    You have an “eye” for details most don’t. I hope the manufacturers listen to your reviews.

      I hope so too Charlie's Mom. I know Pleasureway listens and has made some changes to their 2019 year line up based on things that I've pointed out. In general PW seems to be very customer focused and iterates and refines their designs year after year. it's a much more European way of doing things and I think the results speak for themselves.

    Really glad you are reviewing all these class B Van's. You show what no others dare show or speak about. I am of the mind I like quality and that does cost more on the front end ,You want something to last not just a thing you are upset with or constantly repairing. But having said that There are consumers who will run to Van's based on that price alone and the well known name and suffer through the entire experience. "I PITY THE FOOL ". The price looks good but I have seen enough in life to know everything that is a bargain is a good deal . Thanks again and keep showing the truth.

      so true, so true. wise words you share. i'm really on a kick about coach builders offering more than a one year warranty. i think this is the key. if they offer a 5 or 6 year warranty at least they are saying to the buyer "look, we stand by our product".

    I am a former Service Manager for a Winnebago's dealer in Quebec many years ago, and they were a leader in motorhomes, but not for the quality, as I look now at their products it's seem that it's the same story, they have the look, the price and the branding, and infortunatly for some Canadian manufacturers as PW , it's very difficult to compete, with a highest quality, with a giant as Winnebago, but as for many other things, we have to pay extra dollars to get the real quality. Thanks Neil for this informative video, You are always an interest for viewers like us.

      hi, Claude! do you mind me asking did you work at Riv Sud? Really interesting to hear your perspective on things - thank you so much for sharing. I don't dislike Winnebago at all but I do want people to understand what they're buying. that way they are happy, Winnebago is happy and the entire industry is happy. the last thing the industry needs are dissatisfied buyers who write off the whole rv lifestyle because customers grow disenchanted with their purchases.

    • @solodad

      In the years 1980, when a closed relation of my father discontinued to be a dealer of Winnebago in Laval, some people decides to take this product as lineup and I was the SM, we were also dealer for Concord, Triple EEE and if you remember Leocraft an headache for us.With Wiinebago we had a lot of work for replacing the aluminium siding that were pintaling on many Winnebago units , they were using a sandwich wall (luan - foam - and alu) pressurized ) but after 2-3 years the problem appears, and many other service calls, but it was the same problem for other manufacturers, but Triple EEE was a bit better for quality and reliability, so when the company closed, I had (1) Triple E Empress that I like and after that I own trailers and 5 wheelers. I always look since then many products and I prefer small maufacturers who do products for quality.

    Thanks for the review. This model was initially on the top of our list for the reason you stared in your video; it’s a beautiful looking coach that has a wow factor. Fortunately we didn’t buy and continue our research which is how we found you. Our search continues for the class b that best suits our needs and we finally have a short list. Thank you for your videos as they’ve been very helpful in educating us on class b’s. We hope to make a purchase very soon. Keep making videos and we’ll keep watching! Thanks again!

    • @roger159S
      @roger159S 6 лет назад +3

      I’ll try to be brief...for my wife and I it came down to luxury versus utilitarian. We want a short wheel base but also an all season with the best boondocking capability. We also want to use the van as a utility vehicle when at home so we need an open floor plan in the rear. That said, we’re leaning towards the travato 59GL but haven’t ruled out the Hymer activ. I’m not impressed with the revel as the interior design fell short for us plus it doesn’t have lithium. If pleasure way or Roadtrek had a floorplan similar to the travato or Hymer we would make that purchase, particularly if we could herb 4wd all season outfitted. Then we could have luxury, quality and practicality all in one. Until then we’ll likely end up with the travato it Hymer even though it lacks the nice finishes of pleasure way.

    • @Ultramobility

      roger, thanks for sharing! sounds like you're narrowing it down. let's hope more coach builders start making all season vans. it would be a lot easier for everyone!

    Not sure why you didn't point out how the bed/head section can be raised up and locked to sit up in bed. There is also considerable storage under the beds and accessible from the back. Storage is a huge thing on Class B vans and I think this makes the ERA 170A stand apart from others.

    Hey Neil. Once again an excellent review. I really appreciate all you do for us that know very little about class B camper vans. I've seen other videos showing the poor construction on many class B's. I'm so confused as to which van to go with. I know it was a small thing but you'd think Winnebago would have fixed that shade especially when they knew you were going to review it. That tells me that maybe things you can't see are not up to their so called standards. Not saying that Winnebago is the only manufacturer that does this. Anyway thanks again Neil I'm your biggest fan and you are my "Rock Star".

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +6

      well many thanks again Patricia. I really appreciate the kind words. I do love doing this and I love that my viewers appreciate it. With regards to the Era keep in mind that I do surprise visits. I don't work with the coach builders because I want to see exactly what is being sold on dealer lots. If I told the coach builders ahead of time that I'm reviewing then they would send specialists out to ensure that everything is fit and proper. this isn't what I want. I want to see exactly what is being sold on the lots. I suppose in the future I may work with coach builders directly but I prefer this method. plus I get to speak with the sales people and get the real skinny on what's going on in terms of what's selling and what's not.

    Another great review Neil. Time and time again I'm so grateful that you not only point out the good things about the RV's but also the things that are not so good and that potential buyers should be aware of please keep doing this. I'm also very pleased that now you show the price how many people it seats how many people at sleeps right at the beginning of every video please continue doing this as it is extremely helpful. Lastly what kind of camera are you using your camera work is excellent. Keep up the good work.

      hi may channel - well thank you very much. it is nice to hear when people find my videos useful. i try to keep my reviews honest pointing out both the good and the not so good. i am not sponsored unlike many other RUclips channels. It is a peeve of mine to see RV "reviews" from life style channels that are sponsored by a coach builder. They never make it clear in the video that they are sponsored. In my book it is dishonest and viewers have a right to know.

    I would also rid of the tv in the kitchen. I also hope they have an option of either have the jump seat or have a set of cabinets with perhaps a surface that can be used as a table. I hope in the future, designers of b or b+ rv will incorporate a modular section in the van, i.e. a space that can be use either for jump seats, couch, additional drawers/cubby /storage/table/ bed or just an empty spot... depending on the buyers' need.

    • @Ultramobility

    Great review as always, personally the only Era I could see myself having is the 170M with the Murphy bed. I travel alone so all of the other models with the dedicated seating up front would be a waste of space for me.
    The tank capacities seem to be excellent except for the black tank which is severely limited but strangely enough, the 170M get's a huge one but then it get's shortchanged on the propane capacity!
    A B M X
    Freshwater Tank Capacity (gal.) 25 25 44 25
    Holding Tank Capacity - Black/Gray (gal.) 8/26 9/19 22/25 9/19
    LP Capacity (gal.) 16 16 9.5 16
    If I were to get a Winnebago it would either be a Travato 59G (2019) in the B class or a Navion 24D in the C class.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +2

      yes it's strange that the black tank on the 70a is so small. not much larger than a cassette toilet!

    Thanks for your honesty re the construction, certainly helps my education as I contemplate a future purchase. You only briefly mentioned the solar, and I would like to know, in future revues, what he solar can actually do. Looks this one doesn't do cooking or heating? Maybe just refrigerator and lightning?
    Thanks for your eye for beauty, on the surface and underneath!

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +1

      hi Charlie - the solar helps to keep the coach batteries topped off. everything in the coach that runs off dc power like lights, water pump, dc tv, etc. run off the batteries when not plugged in. if you have a large inverter like I have then you can run your ac appliances off the batteries as well so that might be your laptop, microwave, etc.

    owning a 2016 Era for the last couple of years I know just what your saying about attention to detail.. There are many things I like about my 170 x and being on a sprinter chassis gives me a great platform, but each year I make small changes and upgrades.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад

      hey ed! I I like the 70x layout better than the 70a. i almost purchased a 2014 70x. I had the paperwork done and everything. The sprinter chassis is very good and candidly there are many things about the era that are exceptional. the main problem i have with Winnebago is the 1 year warranty. they need to step up and give buyers at least a 3 year warranty.

      Ed: have you had any issues with your macerator pump? I have a 2017 Era 170x and have had my rig in the shop now 4 times; 3 of which they have had to replace the macerator pump. I think I have a lemon Era and now have a legal firm representing me.

    Thank you. I find it very refreshing that you test and don't sell. It is not always the way with American testers. It is probably unrealistic, but I would LOVE to see you test European RV's in Europe and hear your opinion. It seems as if they are more expensive in the States.

      thank you very much daseteam! i would love to someday test rv's in Europe. maybe that will happen. RV's here in the United States are more expensive. some of that is because more expensive components are used and some of that is because the coach builders here can charge more. thanks for your comment!

    3 Point Seat Belts will not help or work properly with the sides way seating. It is better to only have lap belts. The review was great. Showing the way you think is wonderful. A no TV option would be better for most vans, We all have laptops and tablets now.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +1

      i'm not sure i agree with that... i don't think 3 point seat belts would be any worse for a passenger sitting in those side seats than a simple lap restraint especially in a side collision situation. if its true then the entire concept of a side-facing seat is just wrong and needs to be taken out 3-point seat belt and all. agree with you on a no tv option. would be nice not to have to look at the bare mounting brackets or stands if you decided to remove the tv on your own.

    I wish Winnebago would revive the Rialta QD floorplan on the Sprinter Chassis.
    I don't know if I could protect my grandkids from pinching thier hands or fingers on those bathroom doors. I most likely would be sitting in the driver seat and hear a scream. This is a deal killer.
    If I could I would by your Pleasure way Ascent.
    Great informative video!

      hi manuel - as a kid i loved the look of the Rialta going down the road. it was sleek and didn't look like your typical rv. The QC floorplan was cool as were all the rialto floor plans but you're right in that the qd had the bed up front like the 70a. in many ways the layout of the qd was more practical that the 70a. thanks for taking me down memory lane!

    I toured this RV at the Seattle RV Show. Not sure what they were thinking plopping the TV right there on the counter. I like the twin bed setup but how would you make the beds with the way the mattresses are arranged? I felt this van cut some design corners for sure.

    One factor you leave out is cost. I own a Winnebago ERA 70A and it is true the warranty is only one year, but it is a good warranty. I do wish their fit and finish was better. However, Winnebago has stood behind everything that needed fixing. You will pay $35,000.00 to $100,000.00 more for a Pleasureway or Roadtrek and Airstream. I can do a lot of upgrading on my own (if needed or wanted) for that kind of money. For example, I did a foam upgrade on my ERA 70A mattress less than $500.00. I did a Suspension upgrade to match Airstream for $3000.00 I am $30,000.00 to $95,000.00 ahead in savings. This is a fact you seem to avoid in your discussions.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +1

      yes that's true what you say. i would think that most people don't have the stomach for these kinds of projects though wouldn't you say? i just want people to have the facts and then they can make informed decisions like yourself.

  • @jackcondrey8264
    @jackcondrey8264 6 лет назад +2

    I agree with your assessment of the Winnebago ERA “A”. It has so much potential but fumbles in the quality department. However, one of its nice features you failed to mention is the slide out storage drawer under the rear bed ( accessible from the rear doors). I believe this storage is also accessible from the bedroom by lifting up the back half of the bed. At least that’s what I saw in previous years models. The ERA has some of the best storage for a B van. In spite of its many nice features, I would be frustrated by its lack of durability. Have you ever heard the saying, “Good quality, low price, great service: choose any two!” It’s virtually impossible for a business to deliver all three, many only deliver just one. Winnebago’s price was relatively good. It lacks quality and service.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +1

      yep you're right i did neglect to mention the storage below the beds. i pinned a comment to the top of this video from another viewer that points this out and i thank you for pointing it out as well. i'm glad to hear you point out service. many buyers don't think about service: service from the coach builder but also service from the dealer and service as it relates to complicated systems in the rv.

    Thank you!. I really have learned a lot since joining your channel just a few months ago. You really notice details that would matter to most owners who once the newness wears off find troublesome. One can’t understand that if the manufacturers encourage their employees to use their products and submit feedback, why they would get so many things wrong. Perhaps the bean counters and project managers win out and don’t camp or glamp.
    I would really love to hear your thoughts and a review if possible on the Airstream Interstate. While I believe you intentionally focus on more affordable units, one begins to wonder if these high-end units have the extra quality, even if some odd nuances in design.
    Cheers and thanks again for your work and efforts to bring us such informative free advice.

      wow. well many thanks Fred and CJ. I work hard to create the videos for this channel and it is praise like this that keeps me rolling late at night. Rest assured the Interstate is top of my short list for a review. In the meantime check out this review from smedsters: ruclips.net/video/oSC_vzifwjY/видео.html

    • @fredandcj8681
      @fredandcj8681 6 лет назад +1

      Ultramobility Thanks Neil. Yes I have watched Smedsters reviews which is why I am yearning for a bit more independent review of the Interstate. It is helpful to learn the nits and picks from him, but, I sense there lacks a good relationship with the local Airstream dealer; as many of the faults he cites in this and later videos could rather easily be rectified without becoming such big bones of contention. Yes the $165K + price tag sets ones’ expectation very high and we don’t want to feel foolish after the purchase as though we were fleeced. But, I am more curious about how you would compare this luxury van to others in it’s same class. There certainly is a level of esteem driving an Airstream, but there needs to be an equivalent level of satisfaction to support that.
      P.s., I have just retired and am focusing on the new Mercedes Sprinter chassis; but I expect any coach build on the newer chassis to be similar to current builds, with the added updates to engine, transmission and chassis technology, all of which looks good, especially the gas version. I had not even thought I would be interested in the gas versions until you provided valuable insight into the future viability of diesel and how the difference in performance has really narrowed. So, it might be that I need to wait for the 2019/2020 models on the new Sprinter chassis to appear and see how the coach builders integrate into the new design. :-)

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад

      Fred, the one thing to consider with regards to gas and diesel is the occc (occupant and cargo carrying capacity. I need to find out what the specs are for the new gas engine coming out from mbz on the sprinter. i know that the occc for promasters are pretty low - a lot lower than the diesel sprinter. i will do a review of the interstate. i'm thinking of videoing soon (like next week!)

    Great review! We would consider getting one because of the price point, but that TV in the galley is very awkward, and nonessential in our opinion. We agree with you on that marine sink. Also, way too many parts that will break, no thanks. Get what you pay for. We are leaning pretty close to the LTV Unity TB. We also love the Pleasure Way Plateau TB, but concerned about the lack of basement storage. We are going full time for an extended time so the Unity might be our sweet spot. Our only concern with that choice is no lithium batteries, as we want to do a lot of boondocking. Would love your battery analysis. Thank you!

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +1

      hey there. you don't need lithium batteries and can get along quite well without them. Lithium helps if you have large power draws like running a microwave or coffee pot and also recharging faster. but if these things are less important to you then lead acid batteries will work just fine for you.

    • @itsalovelyride8559

      Ultramobility Well that settles a few things, as those items we can live without. In fact, we’ll probably remove the microwave for added storage. Thanks for your insight Neil. Hope to see a LTV Unity 24TB review from you in the future. 😊

    Another good review, Neil. My take-away is that Winnebago really needs to: 1) Pay some attention to quality control (e.g. that MCD shade, the unfinished curved bit of cabinetry down by the bed), 2) Make some better design decisions (e.g. the TV whose stand is embedded in the kitchen counter, that bathroom door, the sideways jumpseat with no shoulder belt), 3) Up their build quality in general (stick framing and staples in a "luxury" van like this - which is OK in a van at the Travato's price point, as long as good QC is done, but not this one).
    This RV is a non-starter for me.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +1

      yep. they need to decide what kind of company they are: are they the price leader? if so stop trying to build glitzy vans like this and build better quality ones at a lower price point. are they trying to be a premium brand? then offer a 5 or 6 year warranty and do better design and quality control. they seem a bit confused at the moment and that confusion is showing up in their product lines.

    • @DavidHuffTexas
      @DavidHuffTexas 6 лет назад +2

      Wonder if they think of themselves as the General Motors of the RV industry ? "Look! We're so big we can be all the things! A price leader, AND a premium brand, AND a technology leader, AND..." But that usually just ends up being a mess.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +1

      yes i'm sure there's truth to that statement! a well run company, no matter how large it gets knows what kind of company it is. take apple for example. they have always been and still are a premium brand. they are not product leaders with the newest bells and whistles- they leave that to Android. They aren't the low cost leader either. they are premium and their whole company is built around that.

    This van is like Lipstick on a Pig. It’s infuriating (in any industry) when they try to sell you something premium that isn’t. It’s deceptive and that irks me. Granted a 100K isn’t bad for any MBZ chasis, but I really don’t like this van. If I was going for a twin bed van I’d go for the Travato 59K. Other than the Travato I don’t like any Winnebago products. I really like the Travato now that it has the Pure 3 lithium. It’s hard to believe this is the same manufacturer. The Era and the Revel are terribly disappointing. Uggh. Thanks for keeping them honest. Awesome video as always. PS I just read your written review and a 1 year warranty is despicable. Clearly they don’t stand behind their products. The fact that the shade was broken tells you the whole story of this van! Go Hymer 😀.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +4

      i'm all for a nice finish but coach builders have to remember the fit part as well. Having high gloss cabinetry and imitating the look and feel of a $168k Airstream Interstate can be dangerous - especially when you are using stick framing, staples and only giving a one year warranty. i hope this practice stops in the industry. just my opinion.

    • @benvernick
      @benvernick 6 лет назад +2

      Ultramobility completely agree. When you think of Airstream the first thing that jumps to mind is quality. And the pride they take in the products is evident. I love their travel trailers as well. I am not that familiar with the Interstate have you reviewed one? I’d like to see that. Think Airstream will ever make a campervan on the SWB of the Mercedes? I’d be very curious to see what they can come up with. They seem to be behind in the lithium and underhood generator market I hope that’s something they are working on.

    Thank you for another great review...
    Not sure what to make of Class B marketing. in a space constrained environment, multifunction areas are critical. Unless Winnebago is targeting this product to a customer who is stepping down from a larger RV,
    1) Trying to make a campervan a replica of one's home (multiple tvs, large refrig, permanent bed, etc) is a mistake
    2) What is the obsession with all the wood finishes? Wood trim could be used more sparingly. Greater functionality and less glam.
    3) More modular (plug /play options to meet varied customer tastes). Additional seat, additional storage, desk (with in-floor connectors ala minivan seats)
    4) Design one really good class b bathroom and use it consistently - YT Video 'A Large Bathroom in a Class B RV: Advanced RV Client Innovation'
    5) Tech enabled (good wiring, access points, etc.) - let the customer bring their own devices. Who wants to go camping to just sit in front of a TV?
    If the manufacturers could get past the old memes and simply get the basics right, the market could be better served.
    A) All internal plumbing
    B) Sleeping for 2 + optional extra
    C) Seating for 4 adults / children
    D) Serviceable bathroom
    E) Weight optimized
    F) Wired for latest technologies

      @anthonycbrown1952 6 лет назад +1

      @ Kelly Clark More choice is always a good thing but in a campervan where every pound of weight for furnishings results in less cargo carrying capacity, strong materials that balance weight and asthetics can mean the difference of fewer 'essential' (people, provisions, fuel, water clothes, camping gear, etc.) items one can take on their trip.
      The Poliform cabinets in the ERA are much lighter in weight than traditional wood and moisture resistant.
      Not sure who makes a dry bath in a Class B. - the real estate in the shell is limited.

    Another informative video. I'm not a fan of Winnebago products. They take too many cost cutting short cuts like staples and poor attention to detail, like that shade that is falling off the wall, all to keep costs down. I understand why they do it, lower prices compared to the competition, its just a turn off for me. In my case all that high gloss, that reflects so much lighting, is just a turn off that will end up as a headache if I look at it too long. I prefer low gloss or matte finishes.

I walked onto a Camping World lot and the 5 sales guys sitting in their golf carts did not even say hello. I suppose that was fine because I just wanted to step inside some RVs and see how they felt. Loose cabinet doors, cracked counters, literally smashed dinette tops, my mind was blown away at how bad these brand new units looked.

    I'm curious as to what your thoughts are on buying a Class B versus building your own. Hypothetically, what would you do layout wise and what compromises are you enduring now that you might not have to if you had the time and resources to DIY it? first of all, i have a hard time watching eamon & bec. you should watch dave2d - he roasts them in such a firey way it is delicious. Anyway. I would never do a DIY for a camper van build. I would not build my own house and I certainly wouldn't do one on wheels. These are complicated things with electrical, plumbing and hvac systems that need to be safe, efficient and serviceable. so that answers the first part of your question. the second part is more interesting. take a look at my "vans I like" playlist to see some layouts and designs that i find intriguing: ruclips.net/video/2i-OqFA11cU/видео.html I've logged your question for a potential future episode.

      Ultramobility I have watched Dave roast them and the Minimal Millenials and I find them exceptionally humorous myself. I like to look at things from multiple perspectives and I do appreciate your informative style for commercial builds along with other channels like Fit RV. The diy van lifers get my love too as well as those who roast them. I just find the more I research what’s commercially available and the cost I become more convinced for me that the right choice is to build my own. There are some fantastic models in Europe that would offer a lot more of what I’m looking for, but they just aren’t available here in the states. Hymer quality in North America just doesn’t seem to be that good yet and I don’t see any new mfrs. entering the marketplace. Anyway, I truly respect your opinion and thank you for taking the time to make the videos you do. Great channel!

    • @Ultramobility

      I most certainly didn't say it had "mouth watering build quality". I would never have said that because I know that Winnebago does not do high build quality. I said it was "mouth wateringly gorgeous". That's very different and in fact is the basis for my review. On the surface the Era I reviewed is very good looking but as I proceed to point out there are other quality issues and things behind the scenes like stick framing and staples that you need to be aware of.

      i don't have an answer for you. i suspect that the dove tailing is noticeable by buyers so they do it to look the part while stick framing and staples are behind the scenes and harder to notice. when this is done it's a way to try and fool consumers.

      I’ve only owned one Winnebago, and will never buy another. They are attractive, and more attractive because of their lower prices. But like many mass produced items, it comes at a sacrifice of quality. My experience was with a class A, and the assortment of plumbing, electrical and finish issues that kept reoccurring in multiple spots... bugged the tar out of me. And the complete lack of surprise from the dealership and service centers was also telling. When you turn off the water and it causes a pipe to come loose because they put almost zero sealant on the ends, at three am, with water spraying everywhere... and then it happens again in the kitchen a week later, and then again a month later at another point... I realized that the ENTIRE unit needed to be completely re-plumbed. The vacations ruined because of production quality was inexcusable. IMHO.

    Ultra, I been watching ye videos a bit now, I first thought you were a priest. I know maybe that's your uniform, but whew, I still think you're a priest every time I see it. I say get different uniform.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад

      first off thank you for watching my videos Takayama-san (I'm half Japanese myself). Yes it is my uniform of sorts. The only thing that makes me look like a priest is that darned silver microphone. I'd ditch it but it works too well! Before I was using a black microphone that blended in and I didn't look like a priest. sigh. oh well. maybe i should do a Super Chat competition like We're the Russos for my viewers to decide a new color for my uniform!

    the tv is placed in a bad location

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад

      it's silly place for the TV. maybe if it were mounted as a flip down under the cabinet above it would work or place it above the cab.;;;;;;;;;;.

    I WITH THESE HAD A '' FULL'' !!! ... SIZE '' ELECTRIC BED .... NOT '' QUEEN SIZE , .... DROP DOWN BED FROM THE CEILING
    IN THE REAR BED AREA .... SO YOU GAIN BENEATH. A LONG CLOSET OR STORAGE AREA, IN THAT '' HUGE ARA ''
    CONSIDER THE SHOE OR CLOSET OPTIONS OR BEDDING STORAGE ABILITIES ..... AND WINNEBAGO FOR 100,000 DOLLARS
    GET BETTER WINDOW CRANKS ... THAT LOOKS REALLY CHEAP AND EASILY BROKEN ... ALSO THAT T V IS IN AN AWFUL PLACE ....
    AND YOU NEED TO UPGRADE TO A BETTER DESIGN BATHROOM LIKE THE HYMLER

      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад

      hey Zoltan. i agree that $100k is a lot to pay for anything. the unfortunate thing is that here in the US we pay so much for camper vans as compared to Europe so $100k seems like a good deal. thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    Can't believe there are people who would pay 100,000 USD for something that's constructed this poorly.

      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад

      i think they are improving slowly. i hear they will start offering better warranties (more than a year) on their coaches built with the Volta system - but then again they will be charging $30k more so they'll be priced more like a PW or RT.

      oh dear. i think perhaps I was too harsh on the 70a. sometimes i can't help myself and have to point out things that others might gloss over. i hoped you watched till the end??

      yeah. they have better QC than some coach builder and that isn't saying much.

    The placement of that TV is a design deficiency. For ppeople who are downsizing or living a minimalist life, TV’s are not necessary and wen you go to beautiful sights why the TV??? And the build quality of that van is dodgy...I will NOT pay 100K for that van.

    • @Ultramobility
      @Ultramobility  6 лет назад +2

      you know i tend to agree with you here. i'd take that tv off of the kitchen counter and just leave the one in the lounge. i mean honestly how many people are watching that much tv when they are camping?

    • @jimbotheassclown
      @jimbotheassclown 6 лет назад

      lol please your going to be spending a lot of time at truck stops or wally worlds driving across the country to get to those "beautiful sights" your going need a tv becuse watching lot lizzards and Walmart troglodytes gets old real fast.

    • @Erin-Thor
      @Erin-Thor 6 лет назад

      jimbotheassclown - Killjoy! Watching Walmart troglodytes is half the fun of going to Walmart! LOL! Edit, But yes, putting the TV in a spot where it permanently blocks your side view... not smart.
