I have a theory that Wanda is like Ariel in The Little Mermaid where she wants something so bad that she makes a deal with the devil to get it but doesn't realize how much it actually costs
You missed a big reveal. When Wanda asks "How do you know about ultron"-she is confirming that she is fully aware of reality, and is actively working to delude herself into managing this false reality. And that moment of being brought back to acknowledge reality is what caused her to see vision's true form until she could force herself back into the happy fake world she has created. So it's not a case of repressed memories exactly, she does still have all those memories and can recall them at any point, she just actively chooses to ignore them. It's kind of like a person seeing a stranger being violently attacked and murdered while screaming for help, but the person witnessing it rather than calling police says "not my problem" and goes back to what they were doing, actively pushing the thought out of their mind. It does lend a lot more credence to the "this is all wanda's choice, and fully under her control" belief. Plus, in the comics, mephisto wasn't controlling her to make the kids, she stole (accidentally) two fragments of mephisto's soul that he was searching for and imbued them into herself to create the twins. He didn't make her do it, he didn't even want it-he wanted those fragments collected and returned to him as they were, not "in human form" (though he had no issues sacrificing the children in merging them with him so he could get his soul fragments back). So he might be involved, but more likely in a case of "i know she stole them, how do i get them back now?"
Right I feel like he know what’s going on I mean he part robot after all he can’t just “die”and in the end he looks scared out of his mind I feel like he showed her his dead corpse to make her snap out of it I mean if I was dead I wouldt want someone playing with my dead body for their AU
This show rewards people with patience and I’m all for it. Loving every minute and I’m sure even those people who complained finally enjoyed this episode
Throwing my two cents out there: the look Elizabeth Olson has when she yeets Monica doesn't strike me as surprise. More like panic: she just threw someone through the neighborhood, and lost her composure/control in the her environment. She could get caught if she gets too lost in her anger, so she had to restore the walls and gates etc. before vision gets too curious (see earlier in that sequence of events, episode 3, he says something is wrong here so she knows that he knows something isn't right).
The field outside the town is hexagonal, exactly like the field of a standard broadcasting tower/antenna. Broadcasting tower antenna have a particular range, called cells. Multiple cells ensure that each point of the land has network coverage, and the most efficient way this is achieved is through HEXAGONAL CELL SPLITTING. So if it doesn't have any comic book connection, then it's just a reference to this.
I believe that Wanda doesn’t want to leave this imaginary world she’s created because this is the only way she could be with Vision taking in consideration that in reality he’s unfortunately dead.
I liked how she matured..From graduate assistant to full fledged Doctor while retaining a little snark. Like when the guy says "That's highly classified " She remarks with the "So you didn't see anything" smart pick up with a sprinkle of snark.
Dottie not being on the whiteboard can be explained actually! the whiteboard scene was shown before Dottie’s character appeared, when episode two “broadcasted”. When Agent Woo wanted to send a message to Wanda, Darcy said something like “Wanda’s interacting with a new character”, which is Dottie. That’s why they couldn’t profile her before and put it up on the whiteboard, because her character hadn’t appeared yet.
90% sure that while Wanda was overcome with grief over Vision's death, someone (probably Agatha Harkness) exploited her weakness and controlled her mind to make her do this.
“We don’t have to stay here. We could go wherever we want.” - Vision “No, we can’t. This is our home.” - Wanda No one is commenting on this: she says they CANNOT LEAVE, likely because if he leaves he will die. Also in episode 5 trailer when vision crosses the border he falls, I believe that's because "reality" catches up to him
I thought it was interesting how in this episode the scene with Jimmy on the radio saying “who is doing this to you?” and Wanda reacting to it then cuts to the hydra watch commercial. Almost like as if wanda was fighting for control over the show and wasnt able to answer him but instead answered him by showing a hydra commercial. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's too on the nose of its just hydra all over. We've had enough of them for the time being and there are way better and more cosmic enemies for us to focus on for a while. Hydra being as obvious as the commercials telegraphing who the real bad guys are would feel super weak.
Just pointing the obvious That was Vision's CORPSE Just like Wanda is using real people to act out her fantasy She's also using his dead CORPSE in her sitcom bubble
The fact that Wanda said “my husband and his indestructible head” in the first episode makes the ending even sadder. I really hope Wanda isn’t behind everything it would make her so disturbed
@@miked1913 it’s equal to losing ur brain actually lol. The stone was basically what gave him “life” and not only was it destroyed but she her self actually destroyed it.
She says “I have everything under control” honestly I’d be pissed if they try to say she ISNT behind everything. So far it deff seems like she knows what’s going on and that she is 100% in control of her actions. She says it herself. She is disturbed and imo she’s slowly going down an evil type path and is showing she’s willing to go to any length to continue on with this fake “reality” she created.
Him looking like that doesn't mean she's actually puppeting his dead corpse. There's a chance it's just in that moment her dreamed of "vision" of vision momentarily got switched to him being Dea because that's where her thoughts had went thanks to Monica "waking her up". Like I don't really think she went out in the world 5 years after his "death" found him and put him up in the car driving miss daisy style. She's likley only imagined him existing as another set dressing of her world but we shall have to see. Could literally be the first thing with her running round with his dead corpse lol
@@Flowerz__ I think she THINKS she's in control and for the most part is but she's got to be getting manipulated from behind the scenes a bit specifically with the Agnes neighbor lady likley to be the witch from the comics. I suspect it's her and possibly others who are TRULY behind it and may be a ploy to get her "children" she's conjured up.
You missed one at the very end. The final shot of Wanda and Vision sitting down with their newborns to watch TV, Wanda is looking at the TV, while Vision is actually staring directly at the camera.
Sadly that's not the only thing Woo brought back from his previous appearance, he mentioned softball season is over when asked if he needed to contact anyone... so yep a bit more continuity along with a gut punch on showing how much of a lonely guy he is.
The only thing wrong with this episode was that it’s too short and that I have to wait another week for the next one. The only two things wrong with episode is-
My theory: I think Wanda was trying to revive Vision, she reached out to someone, and that someone turned out to be Agness, who stayed in Westview, so Wanda went there bringing Vision's dead body with her. Agness convinced her to create the pocket dimension as a way to amplify her power so it is strong enough to bring Vision back. But instead, it is just a ruse for Agness/Mephisto to control her, and extract something from her, could be literally her sons, or maybe her sons are a representation of her powers, and they would try to convince her to give them away (making them grew up and moved out town for example).
When she says “This is our home” that’s when you know that Scarlet Witch has lost it, and because she’s wielding Chaos Magic (spoilers).... shit is gonna hit the fan. Let’s put it this way, in the comics the X-Men and the Avengers gather together to discuss whether Wanda should be allowed to continue to live since she was slowly going crazy while still being the most powerful being in the universe. Let’s see what the MCU does with the story arc. If y’all thought Phases 1-3 were amazing, then strap yourself in!

This is the Mandalorian of the MCU, as it has given us content that we were desperate for, its expanding upon the story that we currently know and all the while it is setting up the entire future of the MCU! Imagine doing ALL of this while being it's own amazing story!
I noticed this thing where in each episode, some of the other character breaks character, and every time the break is more extreme. The first episode Mr and Mrs Hart ask personal questions about Wanda and Vision, and Mrs Hart seemed freaked out under that smile when saying "Stop it!". I'm thinking that Wanda lost control because of the personal questions, and Mrs Hart knew that Wanda was controlling them and was actually trying to tell Wanda to "Stop it" (stop choking her husband) Second episode Dotty breaks character, and this time it's a more intense step into reality than the previous episode. Finally Monica breaks her character completely and references Ultron.
“It’s all....Wanda..... Agreed! She’s lost her mind to the grief and can’t cope with her life of death and destruction. No other influences but her own mechanizations
When something enters the Wandaverse it is changed to fit in. When it is expelled, it remains as it was inside. So, does that mean Vision will be "Real"/alive, if he exits?
I think they emphasize this exact quote you made here in episode 4 when they showed the beekeeper rope being pulled out back into reality with color on it and the sword agent still had the 70s suit and obvious new powers..i think your right....the new trailer shows vision dropping but they did it on purpose to get us talking about if he's dead or not....i think the power he put in trying to get thru the force field caused him to drop from exhaustion
I mean, that’s an inanimate object though. And Monica is alive. We still don’t know 100% if he wouldn’t just exit with a modified body and soul leaves the body. Who knows?
And dont forget it looks like when people entering wanda "dome" people seems to get brainwash for some time like they feel like a "doll" before they finally realize the situation the in or "awake"
@@PlayaP69 well... Yea of course... Lol that's kinda a given but as to the rest that's the real questions. Is she puppeting a dead vision body around with her powers making him "look" alive? Is there someone else that's influencing her decisions /coaxing her towards staying in this world? If these people do exist what's their reason? Is it the children? Those types of things are what's really of concern. I think the obvious Wanda is upset and having a bit of a mental breakdown isn't pretty straight forward but the rest is definitely still to be determined.
This episode wouldn’t have this much of an impact and be this good without the first 3, this episode is so good because we finally get some answers that we’ve been waiting for
“WandaVision” is a comedy suspense mystery show. Common tropes of Mysteries would suggest that the 1st reveal “its all Wanda” is inaccurate. Later the mystery will reveal the true villain in the end of the third act. I’m holding out hope it’s Mephisto! What do you make of the theory that Wanda is being possessed by him? Or that Vision makes it out of the dome? (Seen in eps5 promo)
If you look at the timing of Wanda and Monica's conversation, it seems like as soon as Wanda kicks her out is around the same time Agnes and Herb go "back to normal" then Vision walks in. 🤔
Yeah I think you’re right. I think the episode 4 ending is trying to trick us into believing she is the villain. They are trying to trick us at every corner. Why would this be different? BUT they also do that with the devil references so which one is the trick? Wanda or Mephisto being the villain?
Here's a thought I didn't have until it was too late: Vision HAS been resurrected, and whoever is manipulating Wanda is making her see him as a zombie. Thoughts?
Wouldn't that mean the manipulator is attempting to drag her back to reality? That appears to go against what they're trying to do. Maybe someone else did it, or Wanda, possibly Vision did it to bring Wanda back to reality.
Here's what I think. Wanda happened to find vision's dead body, which suddenly triggered a whole wave of emotions and resulted in her creating this pocket reality. If someone IS manipulating Wanda, they might have had something to do with her finding the body. So if the body is "dead", she either just fixed the "computer" part of him, if not fix his physical body and the mind stone, or she's puppeteering the dead body, but then vision does seem to have some freedom in thought
That vision scene was insane. Everyone was thinking that vision was reborn or was well a vision. No one thought that wanda was waving his corpse around.
I remember reading somewhere that this was essentially written as if it was in fact a full length feature but, they wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to connect it to the concept of being watched on TV (to tie it to the obvious recurring theme) and thus the idea was born to make it a Disney+ series.
The whole finding the tv broadcast in the static was giving off a real "Contact" vibe. They solidify the hunch when they quote the scene. When jodie foster and her team first hear the signal: "Are we recording this?" "Never stopped."
Another fun Easter egg I noticed was at one point Darcy’s boss asked “Are we recording this?” and she replied “Never stopped” which is a reference to the Robert Zemeckis movie Contact.
Think about this, whenever you see the hexagon in the MCU it’s when they travel through a universe or galaxy. What if that’s what the hexagons in Wandavision are, just a symbol of moving through a new universe or a new time period
In Spiderman:Far Frome Home, Peter was asking Maria Hill where Dr Strange was. And Hill said 'He is not available'. Maybe he was try to reach Wanda. Sorry for bad English.
When Agent Woo takes out his business card he does a “card trick.” I keep feeling like this is going to have something to do with the Fantastic Four between the Cosmic energy and “Franklin” going through the tube.
I caught the name connection but the timing here wouldn't make sense. Unless she's been somehow brought through time, I think it is in fact a different character.
Nah. That would be so disappointing. I don't need anymore Heroes fighting Heroes while ignoring there are amazing huge villains they could actually be fighting.
No. She is a hero. She is being manipulated in this pocket dimension she has made, by Mephisto who is Dotty - the devil who runs the town and wants to absorb Wanda's children.
oh yes "multiverse of madness" I love the idea of Wanda just losing it...after all that she is been trough , I can empathize with this because I have had very severe trauma and from that I have mental illness" my husband died 2 years ago but Wanda literally felt her brother dying and saw her loved one die , who wouldnt go crazy?
I loved the slow burn sitcom episodes. Having no explanation about why they were there at first made all the weird out-of-place things seem so much creepier and more mysterious. I heckin love this show and can’t wait for the next ep to come out
I love that the MCU has been around long enough that they have a whole show in a completely different format. I love that it's not just a superhero action show and it has a comedy sitcom not even centered around their super powers mixed into it. I'm interested to see the future of the MCU exploring different genres.
Umm, so you missed Voodoo Child, the song at that end. "Maybe you need a refresher course." Wanda & Vision holding their children while the Hendrix classic song plays and of course, Voodoo would infer controlling or inflicting pain on someone else through dark/black magic.
If you notice the lyrics for the song are edited down to "I'm a voodoo child" and "If I don't meet you no more in this world then I'll meet ya on the next one." As if they're telling us Wanda (Voodoo Child) created a new world (Westview) to meet Vision who died in the real world.
Can we all just agree that, if in fact Wanda has been controlling Vision's corpse this entire time, the bedroom scene just became the most disturbing thing to have ever occurred in the MCU?
What did you think of the episode?

Ain't no shame in it.

OH YEAH!
Vision looked scared when Wanda says “we can’t leave”.
I was scared when this guy managed to find my mom
Right I feel like he know what’s going on I mean he part robot after all he can’t just “die”and in the end he looks scared out of his mind I feel like he showed her his dead corpse to make her snap out of it I mean if I was dead I wouldt want someone playing with my dead body for their AU
that would be fuck up if someone plays with your corpse i mean you will never know cause your death
I had the same thought
The field outside the town is hexagonal, exactly like the field of a standard broadcasting tower/antenna. Broadcasting tower antenna have a particular range, called cells. Multiple cells ensure that each point of the land has network coverage, and the most efficient way this is achieved is through HEXAGONAL CELL SPLITTING. So if it doesn't have any comic book connection, then it's just a reference to this.
Vision’s stone is also hexagonal. I wonder if there’s any connection there? I noticed it on the illusion box as well.
@Stephan Horbelt geez I thought I was the only one screaming “because hex magic! Duh...”

The thought that the townsfolk might be seeing vision's dead husk moving around rather than the 'live' version is so goddamn creepy!!
I believe that Wanda doesn’t want to leave this imaginary world she’s created because this is the only way she could be with Vision taking in consideration that in reality he’s unfortunately dead.
I also think that but maybe it’s that she wants to stay with vision in this peaceful reality

Good catch.

“No, we can’t. This is our home.” - Wanda
No one is commenting on this: she says they CANNOT LEAVE, likely because if he leaves he will die. Also in episode 5 trailer when vision crosses the border he falls, I believe that's because "reality" catches up to him
dude, this episode felt like it just confirmed everything for everyone who was too blind to get it
Ah, a fellow intellectual I see...

@@tikshankumaraubeeluck1814 I didn’t want to say it.... but I think so
The fact that Wanda said “my husband and his indestructible head” in the first episode makes the ending even sadder. I really hope Wanda isn’t behind everything it would make her so disturbed
To be fair his head didnt get destroyed, just had the stone pulled off. Equivalent to losing a nose IMO 🤷🏻♂️

Feels like revenge of the sith all over again lol

Let’s put it this way, in the comics the X-Men and the Avengers gather together to discuss whether Wanda should be allowed to continue to live since she was slowly going crazy while still being the most powerful being in the universe.
Let’s see what the MCU does with the story arc.

This show has already been EVERYTHING we needed AND more! Definitely an amazing story that's been keeping us guessing, and we are only 4 episodes in! This is the Mandalorian of the MCU, as it has given us content that we were desperate for, its expanding upon the story that we currently know and all the while it is setting up the entire future of the MCU! Imagine doing ALL of this while being it's own amazing story!
I imagine scene where Agnes and Vision talk
"Am I dead?"
"Why would you think that?"
"Because you are"
And instead of normal vision we see his corpse
Wow that would be even creepier than the one we already have
That would mean they pulled a hulk in the infinity war. And im all for it
Wanda controlling Vision's corpse to play her husband is the most disturbing thing that Marvel has done so far in my opinion.
I noticed this thing where in each episode, some of the other character breaks character, and every time the break is more extreme. The first episode Mr and Mrs Hart ask personal questions about Wanda and Vision, and Mrs Hart seemed freaked out under that smile when saying "Stop it!". I'm thinking that Wanda lost control because of the personal questions, and Mrs Hart knew that Wanda was controlling them and was actually trying to tell Wanda to "Stop it" (stop choking her husband)
Second episode Dotty breaks character, and this time it's a more intense step into reality than the previous episode.
Finally Monica breaks her character completely and references Ultron.
About the hexagons, Wanda spells are called hexes in the comics
“It’s all....Wanda.....
Agreed! She’s lost her mind to the grief and can’t cope with her life of death and destruction. No other influences but her own mechanizations
When something enters the Wandaverse it is changed to fit in.
When it is expelled, it remains as it was inside.
So, does that mean Vision will be "Real"/alive, if he exits?
Or maybe he'll drop dead when he leaves
I think they emphasize this exact quote you made here in episode 4 when they showed the beekeeper rope being pulled out back into reality with color on it and the sword agent still had the 70s suit and obvious new powers..i think your right....the new trailer shows vision dropping but they did it on purpose to get us talking about if he's dead or not....i think the power he put in trying to get thru the force field caused him to drop from exhaustion
yeah the bee keeper guy had a string attached and it changed and stay change in outside the city.
Monica: Its all Wanda?
Wanda: Always has been.
And yet it really isn't
To me it's the obvious. Wanda is upset/sad/devastated about losing her brother and Vision. So she creates a world, or pocket world, with Vision in it.
@@TJ.85 As much as it might be interesting it really makes for bad character development and writing if Wanda isn't doing this herself.

Mephisto is also my guess for the actual villain.
If you look at the timing of Wanda and Monica's conversation, it seems like as soon as Wanda kicks her out is around the same time Agnes and Herb go "back to normal" then Vision walks in. 🤔
i feel like they want us to think she’s the villains really hope she isn’t the villain
Don't you worry, she ain't. She isn't playing nice, but Wanda ain't the Big Bad of the show.
Yeah I think you’re right. I think the episode 4 ending is trying to trick us into believing she is the villain. They are trying to trick us at every corner. Why would this be different? BUT they also do that with the devil references so which one is the trick? Wanda or Mephisto being the villain?
She should be the villain because they trying to stop her happiness

@@adamwatkinsa.k.aadamw5956 that’s what they want you to think
Dead vision is fricken scary especially when his neck just turns to face her.
Wonder Man would be pretending to be Vision in the WandaVision Series
Here's what I think. Wanda happened to find vision's dead body, which suddenly triggered a whole wave of emotions and resulted in her creating this pocket reality. If someone IS manipulating Wanda, they might have had something to do with her finding the body. So if the body is "dead", she either just fixed the "computer" part of him, if not fix his physical body and the mind stone, or she's puppeteering the dead body, but then vision does seem to have some freedom in thought
It seemed to me like her grip on fake reality slipped just for a second. I think she's reanimating his corpse.
That was my thought exactly when she starts to diverge from the plan she sees messed up things.
That vision scene was insane. Everyone was thinking that vision was reborn or was well a vision. No one thought that wanda was waving his corpse around.
The production quality was amazing. Felt like 30 minutes straight from an MCU movie.
Yes!!. In which there is a hidden tv signal with the alien message.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Another fun Easter egg I noticed was at one point Darcy’s boss asked “Are we recording this?” and she replied “Never stopped” which is a reference to the Robert Zemeckis movie Contact.
Think about this, whenever you see the hexagon in the MCU it’s when they travel through a universe or galaxy. What if that’s what the hexagons in Wandavision are, just a symbol of moving through a new universe or a new time period
