Every time I watch your videos, I always close my eyes and simply listen. Then I imagine scenes and images based on the music. And I tell you, it's a marvelous masterpiece. That's why I love orchestra, with great music you also instill a wonderful story to the audience. Keep up the good work~ I'm waiting for another wonderful work.
Your music is phenomenal! I'm a musician from Washington who also loves anime and this is the perfect blend of these themes with classical still at it's foundation. Thank you so much for what you do!
I love this so much. I feel like this piece takes me to the sky and caress my face with a gentle wind, before gently lowering me back to the ground. I feel so content.
RUclips should really allow people to like videos more than once. I hope that's going to be a thing in the future, because this video is too good to just like only once.
Your music is SOOOO AMAZING! You deserve to be famous! I don't know why your videos don't get more views! Keep up the good work! I'll always listen to your music!
How could I miss this channel? This is so lovely! I’m loving the vibe and the music! The composition between the instruments intertwine and manifest a soothing and immense feeling.
Gorgeous! Even if I'm unfamiliar with the source material, I know I'll never be disappointed listening to your renditions. Thank you for everything you all do!
Would you interested in doing additional renditions of the Your Name ost? I loved your interpretation of this piece and look forward to more beautiful works!
I always thought you guys used Kontakt extensions... I feel better knowing this is actually recorded! If there's anyway to help with these, I would love to! (Trumpet)
Hey Shem Shem, thank you so much for your kind words! For brass in general, I like to record them with two mic positions, one at the "stage" somewhere 5-7 meters away and another "close" around 1-2 meters away. For the stage position, I usually use a 90 degree XY or 110 degree ORTF pair of microphones to get a good stereo image and position (this really helps place the instrument into the soundstage correctly). I personally have a pair of Sennheiser e914s for this. For the close position, you can have just a single mono spot mic or stereo pair if you have enough equipment. This mic position is to enhance the presence of the instrument when you're mixing, for example during solos or passages where you want to accentuate a certain instrument/group. For french horns specifically, if you want even more edge or presence, you can consider placing this mic position behind them so the bells are actually directly facing the microphone. Any decent mic should be good for this even something like a yeti blue or rode pencil mic. If you're just looking for quick recording or recording yourself in your room, try a simple stereo XY or AB setup and then add reverb/eq during mixing to make it sound nice. In this piece, I used alot of reverb during production to get a bigger sound. I hope this helps :)
This is a fantastic piece, but I'm not sure if it will fit Kimi no Na wa. Honestly, it kinda reminds me of a great adventure story which comes to a bittersweet ending. So it gives a sort of Hunter x Hunter vibe to me.
