Gypsy it is thinner because there is no folder. You can use cardboard to make a shymto put through. I use a piece of packaging folded from one of my dies
How fun to die cut! Well, I have a love/hate relationship with mine. But, I love the embossed pieces to accent collages. It adds texture to it. I also like to take embossed cardstock and sandpaper it lightly to expose the white core of colored cardstock. It adds a shabby feel to it. I also will lightly paint embossed paper and it will paint only the raised parts and gives a distressed look. I used dollar tree cutting mats because I don't care that they etch into them. I use stiff cardboard to create shims when the layers are too thin. Just be careful to not create too thick sandwiches else you can break your machine. Start with thinner and work your way up. I have used cardstock as shims when cardboard is too thick. Wishing you lots of success with your die cut machine! PS newly subscribed... 😊
@@makingjoyfuljournals Welcome! Thank you for being here and for the great advice. I definitely don't want to break it and I just got started lol. I'm going to have to try some of those tips you mentioned! ❤️
Also yes it will definitely cut into the plate. That happens every time. Amazon also has all the plates you need …I am actually needing to buy for mine.
How fun! I need to pull my die cut machine from the corner and play 😊🎉
@@luvlyloops You should!! Let me know what you come up with!!

@@SharenLCotie so even with a c plate it will still cut the plate?
@TheGypsyLion yes it will. Those dies are pretty sharp and you have to put them threw under a lot of pressure
The shiny idea can work but ultimately that is the cutting plates fate 😢
