They got what they wanted with Destiny’s Child-number one records and hit albums.

So she worked hard and sacrificed A LOT of her life for her music and to take care of her family, essentially. When Beyoncé got paid-so did her family.
“I saw Mama cryin’ and I saw Daddy Lyin’…”
And while she was working, performing, making music-she missed out on being with her family while slowly watching her family fall apart.

People are afraid to feel their darker emotions, the ones which remind them of the limitations of their existence. This one is so raw and vulnerable, it brings the listener face-to-face with the ups and downs of life and making meaning of one’s life. But those who are willing to go there emotionally are highly rewarded. ❤
