One of the most important DHAMMA talks to hear. I had to watch it 10 times for it to sink in. And thank you Ajahn Brahm for clarifying the Suttra and presenting it in a way I can understand.

Sadhu sadhu! Great sermon. Dear, devotees, I suggest you to some sermons. Who did by enlighted Sri Lankan bhikkhu 30 years ago about enlightenment/ nibbana. So you can find them from RUclips. "Nibbana - the mind stilled" by bhikkhu Katukurunde Nanananda. 🙏

Yep. She wanted so badly to reconcile having wordly love with Buddhism that she forgot that love is just another hindrance to total deathless happiness. I used to make this mistake too. Because the problem isn't that wordly love is a hindrance, the problem is that we mistake this fact for a call to abandon wordly love too early. Every attachment has a time and a place to be cut through. If you love someone and you have really bad habits such as aggression and greediness, you don't go and try to cut your attachment to your loving spouse first. No! What a mistaken idea! First, you abandon greediness and cut your bonds to greediness. Then you abandon your aggression (or vice versa) and cut your bonds to aggression. Id say start with aggression, then greediness, and then... Who knows. But cutting your loving attachment to your hubby is most likely not the first priority of a laywoman or layman. Our bad deeds are great and loving someone never is the greatest. What are you? Some kind of holy man?
So, her confusing came from prioritization. Black and white thinking. The Path of our beloved Siddharta Gotama is the Middleway indeed. Getting upset because of the nature of loving marriages in the worldly sense isn't the middle solution. Just prioritize and you'll see there's no need to worry about it perhaps even until after you've become a stream-enterer.
      Sadhu sadhu sadhu!

Stop spreading lies, fool. The Buddha was silent on Soul or No Soul. He was silent on God or No God. Get it straight
