My grandad used to work like that, mainly hand tools and not many power tools, certainly nothing crazy expensive in his workshop, yet he still produced some fine pieces over the years! I'd like to be a little bit like him, although I own more power tools than he would have approved of (probably) 🤣🤣
Awesome work, really enjoyed the video. Makes me feel better about building doors in the future as I do not have any industrial tools. What a bargain for the customer, they got a high quality product for a great price. Don't know your market but Id suppose you could charge much more.
Very nice work! It's easy for us to speculate as to how much that would be worth but it really has to do with whatever market you're in. I wonder if they could've purchased a door like that anywhere else in your area... or at a similar price? I'm sure you did your research and I'm sure the client is thrilled. I am curious as to the make of that table saw... I've never seen a saw of that size with a sliding table before.
Thanks mate! The table saw is from evolutionpowertools.co.uk I think I actually have a discount code: RTRENOVATIONS it was a long time ago this code was set up but if I'm not mistaken I think it was for 5%off
nice door, and very nice skills given the "not-so-industrial" machinery. I wonder why you did not fit vacuum insulated glass (or some other insulating glass) instead of single pane. That door has a lot of glass and the thermal performance might be affected. Price is reasonable. Keep creating, got a new sub here.
Thanks mate, it was for an old house, not allowed to use double glazing or any other modern materials. Had to match what was there before, but I get what you're saying. It could have a lot more energy efficient!
Considering that the door is made from sapele and the whole thing is handmade, not only did you do a fantastic job making it, the price i think was fairly cheap. The price you charged the customer was more like the price you'd find on eBay or another site that sells cheaply to just get sales. They also make very poor products, unlike your product, which is of good quality timber and well made!!!. I know exactly what you mean about the weather, this year i don't feel like we had a summer, especially with the amount of rain we had!!!
@@rtrenovations totally agree, I've used putty many times in the past to install windows and have found that it can take upto 6 months to cure properly 🤔.
Skilled carpentry + making the most of your tools + a practical approach = excellent results! Nice work!

Bravo
Thank you mate!
Cool door! Awesome craftsmanship. I think your customer got a bargain.
Thanks mate, appreciate your feedback!

Thanks, mate! Weather wasn't actually too bad here in the south, but still, that putty would have taken months to dry!

Too cheap. I guessed almost triple that price.
Thanks mate! Will sure keep that in mind next time I'm pricing up one!
