One of the best holidays I’ve ever been on was this year when we hired a boat and went up the Shannon and on the lakes, there’s a few pubs and shops and sights and there were loads of lads goin off the boat getting pissed in the pub and having a few cans on deck.

Almafi Coast! :-) Amalfi lads - have been twice and will go again some day soon. Expensive but worth every euro! If you like the cliffs of Moher you'll love the cliffs along the Amalfi Coast and swimming in sea water the temperature of a warm bath back home! Fill your bellies with food and fall back to your hotel full of cheap (but delicious) local beers. Unforgettable!!!
What you guys don't understand is Dublin zoo is one of the biggest in europe 😂, and don't forget not everybody wants to get fucking shit faced like Johnny smacks, some people get a thrill of exploring especially the fit ones who don't get chub rub on their thighs, us Irish have the mistake of thinking that everything has to revolve around drink

Our bus got into a bull standoff with one of those tacky Paddywagon's for about twenty along The Way. Tour guide went into Monk's Bar(near mouth of Galway Bay) which was nice establishment for a fifteen bathroom and drinks. Bartender guy was a total amadan but I understand he doesn't want tourists. That's fine as it was a random for guide to go in and ask. His attitude toward us was cordial at best and I took it as a slight. Also, in Dub went into a Centra(?) along O'Connell near GPO and made a mistake about que. Stood next to elderly couple at cashier and then went to stand DIRECTLY behind waiting. Elderly husband kept looking at me as if I was going to rob them but I, nor he didn't say a word. I guess I was being rude and inappropriate not knowing appropriate protocol and for that I apologize. Guess I needed to find rope and stand ten feet behind all for some postcards. The stores need aerials of Dublin for these. Also, wanted to see An Garda Siochana crest on Garda kid about twenty years old. He wasn't very friendly but found Garda chap in Waterford that was a good sport and actually placed cap on my head for pics. Didn't expect that much but friendly. To me, the country and the people are beautiful. Since I'm of heavy descent, find their features beautiful but don't want to stare. Good family values people that are overall friendly but in a reserved manner. Motorways are very good shape and little, if any litter despite many areas of Dublin looking shabby. I preferred Galway and just the quaint country towns. Contae Kerry with the mountains and the lone one or two houses with few neighbors looked wonderful. Saw some natural blond guys and yes, gingers and mostly slight builds of average height. A very proud people like anyone else. Political graffiti was shocking to see although I shouldn't be surprised but for some that don't know the abbreviations or murals should keep their eyes open and mouth shut as any comments can be interpreted in a surprising way given her raw history. Disdain is palpable if the skin is slightly scratched if you wade into that pool. Keep in mind it's always the best swimmers that drown. My studying the language long ago made me wish I continued learning it. Thankfully, it survives and should be primary. I'm not familiar with the varying accents as anyone from their native country can ascertain. However, their variations were noticeable for such a small country. Beautiful cemeteries of an ancient land mixed with modernity. To me, the country is like made from Heaven and they're a laidback, generally very polite people that want you to know their history which is largely promoted by the tour. I enjoy your skits and new terms like "shift". lol. I guess I'll never understand in your other teen disco skit the shoulder tap until I saw one of your countryman's comment and a return. Your other lads like Cahill and the Fups with that accent in the Garda pullover is funny. Loved your Tipp episode. I didn't see any inebriated people despite one lad trying to tell me his life story in a Killarney pub men's room and how much he wanted to travel back to America. Drinkers? Yes. But I saw reserved people but you know your country much more than I do. His buddy apologized to me which was appreciated but not necessary. Loved the food! Good value in Euros and the soda breads all fresh and the coddled cream!
I don't think many view Irish for their cuisine but people will be very pleased. Irish salmon, beef, spuds you can taste are of the land and sea. Was emotional for me in very private moments given the history and what she's endured. The stone walls to nowhere and the mass graveyards of such beauty and horror.

Been there three times and I know when I am in a tourist area and not. Saw all I wanted to see in Dublin, the rest I enjoy in bits of a time in the southwest. My best times and meals were random in pubs we stumbled on. I did not realize my presence as an American could offend. I've never ordered less than a pint and usually a bit of whiskey to boot and always tip, regardless the custom. I'm a bit offended. I did not know there were all these rules I needed to follow as an American. My family is from Ireland and I will visit as I please. Knowing people are watching me and judging me is a bummer, but piss off. No one has ever pushed my euros back across any bar counter. This was a real bummer to listen to. We were just there in April.
No-one is watching and judging you - I work with folk and meet many U.S visitors, Canadians, Chileans, Germans, people from all over the world. All nice people and lovely to meet them. This video does not represent the view of the majority of Irish people. It's a crock of turgid dung.
They are comedians, don't take it personally. I worked in a hotel in Dublin where we had a lot of Americans, did have to stop them a few times from trying their Guinness immediately. It didn't irritate me. They just didnt know any better. We are fond of Americans in Ireland, we do think that you talk about loud and we do enjoy teasing the shit out of ye too. Remember there is plenty to tease Irish people about too. Again don't be annoying yourself by taking this podcast to heart.
