The RATE of population increase is slowing dramatically and gives every indication of becoming slow enough to reduce world wide population. We'll hit 11 billion, then this slow down will start reducing births. The book has its unexpected charm. The authors, both Canadians, in the last chapter claim Canada is the best nation in the world.
This is something that I have been thinking about this growing season. I have an abundance of tomatoes and a small amount of time left for them to ripen. Most gardeners know that to speed up the process of ripening the plant must be put under stress ie drought and deprivation. Thus the tomatoes ripen more quickly because they feel they have to reproduce by spreading the seed. This seems to me to be analogous to the so called population crisis. My main concern with a high population is pollution. Think of how much garbage and plastic each human creates. All the plastic, the diapers, the shampoo bottles, the cars that worry me. Seeing the landfills overflowing and the oceans jammed packed with garbage is depressing to me. Seeing how people in India live basically in a large landfill is disturbing. This is what I see as the main problem. I’ve volunteered cleaning river banks and seeing car tires after car tires and IV bags and just plain junk is truly depressing…. Can we tackle that as a society?

You gotta think, how hard does someone have to try to get a tire in the river!? You'd have to literally either throw it in there or dump it in a creek or washout intentionally. Some people are so oblivious to what happens to their shit they leave laying around or where the put it thinking its a good place for trash. It's carelessness and irresponsibly. Bruce saying that more people means an opportunity to raise more consciousness, makes zero sense to me. The unconscious people are always outpacing the conscious ones as in growth rate. Most people don't want to change, the world will change only after the chunk of unconscious people wither and most people are more conscious and want a change. But also the population will be less and more in tune with the cosmic reality. So a depopulation event is inevitable and will happen, before a new era of peace and equilibrium is met.

If I do then I either have bad tinitus or I end up having a rheumatoid arthritis flare up or IBS issues. It's abhorrent not i mention criminal with what's been and is happening. When I was in highschool I remember being taught how to research and computers were fairly new but we learned to research both online and offline. Anyways. The crux of the matter is the population is increasing but the birth rate is in steady decline. Further, wealthy nations tend to have lower birthrates while poor nations have high. As a biology teacher, I used to tell my students that the worst thing that could happen to a specie of animals was overpopulation, that specie would compete for food until enough of them died to balance the numbers. Can you imagine what would happen if there were 8 billion crows or tigers or whales?
That said, an important piece of information to consider is how many people on our planet would even be able to comprehend the concepts you are speaking on. Our main focus should be on raising our personal vibration and connecting with/amplifying those on the same path. 100%. And it also important not to shy away from difficult truths.

@@markusmaximus6636 oh it's much worse than just that. I'm allergic to so much and I don't vary with my diet very much at all. If I do then I either have bad tinitus or I end up having a rheumatoid arthritis flare up or IBS issues. It's abhorrent not i mention criminal with what's been and is happening. My life was literally a living hell for so long because of it all too. I'd finally realized that our law enforcement agencies, military, sciences education and medical systems are all over run with criminals who are intent on exterminating the human race. I keep feeling like we're in hell tbh. Especially with all of the evil I see in this world right now. But yeah I eat non GMO, organic and I don't eat much meat at all either. I'm extremely cautious.

Why is it that Elon Musk says that the world population is decreasing and Bruce Lipton says that it is increasing. It seems that we are not all singing from the same songbook.
You should have listened more closely. Elon Musk stated that it WILL be decreasing (in the future) just like Bruce just stated.
Elon is thinking ahead... give it another 10 years of people hitting retirement and there not being enough young people to replace and the truth will be out there
I'm shocked to see that people have a wealth of information with a click of a button but they are clueless about a topic. When I was in highschool I remember being taught how to research and computers were fairly new but we learned to research both online and offline. Anyways. The crux of the matter is the population is increasing but the birth rate is in steady decline. Further, wealthy nations tend to have lower birthrates while poor nations have high. (A lot of reasons for it).
I believe Elon said the birth rate is declining, there is a difference.
Don’t know dude but you know what you can go out and do your own research and come up with your own truth. You don’t have to take our rebuttal anything Dr. Lipton says or Elon musk because the truth lives inside of you if you’re not too lazy to go find it.

This cornicopian outlook fails to account for both projected shortfalls in accessible energy sources and declining IQ averages in high-developed nations best positioned presently to devote excessive resources and monumental organized efforts towards off-world colonization. Just because the potential exists does not necessarily mean its manifestation is inevitable nor that said potential will go undimished over time. Indeed, if societal regression occurs wherein economically viable energy resource extraction and storage becomes infeasible, then attentions will, out of survival interest alone, be decidedly directed towards strictly terrestrial subsistence and not to then unrealistic ambitions of interplanetary expansion.

Very well said. I call for a new education that includes the importance of living balanced in mind body and soul. We have been living in greed and overdrive for quite some time and have become accustomed to it. How implement this most basic truth in common knowledge. Homeostasis, most people don’t even know the term. There are no ailments in a balanced system. Love, another word many say but do not know the true meaning of. Love for me is balance. A person that loves is peaceful and ultimately balanced. A peaceful, balanced loving person will never be in fear of not having enough of anything and therefore not need to fight for or against anyone/anything.
I do hope that we find our balance together and that those who have already found it support others who are in need. Be kind to each other, be grateful for the amazing opportunity that we all have now and know/trust that we will all come out shining on the other side.

Thanks for the offer I got after the previous comment. Maybe in due time I will use it (not through a direct phone line, for me it is financially problematic, but through some internet phone connection). However, I think it is advisable to make this additional comment. For many reasons.
My written English is more fluent than spoken (everything about my English is based on - independent acquisition in adulthood, in other words - self-taught). The second reason is - writing requires greater control of everything we send in communication and the possibility of reconsidering what we sent and what we received in response. Third - I have not been "speaking" for quite a long time just for myself, as I believe is the case with you, but so that others would "process" the same.
So.
Harmony is a wonderful concept. One of the countless basic ones. I have been doing business under the name "sklad" for several decades, which is the only correct translation intо Serbian from "harmony". I'm not financially successful - which is very easy to explain: how much harmony there is in human relationships right now - that's how much my success is. I love, very much love Krishnamurti's thought: It is not (cannot be) a measure of health - adaptation to a society that is fundamentally sick.
My insistence on getting an answer to the question - where did we break the harmony - is a provocation to get back to the cause. I'm trying to be brief - because everyone scolds me for being verbose. Jeremy Griffith explained (?) the human condition (or "conditioning of people") in over 650 pages - and I'm afraid that very few will be able to have a uniform understanding of our condition or our conditioning after reading those 650 pages.
The answer to the above question is so simple and so obvious to everyone and so terrifying and naive - that it is advisable to know it independently, that is, to come to it without any input from others.

And also decorating the house is and this also contains so many plastic and so many unnecessary stuff and what is happening then is that some people have too many even things that they don’t really need and on the other side there are people who don’t have absolutely nothing and it’s not the poor that we cannot feed its the greedy that we cannot feed

@@lelaherc8599 I absolutely agree, we do have too many things... yet, we are living in a system, which continuously programms us into the mindset of either following the norms - which are based on outer appearance and consumerism - or be looked down at... so from small onwards kids learn, if they do not own this or that, they can not be part of a group, because the system itself is empty and based on the outer shell... if we would not be driven out of our inner self, humans are a most magnificent species... just look at those who do live in harmony with nature, but this is continuously being undermined and people barely getting by, will rarely have the chance to become self-sufficient, if we can not even buy land and have to pay taxes so one can not simply live a simple life, but being forced to either be part of the system including its inhumane demands or be out of the game

As a biology teacher, I used to tell my students that the worst thing that could happen to a specie of animals was overpopulation, that specie would compete for food until enough of them died to balance the numbers. Can you imagine what would happen if there were 8 billion crows or tigers or whales?

That said, an important piece of information to consider is how many people on our planet would even be able to comprehend the concepts you are speaking on. Our main focus should be on raising our personal vibration and connecting with/amplifying those on the same path. 100%. And it also important not to shy away from difficult truths.
love your work Bruce, but it is not the general population, it is the stuff which is sold.... look at all the rubbish, which can not even be repaired any longer, has a life span of mostly not even one year or maybe if you are lucky a few years... but compared to how sustainable the products were a few decades or a century ago. We are living in an old house and the heating system is almost indestructible... a few generations ago, people used baskets and glass bottles to refill their milk and so on, we need to go back to where we lost track and plastic industries took over
