  • When Lt Col Malachowski applied to join the Air Force Thunderbirds, little did she know that there had never been a female Thunderbird pilot before. This story tells how she broke through the glass canopy to become the first. See more stories at www.airforce.c....

Is an always will be my hero! Glad I met her in High school because she inspired me. I wanted to be a fighter pilot but was too short. Now, I want to build the fighters instead and fly a few planes, of course.

The most important line in this entire video:
"It means something to see someone who looks like you succeeding."

+Boabdil Perez it's a stupid line. anyway this is why i would never join the military and refuse to serve if drafted. I'd never fight for a country that puts women on pedestals

Graciela Tiscareno-Sato I will not fight for a country that says my body isn't mine(i.e. circumcision), i will not fight for a country that claims equality yet exempts women from conscription. i will not fight for a country that lets women murder and abandon children simply because it's inconvenience yet forces men to pay for unwanted children, even if the children were conceived by fraud or rape. I will not fight for a country that gives women a lesser punishment for the same crime as men. I will not fight for a country that passed a law forcing men to buy health insurance with artificially inflated premiums for the sole purpose of subsidizing women's healthcare.
if Hillary Clinton wins. I will gladly root for Russia,China and who ever else is the enemy of the US

Johnny Rabuse here is one shining example of how this country favors women and what i mentioned in my first post..THE DRAFT..women are exempt...apparently me and other males lives are expendable...equality my ass.

Yes but not all women are against it and not all women are feminist third wavers to toss them all under the same bus wins no points .... men had best realize that women outnumber men at the ballot box ...in my opinion the best offense is not to marry not to partake and to point out injustice in a polite manner ....men should not play victim that's the job of third wave feminists the woman flying that jet is as equal as it gets

I lived to see the day, with my daughters! :-) The line about accepting the label of "female" Thunderbird pilot because she knows it will motivate other young ladies, is GOLD. As an Air Force vet and former flyer, I totally get that and it's WHY women who do the "nontraditional" work MUST be visible.

Good for her! As a male pilot it's great to see the social change present here in aviation. Really impressive.

I wouldn't swear to it - but I think if you are not an Air Force Graduate - you can forget about being a Blue Angel!!!!! They usually do not trust ANYONE with $200 million dollar airplane - unless they have completely trained them - on campus!!!!!!
