I think we actually ARE talking about the Berenstain Bears. The singer refers to the Mandela effect in the start of the video i.e. a phenomenon where a significant amount of people collectively misremember something that's common knowledge.
Most people claim that the Berenstain Bears actually are called the Berenstein Bears. This has led certain people to propose that our universe at a certain point in time has merged with a parallel universe where the Berenstain spelling is correct, leading to a lot of people still remembering the Berenstein spelling as the correct one.
The singer sings about someone stuck in this new, merged universe, longing to go back to the old universe where everything was alright and where the Berenstein spelling was correct.

@@GuitarBeast-xp8dpmore specifically, the song refers to false memories. This is why it’s one of my favorite songs.
The subject of the song wonders if his memories of a failed relationship being a good relationship we’re just false memories, just like many people falsely remember the Barenstain Bears being spelled “Barenstein.” He then settles on the determination to believe that these memories of a perfect, infinite relationship must not be false, but rather that they just happened in some alternate universe.
