It’s because most of us don’t listen to it on RUclips and have been listening to it before RUclips even existed. I’m only listening to it here this time because I haven’t seen the video in like 15 years.
@@konfusionxD Bingo man! Lol. People forget there are usually several "main" videos of all the famous songs on RUclips + plenty of "side" videos where people just make their own images and play the song. The Rolling Stones "Satisfaction" would probably have 20 billion views by now if it was played on YT in only one video.
If the song wasn't performed, it's because the group has a lot of internal issues. Based on what I read, I don't think they could have come together to perform this song in front of an audience.
@@zoo05zoo based on the comments about the "group" you would think the talent would be with more than just one person. Oh yeah, I love Naughty By Nature on the other hand. Treach felt like his friends bolted on E, so he befriended him etc and invited him down to Hip Hop Hooray shoot etc.
I’m a 60 year old white man and I listen to very little rap, but this song I absolutely love. I can listen to it over and over again. I think it’s one of the greatest rap songs that was ever produced and amazes me how fast these guys can sing this song.
I doubt that youre 60 above. Thats for stupid Kids, no oben above 60, hears this Bullshit music , eventuell Peoples above 20 hear this crap not! Dumb dump dump hooray ho hey
Hip Hop was art and it was genuinely enjoyable. I remember dancing with enormous pleasure to the powerfully infectious rhythms, beats that had likable melodies. The rapping was art. The human voice is an instrument, and in music the human voice is a melodious instrument. In this song, Hip Hop Hooray, from 38-48 seconds the rapping achieves something unprecedented-the human voice becomes a percussion instrument. It is electrifying. This song should be taught in schools for the advanced levels of artistry it achieves.
This was “the hip hop” of then yes it was great but hip hop always changes and eventually goes back to its roots there was prolly somebody back then saying this isn’t hip hop so enjoy every era because for now it’s still ours (black peoples) let’s not bash or compare the two better yet we should just appreciate it and take it for what it is and what it was our music
So many cameo appearances in the video Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Run-DMC, Spike Lee (who directed the video), 2Pac, Eazy-E, Da Youngsta's, and Fab 5 Freddy!!
go beyond the mainstream and there is a ton of terrific groups and solo rappers, in the mainstream there are a few however, such as kendrick lamar and tyler the creator
One of the greatest in hip hop history. Loved all the cameos too from Fab 5 Freddy Monie Love and Queen and Run D.M.C. and Easy E. too. Goes to show you the respect Naughty had. Treach and Vinnie!!! Two of the greatest!!!!! BONUS for those who don't know this little tidbit!!!!! Vinnie's cousin is Mike Tyson!!!!! LOL
"This aint got shit to do with shampoo, but watch your head & shoulder, brother older bold enough to fold ya, yo I told ya...." Treach super underrated....
these guys set the direction and trend of hiphop. I never understand why they aren't spoken about so much these days. This is legendary, as legendary as it gets in hiphop
As a kid in the 90s. I remember when I first fell with hip-hop. It was nice & smooth. I remember playing that like 50 times. Lol dancing to. I was just kid. Then outkast came my sister and I. Were mind blown. Now it's just so different. People laugh at me because I listen to. I really miss it. It's not the same anymore
Don't even let people make you feel bad for enjoying old school hip hop... I do the same. Mobb Deep, Tupac, Biggie, Naughty by Nature, Public Enemy, Outkast, DMX, Will Smith, N.W.A, Wu Tang Clan... just to mention a few but it's almost unbelievable how much diversity was there... each artist/group had a distinct beat and style of flow... Mumble rap would be the equivalent of everyone hearing Busta Rhymes or Bone Thugs and Harmony and then EVERYONE starting to rap like Busta. Teally, the beats and style of flow is everyone trying to do a Lil Wayne style or is it Migos who started the whole "I'm-so-high-that-I-can't feel-my-tongue" style of rapping. It's lazy and a shameless get-rich-quick culture with no love for hip hop.
Thing that is missing in hip hop now days is the flow between the vocalist and instruments. Rappers just don’t flow like this anymore. Now the track dictates where the vocalist is going with the song instead of the vocalist dictating to the track where to go with the song.
Smooth it out now.....
this track should have 100 million views...
how can hip hop fans not listen to this?
When I saw the 4 million views I thought the same thing, it was the hip hop anthem of the 90s, 4 million is embarrassing..
