At 7:00 they show a glass case with a pair of red, white, and blue wrestling boots inside. Those are the boots that the Dynamite Kid "passed down" to Chris Benoit on an episode of Stampede wrestling in the late 80's. (the video of it is linked below) On top is a British policeman's "bobby" helmet and a framed picture that appears to be of Chris and Dynamite. What’s very eerie to me, is that these pictures were taken the day the bodies were discovered. It’s a very clean, well kept house. You take one look at these pics (with no knowledge of what’s happened) and you think “there’s no way something so brutal and tragic has just happened inside these wall. It’s also eerie knowing that in these moments: Daniel is face down in his bed. Nancy’s on the floor with a blanket on her, and her back broken. And Chris is in the gym room of his basement with a weight cable around his neck and has some weights on it.

And how the phone Chris used to text Chavo and the others his address was never found and was said to have been switched off according to police. Alcohol stays in the body for 48 hours. They died on Friday and late Saturday/early Sunday so by the time the autopsies were conducted on 6/26 all the alcohol was gone from their systems.

Pretty sure they did confirm him for CTE and I believe his death was one of the reason why CTE became more researched (along with other cases), they did also find a undiagnosed heart condition during his autopsy so strangely enough had benoit not did this his clock was already ticking (though would've died with a much better legacy)
It was confirmed by the Dr who discovered CTE himself that he had it. No question at all. This was the work of a disabled man. Not his fault at all. One day people will understand. It's just such a new subject that there is still stigma. I've had a few concussions in my life. I was in some car accidents & I was a pro wrestler from 03-04. Combine that with being born 4 lbs 4 oz & having congenital deformities on my lower back But I didn't know about until I hurt my back & you've got a recipe for pain & danger. I am a totally different person at 3 points in my life. There is pre age 25 when the brain front cortex hasn't developed yet. Post 25 when it has but it's healthy & then 31 when the symptoms changed my life. I'm 43 & the stuff that goes through my mind daily you don't want to know. Every time I see that movie Concussion... I go "Holy shiet... I UNDERSTAND THEM." It's something you either know... Or you don't know & I can't explain it but when your head hurts & you feel like your soul is leaving your body & this life isn't real... You start to think you're going crazy. Then it goes away & you're normal again but no one ever sees you like that because you run & hide in the bathroom or take a Xanax or something to make it go away. You're always afraid one day it's going to "win." As you get older it gets worse but Drs tell you there is nothing they can do. You feel helpless & all alone & no one wants to hang out with you because you are so hard to be around. Your personality changes. You require a ton of upkeep. No music or loud noises or bright lights etc. Sometimes you just gotta tell people to shut up or just walk away mid conversation because they are overwhelming you. I was never like that before. I would totally take myself out just to make it stop. I wonder how I'm going to make it 2-3 more years. Every time a year goes by I'm amazed at this point. So yeah... I'm sympathetic to Benoit.

the most chilling part is the search history on his computer, benoit searched the prophet of Elijah from the Old Testament regarding the resurrection of a young boy. I personally think there's some truth to that theory. The knife otherwise makes no sense, unless Chris was planning on using it somehow. I believe Daniel may have had it for protection. I don't know if they ever checked the fingerprints on the knife, but I imagine Daniel was aware of what happened. Given the timeline we know, Daniel was home at the time of Nancy's death, but may have been asleep. The neighbor, Holly Schrepfer, received a call on Friday night around 10:00pm. If this call was from Nancy, then she died between then and midnight, and a 7 year old boy is likely to be asleep during those hours.

Kinda a "mercy move" at his mind before take his own child live without pain. This case is such heartbroken, I don't think Chris do it in the middle of a rage attack, for me it's mostly the final result of deep depression, untrated and unknow dementia and a psychotic attack in the hours before his death, where he seen the death of their family as the only way out for all of them and their salvation (the internet search), maybe he didn't want to take his life alone and don't wanted to leave his family in pain if he took his life so he decides take their own family lives with him. I was 9 when this happened and I was very sad, this is why I tell my homies I love them every day, you never know what people are going threw now in days.

The woman's historic role as the homemaker was also respected, but also seen as a privilege for always having the comfort of home. Mix that with the aspects of society that are blatantly sexist against men, especially with the rise of a more matriarchal culture, and the plight of the working man is seen as nothing to write home about.

Well...when they found out about the crime and the calender on the desk says June 2007. I don't think we can ever know why he did it. The running theory is CTE brain damage. It can cause violent outbursts and his autopsy showed severe damage to his brain. Apparently he had been pretty violent with his wife before. Not sure about his kids. My guess is he got into it with his wife and either killed her out of rage or let it fester and attacked when she was asleep. Then killed his son thinking it would be best so he didn't grow up knowing what happened...just kind of impulse. Its said he looked up something related to resurrection of a young boy, so I'm guessing he felt serious remorse or guilt. Then finished himself off eventually.
This is why CTE, the depression and everything else with this case made sense as to why Chris did this. Because if he was healthy, in mind at least, this tragedy would never have happened. Yes Chris is a family annihilator. But I don’t view him like I do say John List who murdered his whole family on religious beliefs and then went into hiding for almost 15 years. Chris was legitimately sick because of his career and everyone paid the ultimate price for it.

To this day, still such a dark, horrific story. The reasons for which will never be fully known or truly understood, which makes it more shocking. I doubt wrestling will ever encounter a darker moment than this either.
Well, you can't say be unknown because there is kind of a big reason... So many blows to the head with the head butt off the top rope, constant chair shots, and years of steroid use up until his death. Even when you look at his last matches around the time of his death, you can see how horrible he was starting too look because his heart was taking had taking so much abuse over the years with his whole body. When he died, the autopsy shows his heart was so enlarged, so even if he didn't kill his family he would've still died due to the years of steroid use and many other drugs I'm sure along with taking so much head shots in the ring. People don't realize when your eddie Guerreros and chris benoits height, being 230 lbs of that much muscle at that height is not really realistic. And eventually, over time, with constant abuse of steroids, head shots to the head, WWE not taking this shit seriously when they fucking should've, things just finally caught up to him and the fact that he had such a fucked up brain of a 80 year old, everything was too late in my opinion.

Nancy always texted him saying he is never home even when he has time. On father's day she told you won't even bother to pick up your son's call. Nancy also told her sister back in 2002 if i ever get killed i want you to know that he did it. Chris was suffering from CTE and he suffered from paranoia. He bought an isolated house and told his neighbor and chavo to never tell anyone else about his house. Chris paranoia started getting so high that he thought someone was following him and he started taking alternative routes. People say it might be the killer but what if nancy was following him to know if he was cheating? Or perhaps someone who knows nancy?.... From the text messages i saw it looks nancy was scared chris was doing something behind her back. She went backstage sometime and she said i felt everyone is walking on eggshells around me. Perhaps not because Chris is cheating but because Chris told his close friends how nancy is acting and they felt uncomfortable around her. All of this contributed to the accident but on more thing is that one the week of the accident lots of chris and nancy friends died. Nancy told her neighbor while crying that chris was feeling that he doesn't have much time left and nancy felt same way. When i saw the amount of the people that died that week, i wonder if that already put more stress on chris and nancy. I think by this time Chris couldn't really take it anymore. Nancy told her sister she might discuss with Chris raising Daniel by herself. Did she? We won't know but we know is that swimming pool workers said they saw Chris and Daniel grilling food and nancy went shopping as well. The receipt was found later. Earlier this morning, after chris left doctors office he got on call with bob holly and he asked him if can join him tonight but bob refused saying that it would be better for chris and Nancy to have their time for themselves. Later that night Chris was on phone with chavo but Chris someone is ringing the door so he left chavo on line till the line went dead. Did nancy comeback? Why would she come back so late ? Did she invite someone for the dinner? Perhaps the close neighbor? We might never know but it feels like someone else was there. Most if the evidence proves that they invited someone. This person didn't kill them but they saw what happened from chris and probably panicked and left. Imagine if nancy came back and the neighbor was with her then they both talked to Chris about divorce and Chris got so angry that he killed nancy. The police said someone called the neighbors house that day. People think it was nancy was calling for help but i think if she wants to call someone she would call police. Chris called the neighbor but she didn't hear the call. He later texted her saying Daniel won't go horse camping next day. I believe that the neighbor knew that Nancy was died. When she got in the house to put the dogs away she got in the house to look inside and when she came out she was screaming Daniel is dead. What about Nancy? She already knew. Finally i believe Chris mentally suffered lots of problems and Nancy was overstressing him. RIP CHRIS RIP NANCY RIP DANIEL
Agree 100%. I absolutely loved Benoit before all this. He was one of my favorites of all time, but a man who kills his family and then himself erases all of his achievements and becomes scum at that point.

What’s very eerie to me, is that these pictures were taken the day the bodies were discovered. It’s a very clean, well kept house. You take one look at these pics (with no knowledge of what’s happened) and you think “there’s no way something so brutal and tragic has just happened inside these wall. Alcohol stays in the body for 48 hours. They died on Friday and late Saturday/early Sunday so by the time the autopsies were conducted on 6/26 all the alcohol was gone from their systems.

Benoit almost certainly had CTE. His finishing move was a flying head butt from the top rope afterall.
Pretty sure they did confirm him for CTE and I believe his death was one of the reason why CTE became more researched (along with other cases), they did also find a undiagnosed heart condition during his autopsy so strangely enough had benoit not did this his clock was already ticking (though would've died with a much better legacy)

I am a totally different person at 3 points in my life. There is pre age 25 when the brain front cortex hasn't developed yet. Post 25 when it has but it's healthy & then 31 when the symptoms changed my life. I'm 43 & the stuff that goes through my mind daily you don't want to know. Every time I see that movie Concussion... I go "Holy shiet... I UNDERSTAND THEM."
It's something you either know... Or you don't know & I can't explain it but when your head hurts & you feel like your soul is leaving your body & this life isn't real... You start to think you're going crazy. Then it goes away & you're normal again but no one ever sees you like that because you run & hide in the bathroom or take a Xanax or something to make it go away. You're always afraid one day it's going to "win." As you get older it gets worse but Drs tell you there is nothing they can do.
You feel helpless & all alone & no one wants to hang out with you because you are so hard to be around. Your personality changes. You require a ton of upkeep. No music or loud noises or bright lights etc. Sometimes you just gotta tell people to shut up or just walk away mid conversation because they are overwhelming you.
I was never like that before. I would totally take myself out just to make it stop. I wonder how I'm going to make it 2-3 more years. Every time a year goes by I'm amazed at this point. So yeah... I'm sympathetic to Benoit.

I personally think there's some truth to that theory. The knife otherwise makes no sense, unless Chris was planning on using it somehow. I believe Daniel may have had it for protection. I don't know if they ever checked the fingerprints on the knife, but I imagine Daniel was aware of what happened. Given the timeline we know, Daniel was home at the time of Nancy's death, but may have been asleep. The neighbor, Holly Schrepfer, received a call on Friday night around 10:00pm. If this call was from Nancy, then she died between then and midnight, and a 7 year old boy is likely to be asleep during those hours.

This case is such heartbroken, I don't think Chris do it in the middle of a rage attack, for me it's mostly the final result of deep depression, untrated and unknow dementia and a psychotic attack in the hours before his death, where he seen the death of their family as the only way out for all of them and their salvation (the internet search), maybe he didn't want to take his life alone and don't wanted to leave his family in pain if he took his life so he decides take their own family lives with him.

I was 9 when this happened and I was very sad, this is why I tell my homies I love them every day, you never know what people are going threw now in days.

This randomly popped up on my feed and threw me back down into the rabbithole that is this case. It's so incredibly sad, whichever side you believe. Personally, I think Chris was an aggressive guy with a horribly damaged brain who did something not entirely of his own accord, but definitely enough. Just looking at the aggression showed toward Nancy juxtaposed with how he killed Daniel shows that he was at least more agitated with Nancy. Well...when they found out about the crime and the calender on the desk says June 2007.
I don't think we can ever know why he did it. The running theory is CTE brain damage. It can cause violent outbursts and his autopsy showed severe damage to his brain.
Apparently he had been pretty violent with his wife before. Not sure about his kids. My guess is he got into it with his wife and either killed her out of rage or let it fester and attacked when she was asleep. Then killed his son thinking it would be best so he didn't grow up knowing what happened...just kind of impulse. Its said he looked up something related to resurrection of a young boy, so I'm guessing he felt serious remorse or guilt. Then finished himself off eventually.
This is why CTE, the depression and everything else with this case made sense as to why Chris did this. Because if he was healthy, in mind at least, this tragedy would never have happened. Yes Chris is a family annihilator. But I don’t view him like I do say John List who murdered his whole family on religious beliefs and then went into hiding for almost 15 years. Chris was legitimately sick because of his career and everyone paid the ultimate price for it.

Well, you can't say be unknown because there is kind of a big reason... So many blows to the head with the head butt off the top rope, constant chair shots, and years of steroid use up until his death. Even when you look at his last matches around the time of his death, you can see how horrible he was starting too look because his heart was taking had taking so much abuse over the years with his whole body. When he died, the autopsy shows his heart was so enlarged, so even if he didn't kill his family he would've still died due to the years of steroid use and many other drugs I'm sure along with taking so much head shots in the ring. People don't realize when your eddie Guerreros and chris benoits height, being 230 lbs of that much muscle at that height is not really realistic. And eventually, over time, with constant abuse of steroids, head shots to the head, WWE not taking this shit seriously when they fucking should've, things just finally caught up to him and the fact that he had such a fucked up brain of a 80 year old, everything was too late in my opinion.

Chris was at the doctors office he told him Nancy was acting like hitler.. Chris after Eddie death was so isolated even isolated from his own family... Nancy always texted him saying he is never home even when he has time. On father's day she told you won't even bother to pick up your son's call. Nancy also told her sister back in 2002 if i ever get killed i want you to know that he did it. Chris was suffering from CTE and he suffered from paranoia. He bought an isolated house and told his neighbor and chavo to never tell anyone else about his house. Chris paranoia started getting so high that he thought someone was following him and he started taking alternative routes. People say it might be the killer but what if nancy was following him to know if he was cheating? Or perhaps someone who knows nancy?.... From the text messages i saw it looks nancy was scared chris was doing something behind her back. She went backstage sometime and she said i felt everyone is walking on eggshells around me. Perhaps not because Chris is cheating but because Chris told his close friends how nancy is acting and they felt uncomfortable around her. All of this contributed to the accident but on more thing is that one the week of the accident lots of chris and nancy friends died. Nancy told her neighbor while crying that chris was feeling that he doesn't have much time left and nancy felt same way. When i saw the amount of the people that died that week, i wonder if that already put more stress on chris and nancy. I think by this time Chris couldn't really take it anymore. Nancy told her sister she might discuss with Chris raising Daniel by herself. Did she? We won't know but we know is that swimming pool workers said they saw Chris and Daniel grilling food and nancy went shopping as well. The receipt was found later. Earlier this morning, after chris left doctors office he got on call with bob holly and he asked him if can join him tonight but bob refused saying that it would be better for chris and Nancy to have their time for themselves. Later that night Chris was on phone with chavo but Chris someone is ringing the door so he left chavo on line till the line went dead. Did nancy comeback? Why would she come back so late ? Did she invite someone for the dinner? Perhaps the close neighbor? We might never know but it feels like someone else was there. Most if the evidence proves that they invited someone. This person didn't kill them but they saw what happened from chris and probably panicked and left. Imagine if nancy came back and the neighbor was with her then they both talked to Chris about divorce and Chris got so angry that he killed nancy. The police said someone called the neighbors house that day. People think it was nancy was calling for help but i think if she wants to call someone she would call police. Chris called the neighbor but she didn't hear the call. He later texted her saying Daniel won't go horse camping next day. I believe that the neighbor knew that Nancy was died. When she got in the house to put the dogs away she got in the house to look inside and when she came out she was screaming Daniel is dead. What about Nancy? She already knew.
Finally i believe Chris mentally suffered lots of problems and Nancy was overstressing him.
