayed the way he was back then. He's greedy and irresponsible
Saw clips of his performance and people were definitely cheering and singing along
Just the haters keep pushing that no one cheered because it makes themfeel better for some odd reason
There’s people who have uploaded his full performance. If you look in the audience it’s definitely darker than if you compare it to Taemin, or really any other artist who was there, even the lesser known ones. Every artist is going to still have fans no matter what they do, so of course he’ll still get cheers and singing, but there was definitely less feed back compared to other performers. I didn’t hear any booing though, so I think the articles exaggerated what happened but it was a lot darker during his performance than everyone else’s
@@BreakofDawn I mean I didn't say everyone cheered. I'm sure some people didn't sing or cheer especially since most of them probably didn't know him or his songs. People needs to realize Rain is not management type because himself is entertainer. He doesn’t know how management works. If any artist starts to open they’re company you need to be careful because they might not know how to manage things correctly which they will sell and make profit for themself. They are not going to worry about other but themself. Rain is part of it too.
This story reminds me so much of jyp😂
Not into boy groups but after watching this video about what happened, rain really deserved to be scorned upon.
He destroyed so many dreams.
To be fair Ciipher didn't seem like the type of group which would survive in K-pop. I don't mean to be harsh. But k-pop is a relentless world. Even if Ciipher was being managed by other companies they would still disband sooner than expected. Try to see the situation from the perspective of a CEO, especially when you have invested your life in a product. If it's not beneficial, then you gotta pull the plug. Unfortunately it happens often. MBLQ was such a shame though, they could've been as big as 2PM, TVXQ, big bang or other big groups of their generation.
Rain disappointed big time. I don’t even feel angered or troubled they gave him a black ocean. To me it just seems he f**ed around and found out what fans are capable of when justice isn’t served.

Hmmm..he did this with mblaq too. Like even when they are at the top of their career. He disbanded them because he's to busy with his own business. So when he created his company again and debuting chiiper, i was like, why? Why he did it again? Will he treated those guys well? Will it repeat again? Yeah, i'm not sure with him for day 1. People saying they don’t know Rain…lol…by western standards, that like saying you don’t know Michael Jackson. BTS and Blackpink isn’t the start of K-pop, this is so funny.
girl they don’t have to know everything about kpop, especially groups they don’t stan. lot’s of people became stans in 3rd and 4th gen y’all aren’t any better just because you’re old 💀
Or maybe they just dont know old ass ☠️
Cuz bts made kpop popular international so ofc everybody knows bts. No wonder nobody outside of korea knows rain cuz he isn’t famous internationally
@@stxntwiceno one saying they have too but don’t pretend like they are the center of the universe and disrespecting other idols 🤷🏻♂️
@@stxntwiceLiterally they feel so special 💀
"Every k-pop fan"?? Are you sure?😂 I still love Rain❤
