We were so happy to see TJ's has furikake! We lived in Hawaii for several years and picked up on some of their habits, one being adding furikake to so many things. We add it to popcorn (yum), avocado toast, and my daughter adds it to pizza and grilled cheese (kinda weird because it turns it green). We go through it quickly, so we are glad to see it at Trader Joe's and for such a great price!!
The main difference between seltzer and sparkling water comes down to where the carbonation comes from. If the carbonation is artificial, it's probably seltzer or club soda and regulated like a soda. If the bubbles are naturally occurring, straight from the source, it's sparkling water.
In addition to being your fan, I’m a Flav City superfan and have changed the way I eat thanks to Bobby. You mentioned that Spindrift is expensive at TJ’s. I agree! I have found that the Walmart in my area sells the 8 pack of Spindrift for $4.98, which is an excellent price! Yes, Natural Flavor is in way too many of the foods and drinks we consume. I wish TJ’s did not allow Natural Flavors in their products. Thx for another great video!😘💕👍
Great that you mention Bobby Flavcity he is one of my favorite also. Great tip on that seltzer. Have to try that new salad. Love when you list the prices. Happy New Year's to you 🎉!
All the new things are making me want to go to Trader Joe’s right now!!! The kombucha, coconut bars and Furikake seasoning are all on my list!! I immediately thought about how to use it and I’m going to put that seasoning in my chickpea “tuna” salad. I think it’ll give it some great flavor. Loved the haul! Happy New Year to you and the family! 🤗
Hi Katie, You can get spindrift 8 pack for $5 at times from stores like Target and Shoprite. $5/8=.62 Meanwhile TJs is $3/4=.75 Just to let anyone know who wants the best deal!
You need to stop!!! Lol I'm always in bed when I watch you in the morning then make my shopping list since TJ's is only 4 minutes from me. My girls love the meatless products. Could you do a video of those products and a taste test for folks who don't know about them? They are so yummy! Cheers 😍
My husband is from Hawaii and furikake is a staple!! We LOVE this on buttery popcorn. So delicious! Also on salmon with some mayo. So yum! Love your hauls, gonna have to make my monthly trip to TJ’s ASAP. It’s an hour and a half from me. Booo
I always look forward to watching your videos. It makes my trips to TJ's so exciting. I can't wait to try the Japanese seasoning. I make sushi bowls and think this would be a great addition. Thanks for sharing.
Katie this is a great haul. Wanted to tell you I tried your EGG BAKE recipe with Tator tots, etc. It was fabulous!!! I even did it vegan! No meat is really necessary, but it could be served on the side. It was delicious warmed up the next day! TY🙏❤️
Hey Katie, Wow so many new products already !!! I want to try them all lol 😜 the pizza is gigantic 😋 looking forward to seeing your taste test. Your top is beautiful and you look so pretty 😍 see ya next video 😇
I just went to Trader Joe's over the weekend but am always on the hunt for different products! So, thank you for such a helpful video on recommendations on what to consider buying, the next time I make it over to Trader Joe's! I wanted to get kombucha but I couldn't find any the last time I was at Trader Joe's!I have tried the cucumber/ watermelon VelaMints and they are yummy!
The organic fruit flavored snacks contain natural flavors, and the chicken thighs have natural flavor as well as the salad ... you know that means chemicals ... I just want you to be healthy
I hope that you know that I am just being helpful and never trying to undermine your posts. I adore you and just feel that you are going to understand my comments as all good ❤️
Hi Katie, I grabbed the Furikake seasoning and HOLY MOLY... she is delicious... I made a salad with eggs and sprinkled it on top with an asian style dressing YUM! I also sprinkle this on rice and vegetables once they have been cooked :)
I watch Bobby too. Good to know about the seltzer water. Bobby is the reason I started making my own hummus. I like peanuts in my salad. I love all nuts and nut butters as well. Per my usual, I watched these videos backwards. I'll be buying the salad my next trip! :)
Thanks for the new TJ's haul! I'm going to TJ's later today and will be checking out the new items. I grew up eating furikake - my mother was Japanese (RIP Mommy-yo) and we ate it on rice and had it in onigiri. I still eat furikake and rice often and I usually get mine from the big Asian Market in North Austin. I'm excited to try TJ's version. 😊
I LOVE Persian cucumbers! I make a homemade dill dip to go with them and it is delicious! I am on a ketogenic diet and the cucumbers have become my new "potato chip"!!
A great sauce for the kale gnocchis would be Tahini, lemon juice, pepper & water to get the consistency you want. Tahini is healthy & is great w kale & other greens. Another sauce would be raw red beets grated, coconut yogurt, lemon juice, fresh dill & chick peas. Place in blender & blend thoroughly. Add water to thin if desired. Lots of these sauces can be found on vegan cooking channels.
I’ve been waiting for this haul! I went with my mom last week to TJs and we bought pomelo because we love it so much. I also bought the seltzer water which Bobby raves about on flavcity. My favorite is the lemon and ginger because it taste similar to ginger ale.
I want to purchase the nori seasoning to add to sushi bowls! I make sushi bowls with rice, avocado, cucumber, mango, carrot, ginger and soy sauce. Sometimes I add lettuce, papaya, other roasted veggies, and kimchi depending what I have on hand. I always buy the packahed of nori to add however this would be perfect! Sushi bowls are one of my go to meal ideas.
Really enjoyed watching this video! I'm always looking for interesting snack ideas as a type 1 diabetic and I totally forgot about cucumber for some reason LOL I'm definitely going to try out cucumber with a little hummus that sounds very interesting! Big hugs!
Awesome haul! I've been to two different TJ's the past two days! I'm a vegetarian too and anxious to see what you thought of the kale gnocchi. I saw it today but passed...............
I bought those gyro slices today for the first time and thought of you and Tim. 😁😀 Those coconut granola squares sound yummy. I didn't notice them in my store today, but I was in a bit of a rush and didn't have time to look around. Hopefully, next trip.
Yay! So glad I found your page this past fall. Looking forward to all the hauls throughout the year! By the way, your top is super cute! Where is it from?
I would use Furikake on plain rice for extra flavor or with cold soba noodles with a dipping sauce (= a Japanese soba soy sauce + some chopped scallions and wasabi)
The kale gnocchi ingredients r amazing. I hope my store has it. I don’t know much about gnocchi but I have had it in a soup before . Great haul . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My favorite snack is SkinnyPop popcorn and the vegan chocolate chips from TJ’s. It’s like 230 calories and hits my sweet and salty cravings. It’s also a vegan, soy, and gluten free treat :)
All those bars the fruit bars have just as much sugaras a Snickers bar or more I don't think it's too healthy for you but they taste good so does a Snickers bar and it satisfies me all day 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Instead of sauce I think a drizzle of the Trader Joe's balsamic glaze with some shaved parm would be FANTASTIC over that kale gnocchi! BUT it's too high in carbs for me...😣
@@sarajane7610 I buy the shaved brussel sprouts and cook them in a skillet until they are getting brown and carmelizing...then I drizzle balsamic glaze over them and top with the shaved parm! It is perfect with roasted veggies too...my kids eat all their veggies because of the combination!
Katie, my store has the Stir Fry Veggie w Brown Rice and Miso kit ( produce section) It is fantastic... Have you seen that yet? I don't think you showed it
Hi, I like watching your videos and to hear your opinions on the different items but on your last Costco haul video you mentioned that you like bland food more than seasoned food. I like flavorful good tasting food. So, I wonder which items that you are suggesting are the bland item, so I can know to steer clear of those?
Spindrift is 15 dollars for 30 cans at costco (: lemon, raspberry lime, and grapefruit pack I got lucky during a sale and it was only 10.99 for the 30pk 😁

My family went NUTS and I really hope Trader Joe’s is going to keep selling it! Maybe you can check. Also a couple things I hadn’t seen the Sobe Noodle stir fry and Broccoli Caulflower Saute Kit. Haven’t made the latter but the Sobe noodle with an Asian dressing was weird looking but very very good. Ok done bugging you (I think) I may watch the rest of the video and find more crap to comment on. Gonna say it again. I’m SO bummed the holidays are over. I really am.
I will try and remember about the pot roast. Both the kits you mentioned I have hauled and taste tested before. I liked them both, but I think I remember liking the Brussel sprout one more.

I go to Trader Joe’s twice as much since I started watching you! They are lucky to have you represent their products so honestly. You’re a treasure.
Lynn Montuori SAME here!! It’s 4 miles from my house too!
Awe thank you so much. Unfortunately I don’t think TJ’s cares either way....I wish they did because I care so much! 😊

Furikake is used a bunch in Hawaii - it's great as a crust for fish and also on popcorn, rice, pasta, etc…

Love that pretty top, Katie! Between you and Bobby, I've discovered so many new favorites at TJ's- Thanks!!
I made grilled cheeses in a panini press with those ciabatta rolls and the family told me they can’t go back to regular grilled cheese anymore haha 😆
