Please be advised we have a minor copyright issue and a sound problem with this video. The issues have been corrected in the other video that shares the same name. We have decided to leave this "faulty" video up for the time being. Link to edited video below...

Hi Guys. I’m starting to get lots of questions because it won’t be long before I’m there. Can you give me an idea of how long it took you to get your long-term visas and what you did and where you got them? Also, is it safe to swim in the ocean now regardingsharks etc, as I like to do very long swims in the ocean.

We have Thailand Elite visas. This scheme has recently been changed and now it is quite expensive. However, you should at least consider this visa. Spend some time checking the information on the website to see if it suits your needs and you're prepared to pay the fees required. thailand-elite.com/
If you want to go for a retirement visa I suggest you use a visa agent. I can recommend Hoosna Somsak from HSR Services Thailand. facebook.com/HSRServices.Huahin.Thailand2020
Please note we DO NOT receive any commissions / payments / incentives / discounts from this business. Hoosna is a personal family friend of ours and handles all our visa issues and requirements.
Usually it takes 60 days to get the long term visas. Often it is faster.
We have not heard of any shark issues here in Hua Hin. I think distance ocean swims will be fine.

I left a reply on your most recent video. I’ve applied to Canberra and they said it should be about 2 to 3 weeks. Glad to hear about the sharks because when I swim off the Perth coast, my friends used to get very worried about me. Even though there was continual surveillance during hot days.

Oh we lost the sound at the end. I was wondering what soy that is I have seen it on other videos guess it's the main one. Is the food good on the beach? Thanks looks pretty there can't wait to come.

Thanks for your comment! The Soi that leads directly into Hua Hin Beach is called Hua Hin 61 Alley. We parked our car on Phet Kasem Road outside Wat Hua Hin and walked from there.
The food on the beach is quite good but it is too expensive. Unfortunately the "umbrella" area is a bit of a tourist trap. However - you just can't beat this umbrella spot as a place to have a drink and a meal - it's quite lovely. The food sellers have menus on show to allow customers to check prices before they commit. For most tourists the prices are a bargain compared to their home country.

They have been doing this for over 30 years now that we have been travelling here ,so I doubt any reporting falls on deaf ears.
