- Abhinandan Sekhri talks to #DhruvRathee, a young RUclipsr, part journalist, and part activist, as he describes himself. Rathee’s videos focus on current and political issues.
Abhinandan asks Rathee about a complaint filed against him by a BJP ‘volunteer’. Was there a point when he thought it’s enough? Why is he apprehensive about returning to India and chooses not to reveal his country of residence online.
Rathee also talks about working solo, seeking experts’ help to verify facts and how mistakes still go through. Abhinandan also asks the young RUclipsr about dealing with online hate, political party loyalties and why the culture of being ‘woke’ and politically correct is disruptive to good journalism.
Towards the end, Abhinandan asks Rathee, what would make him come back to India and work here, independently?

However, somewhere in the middle you lost it. I keep wondering about it. If nothing else, you will end up as an interesting case study. Have you ever wondered why Akash Banerjee, just a guy, has nearly double the subscribers than you, the organization with 'a team of 12-15 editorial people' and far more resources at hand...have you ever wondered why? may be the answer is your business model or may be not, may be your slogan ' pay to keep news free' which you have made into this unquestionable approach to deliver news to people is not so after all..may be it is not the be and end all solution towards an unbiased approach to news... or may be not...what I mean to say is flexibility and contemplation and introspection has its virtues and you guys seem to be working hard to keep yourselves deprived of them. Let the pay wall not turn into an iron wall of opacity to your potential audience and a boundary wall of elitism to your present audience in your unreasonably unshakable belief in and pursuit of your approach/business model .
