By the time we fight the bots, Eggman probably thought it would be a good idea to test out the base abilities they all have against them
they're also not 'true' metal copies since they are ultimately just a set of visual flair options for eggman's custom robot doubles, not a full suit. The tails and amy variants, for example, don't have any abilities that the base one doesn't.
I feel like Eggman made Metal Tails just because Tails complained about it in the 30th anniversary comic. "So, you want a Metal counterpart, Fox Boy? OHOHO, I'll GIVE you a Metal counterpart..."
I think Eggman's newfound respect for Tails after the adventure games would actually guaranty that he'd never try to build a true 'Metal Tails'. If the metal series robots are supposed to surpass the originals in every way, Eggman would have to build a robot that not only flies better than Tails, but one that is also smarter than Tails. Since he now sees Tails as the closest in the world to his intellectual equal, his ego would never let him build a Metal Tails because it'd mean he'd have built a robot as smart as himself, if not smarter.

Maybe the tails robot in superstars is like an idea for tails if he ever becomes a problem. I mean, Tails did help out sonic and knuckles in sonic 2 and 3, so Eggman could see that, think of making a robot to stop him, but deciding against it, but keeping that robot in the back of his mind if he ever does become a true threat
My personal head cannon for Metal Tails and Amy is that simply put. Eggman was experimenting with possible prototypes in the form of data and simulations. After they get wrecked, he uses the data of not just Metal Tails and Amy, but Knuckles too! Resulting in Classic Metal Sonic being set aside as he uses the data to upgrade him. Honestly figured maybe metal tails and Amy were being made during the events of Superstars. But since they’re a rush job, they all have the same basic capabilities of metal sonic here. Perhaps he wanted to mind-game them with their robo duplicates?
There's a lot of potential for how the Superstars Robots could work, but I also imagine that potential getting squandered It's glad to see I'm not the only one who hyperfocuses on canon in relation to character roles

Funny thing with the Tails-color debate. When sonic did the annual Twitter takeover, there were actually two segments where Tails refers to himself as being yellow-orange
Well I guess this video answers by question of: "Why does Tails not have a robot double?" I do like the detail put into Metal Tails in Sonic: SuperStars! Very cute, yet very fierce B)
Given the ears are so big, there's a chance metal tails would be better suited for recon missions, which could be very useful. That said, disappointed one of the arms isn't replaced by the iconic blaster tails rocks in sonic battle, giving him a more ranged focus. also, i'm going to play devil's advocate here, far as we know, this is metal tials and amy's only appearance, so i purpose that eggman didn't make them out of acknowledgement of induvial talent's, but rather acknowledgement of the group dynamic, and how strong sonic and knuckles are when supported by the other's. this is why metal tails isn't colored 100% accurate, as a sign that he's not paying attention to the person, rather the skill set he has with sonic.
Also, maybe give him modified gamma flight things, not for maneuverability, no, they're going to be mobile eyes and ears for him, with mini blasters on the front that act like tazers, essentially a dark mirror of tails super form from sonic 3 and knuckles were he gets flickys, but now they're drones and help with suppressive fire and recon, and is a nice retooling of the thin hover jet gamma had, showing it can now be it's own separate robot, or at least fly by itself and shoot. A good technological evolution.
They way I would interpret the superstars metal tails into the canon is that Robotnik recognized tails potential sometime after Sonic R that even if Tails was not a threat now, he might be in the future.
The best way I could think to have the tails robot in superstars fit it with the continuity, would be just that it’s a generic model that can have parts swapped out like in game, so therefore it was more of a second thought to eggman, and something he put together at the time compared to the other metal versions of the characters, which seemed to have more thought and planning put into them. You could even use the non-unique fights against them as evidence towards that, the robot seemed like it wasn’t in the element it was designed for.
Regarding the timeline conundrum with Superstars, wasn't the modern "classic" games supposed to take place in a new timeline after Generations split it in two? I'd imagine Classic Eggman took all his future self's failures into consideration in order not to repeat the same mistakes, and underestimating Tails would've been one of those.
Honestly I can accept Muttski becoming Mobian in the reboot timeline, it is a different timeline afterall and the o ly ones who remember him as a dog dog are the reader and those who were from the og universe. Not to mention, with what caused the reboot to happen in reality, they needed to fill in characters after loosing so many
I think the Metal Amy robot is more acrobatic, since Amy herself is quite acrobatic with her hammer in the games. At least that is what I think giving four jets on the robots "skirt" says to me.
While they are fan games I would like to point out the designs for a Metal and Mecha Tails in Sonic After the Sequel and Sonic Laserdisc, both being fox variants of their respective metal doppelgänger.
My only nitpick with Metal Tails from Superstars is: Why are it's eyes together? I mean okay,Metal Sonic and Amy have them, but the originals have them too,but Knuckles doesn't have them and neither does the Metal form. But again,it doesn't take a lot of rhe design,it's still fire.
Huh, how very interesting, i hope we get Modern Versions of Metal Tails and Metal Amy at some point. This was a very well done Video, i will look forward what you cover next, speaking of which, when are you going to do SMBZ Hyper Mecha Sonic? Do you have any idea of when? Not pushing, just wondering, in case you’ve been asked this a lot.
No idea why but the way Nick portrays getting a Metal Form as a prize or a present. Tails proved himself to daddy Eggman so he got a present in the form of a robot that tried to kill him 💀💀
It's more that in Eggman's mind it is a prize, it means you proved yourself worthy to him Worth of his time working on a better version of you to serve as his killing machine and of being killed by him through said killing machine To the Doctor that is a honour
Regarding the timeline, there are a couple ways to look at this situation, depending on whether you think Generations... A) Caused a split timeline, or B) Caused the new events of Mania & Superstars to somehow overwrite whatever events originally took place around this era. I say this because Mania and Sonic 4 are fundamentally incapable of coexisting on a single linear timeline because they contain contradictory interpretations of how Eggman recovered Metal Sonic from Little Planet. Either he called him back when Little Planet reappeared later, or he used the Phantom Ruby to recover him early while still in the Classic era. Because of this, any classic game featuring Metal (except CD of course) MUST take place after Mania, including Triple Trouble, Knuckles Chaotix, Sonic R, Sonic the Fighters, ect. The issue is that there's no way that that the events of Mania originally happened prior to to the Time Eater's interference, it specifically features the Sonic, Tails, and Eggman who returned to the past after Generations was finished. This leaves us two options, though the nice thing is that both of them contain an explanation for Metal Tails/Amy in Superstars. Option A is that it's just a split timeline like Forces suggested, which solves not only this discrepancy but a mountain of other ones across the series, but is contradicted solely by one of the recent Tails Tube episodes which complicated everything by claiming that the modern cast remembered Superstars, which makes no sense and was done solely because the higher ups seem to think that a split would be a problem instead of the ideal solution, but whatever, it's not the ONLY possibility so we'll be open minded and explore the alternative. Option B is that there is no split, and NONE of those post-Mania games I mentioned were part of the original timeline, but overwrote the original history (which would contain games like Sonic 4, Pocket Adventure, and maybe a couple others) after Generations happened to become the new canon story and retroactively affect the memories of the modern cast. They say "Everything is Canon", but Sonic 4 and other games getting overwritten in the chronology doesn't actually contradict that, since the same thing already happened with '06, where the Time Eater proved that those events still happened, even if they were "overwritten" after the defeat of Solaris. The catch with the latter option is that all the "Modern" games pre-Generations would still be showing us the original, pre-altered timeline. The version of Adventure that we have shows Eggman not taking Tails seriously because this is NOT the same Eggman who already returned from the future and knows better. This is the Eggman who experienced Sonic 4 INSTEAD of Mania. But now we get to the most interesting question... what if we DID get to see what a post-Mania SA1 would look like? Such as, hypothetically speaking, in a remake? What if, instead of being 1:1 in terms of story, they did what the FF7 remake did and acknowledged some alternate history shenanigans? Could be extremely cool if handled well.
They are keeping in mind the continuity which now also includes IDW. Given the timeline placement, which is the last game before the time skip (thus not only mainline games like Mania but spin offs like Sonic the Fighters) and Tails complaint in Seasons of Chaos, I don't think Metal Tails is a matter of respect but more of a be careful what you wish for type of deal since while Eggman doesn't respect Tails he still knows Tails is a threat to his plans. Its why he shot down Tails in Sonic 2 after all. Also if I don't care if this controversial to say, as while gameplay does matter, I don't consider it to be all end all nor do I want it to be. (to be frank if that was truly the case Sonic wouldn't be as popular as he is) Sonic's focus on it's characters, story and continuity (90s Western localization hiding the true lore and Meta Era aside) is what drew me to this series away from Mario. IMO games that overly focus on gameplay are wonder bread. Sure Mario may outsell Sonic and my other preferred platformer Kirby but Sonic and Kirby's cast and stories still stick with me and other people to this day.
My headcanon is that we have a bit of a split timeline going on between the Classic and Modern Sonic games, and I think it's more evident due to Generations and Forces. I think that the time-travel shenanigans from Generations caused the Classic and Modern timelines to split, with one timeline where Classic Sonic becomes Modern Sonic and one where Classic Sonic ends up meeting his future self from another timeline in Generations and continues on to have adventures in Mania, Forces, and Superstars. This would also explain Classic Eggman creating Metal Tails in Superstars - this is the Classic Eggman from Generations who met his Modern self and learned how much of a threat Sonic's friends became and decided to get ahead of the curve and challenge them more directly. I think a timeline split is a pretty clean way to keep going with the Classic Sonic style without messing up Modern Sonic's canon - and it's by far less confusing than the Zelda timeline is and should never need to be that confusing.
Welcome back! Hope you had a Merry/Happy whatever you celebrate. Robanukah. Let's go with that. Happy Robanukah to you and all of the robots doppelgangers out there!
If you want an answer to that whole canon, I think we're meant to infer that the events of Generations caused the game timeline to split in two. Problem is they haven't actually told us that in any way...
If they want to insist every single game is part of one continuous timeline, then I definitely agree they should adhere to that and find proper places and reasons for games to appear at X point of said timeline.
Another point to your theory of Eggman making the tails doll because he doesn't see Tails as a threat can be taken from the Gashapandora fight in Sonic Mania's Metallic Madness. The little Amy bot referencing Sonic CD has a similar "red-gem-on-an-antenna" that the tails doll does.
I remember me and my older brother fucking sobbing when tails was a "robot" because we genuinely thought he got robotizied we grew up with the 90 cartoons but played the modern games and we genuinely thought tails was never going to return because we didn't pay attention to what they said in the cutscenes and assumed tails was just trying to break out.
- something i love about TailsMan is that the wings serve as TWO references, obviously Miles' tails, but also they're designed like the wings on Megaman's Super Adapter armors - i mean if you combine it with Nine's articulated tail-claws then the Propeller Tails do make sense; honestly is just cool enough of a visual for me to not care - I'm sure the canon answer for Tails' fur is "it depends on the light angle" & then they do a little Takeover skit in which they go "oh yeah it does look yellow from here!" - well the canon robot in SuperStar is the little astronaut guy, & wasn't really built by Eggman so... Metal Tails/Amy are basically "What If Robotnik actually saw Amy & Tails as menaces worth building Metal Copies for"; also the fact that Forces implies Santiago got a separate Timeline after the events of Generations
Honestly i think that the "modern Classic" era of games has the eggman that was in sonic Generations thus meaning Eggman was able to see tails as a threat earlier and thus the continuity has shifted for eggman to feel more threatened by the side cast in general.
Id personally like metal tails to be something he just designed in an afternoon on a whim. He wanted to just have a bunch of prototypes to compete to get data on and he just thinks for a minute trying to come up with more possible designs while looking at a picture of sonic. His eyes are drawn to tails who is just out of focus and thinks "why not"
Now that I think about it, Tails doll is probably Eggman's dissing Tails, refusing to accept his rival's skill entirely. It foreshadows Eggmans behavior toward Starline. He doesn't respect others his ego is too big to. The Starline toy figure was the in comic foreshadowing that Eggman doesn't see him as an equal, he's manipulating him.
Honestly with how the comics are currently and the stories being told. I really do see how Metal Tails can be it's own unique threat, this is what i imagine. With Tails becoming more prominent in stopping eggman and the still slightly stinging defeat from the adventure games eggman finally starts on a metal tails. The issue how ever after completion it is on subservient for a small while, in order for the robot to emulate tails it also start emulating the intelligence of him. Completely breaking off from serving eggman, and the main goal of the bot? Metal sonic. Metal tails being an emulation of tails wants his other metal counterpart. Here is where i see a split A) either metal tails want himself and metal sonic to challenge our duo or B) Metal tails studies metal sonic and himself to start creating other metals of Sonic's friends (and maybe even eggman too but I'm still iffy on that)
I also say this partly because a metal war arc or something of the sort would be interesting to me. The other part cause a metal creating other metals is cool
For the anthropomorphic character who have pets it's maybe the equivalent for a human to have a monkey as pet ? But for the robot dog tail I have no other explanation, it must be a kink
In matters of canon, you can do what I do. In my headcanon Superstars takes place in the "Mania timeline", a diverging timeline which starts in Generations where events occur differently. For example, Sonic developing a new technique (the Dop Dash, maybe as a result of trying to master his modern coutnerpart's air dash). Even though Modern Tails doesn't do much in Generations, perhaps meeting his older self inspired Classic Tails to be more significantly active in his adventures with Sonic, thus proving his formidablity to Robotnik earlier.
Don't forget Sonic Generations. By time travel the Robotnik of the past saw his future self who probably told him "hey, build metals of Sonic's pals and see if any changes history". Robotnik putting effort into Metal Tails makes sense if Superstars is after Generations for classic Robotnik.
I have a theory what is the battle mode in sonic superstars was test for an upgrade to metal and seeing if any other metal counterparts to the main cast could work this could be a test for metal sonic AI, which he’s been working on and those test were successful so in sonic adventure, the reason why he’s in that test tube or whatever is because that they’re updating him with the AI that they were testing in the battle mode and then in the battle mode of sonic adventure two it’s a AI actually having to sonic and or Amy and shadow and since those test were successful, he let them go on the field to actually try to beat sonic, but he ended up overthrowing egg man in the events of heroes, and then for the rest of the series he’s always working in the background to try to still make an upgrade to his AI but to stop him from doing that ever again. and that is my metal sonic theory.
I always thought that Eggman didn't see Tails and Amy that much of a threat during the early days of the Classic Sonic canon (and obviously in Sonic R with the Tails Doll), but as Sonic Mania rolled around with the reality-warping Phantom Ruby and the Hardboiled Heavies resulting in an absolute mess for Eggman despite him literally almost winning with all that power and back-up, he probably took the entire team very seriously and made contigencies for them (in the form of adding Metal Tails & Metal Amy) or thought that were somehow helping Sonic in a way he didn't know about (the power of friendship/teamwork, duh) and he decided to counter them that, additionally making Metal Sonic have his own team at this point.
Thing is, when it comes to tails it's a battle of engineering. They constantly battle with mecha and robo. A Mecha Tails wasn't done earlier because tails isn't really a ground combatant, but rather a vehicle specialist. And yeah he can get nasty with his tails on the ground but that doesn't make him a ground combatant. Look at Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Silver, and even Big the Cat.
kinda viewed tails doll as more eggman having such a budget crush from his failure with the death egg(one thing i liked in the microscopic story 4 had being that him being in debt so bad it was his reason for taking over the casino zones.) he made tails doll with whatever scraps he had considering he uses it like a teddy bear in the idw comic. but with the times tails defeated him in the recent classic games & fully getting his identity in adventure/fully acknowledged in frontiers i could see that angle but do hope for a future classic story those robots are brought back as outside the designer coming back they felt as throwaway as metal in the dark age in superstars as bosses.
The irony of making this and the other video before the ultimate reveal of additional mecha copies in the Sonic Prime finale, as if they just had to add an extra set of mechas to talk about
I can't believe I have to say this here too. Goofy and Pluto makes sense. They're both canines, the same way on earth there are monkies and humans. Just because humans and monkeys are both simians, doesn't mean that it'd be odd for a person to have a pet monkey. It'd be odd cause it's rare, but no one says "wait, how can you have a pet simian? Are you not also a simian?" Goofy just happens to share a similar common ancestor with a common pet. It'd be like if crows evolved into a sapient species alongside humans and people were like, "wait, don't you feel weird owning a parrot when your best friend is a corvid sapien?"
I feel the reason why there are Robotic Versions in a time when there wouldn't be is because of a game like Generations. Where technically at one point Robotnik had in fact seen not only the capabilities of one Tails, but two. Of course it is likely that he would/should have focused only on the Moddern versions though, considering that the Modern characters have had experience that Robotnik could exploit and use against the Classic Characters. So in a way, like how Eggman had his "aftermath of Generations" game, Robotnik has Superstars and Mania as his "aftermath" game, although instead of being absolutely crazy with years of failures like Eggman does, Robotnik just kinda does what he's good at and makes robots.
In the Boom section you missed that one episode where Tails accidentally fuses with a Buzz Bomber and slowly goes mad and leads a Buzz Bomber uprising.
I headcanon it as Eggman mothballing all of them except Metal Sonic until after the Advance games, at which point he recommissions and upgrades Metal Knuckles. Thus, Metal Tails and Metal Amy are still kicking around, they're just inactive and in cold storage until later.
Honestly, I just rationalize it as the base Avatar robots being the only 'canon' version of the Cyber Station boss. That's what they look like when you start the game, that's what I consider canon. The Metal Amy, Metal Tails and all the other original designs, are just non-canon fanservice that we all _can_ appreciate.
Maybe Eggman deliberately doesn't build a proper Tails robot to goad Tails into building his own robots. He does sometimes show some respect towards Tails' genius
Eggman building a Metal Tails and Amy so early in the timeline doesn't make sense only if you believe that he built them SPECIFICALLY to counter their fleshy templates. My theory? They were ALL designed to go after Sonic, serving as backup to Metal Sonic while also getting a psychological edge against the blue blur (by having copies of his friends beat him up). It probably wouldn't have worked because Sonic is, y'know, _Sonic_ (read: not really someone whose emotions are available to be toyed with), which is probably why they (barring Metal Sonic, obvs) weren't seen again later in the timeline.
I feel like if there was gonna be a proper robo-tails, it should probably be like robo-ky from guilty gear. It just has gadgets for literally any situation ever. Maybe even a parodic version of tail’s personality as well, where it’s extremely cowardly.
If I had to say why Eggman built a Metal Tails, even tho he only started acknowledging Tails after the Modern Era, I would say that it is because of what Tails said in IDW about "Why I don't get a cool Metal Tails like Sonic and Knuckles?" Maybe Eggman really considered Tails' feedback and decided to create it for him Maybe that could even be a way for Eggman to see Tails as even less important, like "Oh, the fox boy literally asked me to create something to surpass him and make him having more trouble than he has with Tails Doll"
Seeing Tails’s robot dog, I’m really surprised they didn’t do the things Star Wars did with their droids who look cute without looking like animals. Like the Badniks are right there, they could clearly have Tails make his own line of robots like that
I imagine Eggman created Metal Tails in response to Tails' question about the Tails Doll, and the creative juices got away from him.
I guess Eggman thought about it long and hard😂😂😂
I heard a headcanon where Metal Sonic made Tails Doll on the tails doll video from this very channel in the comments

I do like the detail put into Metal Tails in Sonic: SuperStars!
You know, there was a cut character from Sonic the Fighters named “Jet Metal” who would mesh pretty well with a Metal Tails
Its always a good day when GameApologist starts going insane over Sonic the Hedgehog
That would have been a better idea, except Sonic Team did not use that idea to an advantage unlike Star Trek.
That was what it was for a long while, but Ian Flynn and later confirmed by Sega, they are one timeline.
Real nice descriptive video! keep up the good work!
I actually went out of my way to design a Metal Cream and I went with twin jet engines. Bolted to the head to mimic her ears.
Nine deserves his own video. Such a great character. Easily the best variant in Prime.
Not pushing, just wondering, in case you’ve been asked this a lot.
welcome back man- happy to see you posting videos again! \o/
No idea why but the way Nick portrays getting a Metal Form as a prize or a present. Tails proved himself to daddy Eggman so he got a present in the form of a robot that tried to kill him 💀💀
It's more that in Eggman's mind it is a prize, it means you proved yourself worthy to him
Worth of his time working on a better version of you to serve as his killing machine and of being killed by him through said killing machine
To the Doctor that is a honour
It’s always a good day when Game Apologist uploads
True
It’s always a good day when Game Apologist uploads
I agree
I love how the most humble Sonic character always designs his bots after himself XD
Welcome back! Hope you had a Merry/Happy whatever you celebrate. Robanukah. Let's go with that. Happy Robanukah to you and all of the robots doppelgangers out there!
I like the idea that Eggman only made Metal Tails because he got a complaint about the doll.
If you want an answer to that whole canon, I think we're meant to infer that the events of Generations caused the game timeline to split in two. Problem is they haven't actually told us that in any way...
Whoa, I love videos about the many mechas of Miles "Tails" Prower!
- something i love about TailsMan is that the wings serve as TWO references, obviously Miles' tails, but also they're designed like the wings on Megaman's Super Adapter armors
- i mean if you combine it with Nine's articulated tail-claws then the Propeller Tails do make sense; honestly is just cool enough of a visual for me to not care
- I'm sure the canon answer for Tails' fur is "it depends on the light angle" & then they do a little Takeover skit in which they go "oh yeah it does look yellow from here!"
- well the canon robot in SuperStar is the little astronaut guy, & wasn't really built by Eggman so... Metal Tails/Amy are basically "What If Robotnik actually saw Amy & Tails as menaces worth building Metal Copies for"; also the fact that Forces implies Santiago got a separate Timeline after the events of Generations
Awesome Tails is my favorite sonic character I always love when we get a video focused on Tails well kind of it's based on his doppelganger's
I have a hypothesis that Dr.Eggman is more threatened by Tails than he lets on. Therefore he underestimates, belittles the fox prop up his own ego.
Gonna finish editing while vibing to this video, thank you Nick 💙
Honestly i think that the "modern Classic" era of games has the eggman that was in sonic Generations thus meaning Eggman was able to see tails as a threat earlier and thus the continuity has shifted for eggman to feel more threatened by the side cast in general.
Id personally like metal tails to be something he just designed in an afternoon on a whim. He wanted to just have a bunch of prototypes to compete to get data on and he just thinks for a minute trying to come up with more possible designs while looking at a picture of sonic. His eyes are drawn to tails who is just out of focus and thinks "why not"
I like how nick seemingly hates that tuff of metal so much that on the thumbnail archie metal tails just doesn’t have it
Hey, have you heard about the Sonic Forces Overclocked mod? It's REALLY cool!
I love how Eggman makes himself the Brain of the giant Tails mech. It makes sense he thinks tails is barely under him int wise.
I never really considered T-pup to be a dog version of Tails, just a robot dog with Tails' color pallet.
*Tails is yellow-orange, it was stated by him (his VA) in the Sonic twitter takeover.* And I think Tailstube too
We need an official team metal in the games.
I have been waiting for this movie since I saw the movie about all the versions of Metal Amy
I love how Robo-Fox Tails looks like he's wearing a monocle
7:54 I honestly thought Scrapnik Island Tails was a reference to Fox McCloud from the Star Fox Games
5:26
Terminator tails! 😂😂😂
I wasn't going to click but then I saw tails man. Deep cuts like that deserve respect
My favorite metal tails the one on the fan animation "tails CD", i just love the propeller tail and how they kinda won in the end
I’ve heard that after Sonic Generations the timeline splits, and this is where the “classic remakes” come from.
I thought the whole idea of Eggman going to the Northstar Island was to have the power to mass produce metal dudes
The irony of making this and the other video before the ultimate reveal of additional mecha copies in the Sonic Prime finale, as if they just had to add an extra set of mechas to talk about
They still get mentioned in both videos, and turns out there isn’t much to say about them individually anyway
There is technically also another metal Tails in Sonic Boom when Tails fused with a Buzz Bomber
5:03 what if tails studied like, past Mobian biology or something
The Sonic Superstars Metal Tails looks like one of his og kart designs. From Sonic Drift and old classic official arts.
Metal Tails, unlike Metal Sonic, purely worships Eggman. An image of a confident inventor who doesn't even see Tails as a rival came to mind.
IMO, Metal Tails looks kinda ugly in yellow. It almost looks green under some of the lighting. The orange paint job fits better.
There's a cursed energy to Tails (a fox) making a robot dog (another canine).
I feel like if there was gonna be a proper robo-tails, it should probably be like robo-ky from guilty gear. It just has gadgets for literally any situation ever. Maybe even a parodic version of tail’s personality as well, where it’s extremely cowardly.
If I had to say why Eggman built a Metal Tails, even tho he only started acknowledging Tails after the Modern Era, I would say that it is because of what Tails said in IDW about "Why I don't get a cool Metal Tails like Sonic and Knuckles?" Maybe Eggman really considered Tails' feedback and decided to create it for him
Maybe that could even be a way for Eggman to see Tails as even less important, like "Oh, the fox boy literally asked me to create something to surpass him and make him having more trouble than he has with Tails Doll"
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years Nick!😊
Seeing Tails’s robot dog, I’m really surprised they didn’t do the things Star Wars did with their droids who look cute without looking like animals. Like the Badniks are right there, they could clearly have Tails make his own line of robots like that
5:10 daaaaammmmn shots fired
