If you like Lovecraft, HB does The Mound, it's a tad over 3 hrs but a great story, read by Ian. A few breaks for food and drinks are a good idea. HB has a facebook page too. Jen is a very cute lady, Ian is a smart looking chap, good ppl. They have entertained me many nights and some days. Ian's stories are great too.
I love this story - thanks so much for doing a narration of it (I'm fascinated by the body snatching era in general and in fact I'm writing a historical novel in which it features prominently). Jennifer's reading is superb, excellently done!
I truly enjoy the difference in yours and Ian's narration and the differing feelings they invoke. With yours, and this of course may be odd to say, but I feel like I'm sitting by the fireplace with others here and being read the story. Just fully absorbed in what is being said and calmed by your voice at first then feeling the emotions of what's happening in the tale for the characters as it goes on unfolding its just all really soothing. It might also help I'm in fact sitting by a fireplace haha well anyway. Lovely narration as always this is the first time I've ever heard of this story.
You say "Lewis", which is how Stevenson pronounced it. Being a Canadian, & living in a society with a great deal of French influence, I have always pronounced it as "Looey". I'm wrong & I know it, but I can't help myself! 🏴
Have you good people ever considered running serialisations, for instance of Sax Rohmer's lovely weird Fu Manchu books, which I am sure must be in the public domain? Thank you for all your excellent work. - Jimmy-James (a new subscriber) xxx
There's been talk of recording some Sax Rohmer stuff - but no plans as of yet, JJ! If you have any other suggestions, feel free to forward them via the website: www.horrorbabble.com/contact
This is another 1one of those stories, if someone just put a little imagination into it it could have been a a little longer involving a few Spades and graveyards, with the overcast of black Skies and then one night they enter a graveyard1 where one of the men were very leery & did not want to enter. For what he said to his thieving partner three many legends about the graveyard I don't think we should steal from here, but the other Thief persisted and they went in. You see ,over the side of the Hill there's a very old area that no one goes anymore not even the caretakers of this graveyard. The other man just kept pushing on and did not listen. He really should have listened to him 2because as they were leaving, with the to Fresh corpses that they dug up, I'm very thick dense fog started to creep over that one particular Hillside. One man began to scream I told you we should not have came here, the other man said stop don't worry we're okay but as they were walking through the trees getting ready to 1leave the cemetery Shadows started to appear. And both of them would have been a lot better if they were just2 Shadows but they weren't just Shadows the Living Dead were standing in front of them. So here's a little bit of effort and a lot of great imagination that could make a short story a little bit longer, but much more adventurous with a1 legend of a certain Cemetery that no one goes in anymore. So the next time you're walking past the cemetery that you never been in before maybe you ask first what time the visiting hours Stop, to make sure you're not in there too late , because you must certainly don't want to get locked in once they lock the gates. Because at night time you don't know what you're going to find, or will they find you. So those thieves that stole dead bodies for money to make extra money well that will be the last time they ever steal from a graves and when it gets around , what happened not even adults will walk in the cemetery at night. Jennifer Here's a thought maybe if you and your husband would get a friend and then collaborate in one story at the same time. That will definitely be an award winning the story. With the creativeness that you expel as you speak, and then Ian could be an evil ghoul and the friend, well he will be hunting 7Down The Walking Dead which unfortunately would be you and your husband, well see you in the next story, and thank you so much for the effort that you put into these stories because, I'm here listening to them everyday.
Well as you can see I've done a little writing myself but I'm no Stephen King, or any other great macob writer. BUT I'VE ENJOYED , DABBLING IN IT, MYSELF !!! I've been working on a few storys.. I don't know if you would be interested in it would you ? I HAVE A HORROR STORY COMPLETED. ALSO I HAVE TWO MORE THAN I'M WORKING ON. WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN MY ONE STORY THAT IS COMPLETED ? WOULD YOU HAVE THE TIME TO LOOK IT OVER TO SEE IF IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOUR FORMAT ? I would greatly appreciate it, just to have ( you & Ian ) would look it over, that would be an honor in itself. . Well let me know Thank's

Her audio setup is better than Ian's. *Firm handshake *
Good story and narration. Thanks, Jen. Great job!
The body-snatcher era is interesting. Morbid, but interesting.
This was an unexpected delight!
At first I confused this for the one written by Jack Finney...

Excellent reading Jen. 💀😈
I came for mind-controlling eldritch abominations, stayed for the horror that is much more mundane and all the greater for it.
Love this ❤️
Where's Ian :
Pretty sure you don't pronounce the "s" in Louis
Yes, The Name is pronounce Louie Like The Song Louie Louie , oh girl, you gotta go 1964 Rock Song.
Beautiful reading but the echo is a bit heavy. Otherwise perfect
Thank you for listening! Always appreciate feedback, will look into it for future readings. Jen
