I love this! I have hundreds of Doodle Bug collections I can try this with. Thank you so much for the inspiration, genius as always! Love the stitching too!

Thank you!! Doodlebug papers are so perfect for those smaller pieces. I bet it turns out awesome!

Beautiful layout!! Thanks for showing your process because looking at it, I would have probably started in the upper left corner. That ruler is a must.

Thank you! 😊 Working from the corner would definitely work too and would have been easy to do. The image of what this would look like in my head was quite different than it looks on paper. I’m so used to starting patterns in the middle so that it’s even all around, but in reality with this is was totally unnecessary.

Thanks for sharing this great layout. I really appreciate the way you share your thought process and potential mess-ups....it's not just me! Sometimes I just want to create and don't follow the logic right to the end of the process and end up having to make adjustments that I hadn't planned....like when you needed to cut a few strips a bit smaller. Anyway...as always, love your layout, always so inspiring.

Thank you so much!! I agree with you, a lot of time I’m just so excited to create that I don’t really think about the logistics of it. 😊

I also liked the design the diagonal strips made in the center of the page, underneath the white square. In my opinion, it would have also made an interesting area for photos 😁

I did too! I would have went with it, but I already had it in my head that I wanted a square background with the chain link stitch as a border. I may have to give it another go some day!

Such a fun layout! I got one of those rulers at We Create last fall and haven’t used it yet…must change that today! Thanks for the inspiration Allison!

Allison if I tried to do that frame, I don't think I'd be that fastidious with the little strips and it would look like a drunk person broke into my craft room.

😂 if it makes you feel any better, my craft room DOES look like a drunk person broke in! I keep putting off my yearly deep cleaning and it needs to happen now! 😂

@@allisondavis4sg944 oh lets not talk about the rest of the craft room. (but aren't messy people supposed to be more intelligent. That's what I keep telling my husband)
