On Sansa's behalf, I asked all of the great sages of the generation about this, and they said to me: with regard to plowing, this is sufficient to establish the presumption of ownership.

just in case you take requests for videos i would like to leave this here I was reading in Sanhedrin 43A where a certain idolater was given 40 days of announcements to find someone who could offer evidence for acquittal according to what I understood this did seem to be a special case but I was wondering if the Talmud had any other instances similar or if there were some general guidelines for doing something like that I have the impression that the Sanhedrin would have made a good attempt to avoid penalizing an innocent person but 40 days seems rather long for making special allowances if by any chance you have already made a video discussing this would you be able to point me to that video thanks
Not yet! I haven’t reached Sanhedrin yet in the daf cycle, but I’m looking forward to it. It sounds like a very interesting Daf, I’m sure I’ll react to it but just in case I’ll mark this daf on the calendar!
Rava bar Sharshom: when Mom says, "we have Rava at home." Him and Yochanan ben Dehavai are proof that good branding won't save a shitty product. Incidentally, I enjoy fun and games as much as the next person, but I could do without having to hear more about elephants pooping baskets.

My favorite lately has been: "why would he lie?" Or "why would I lie?". Lying liars have always lied...thank you Talmudic sages for pointing this out. So...when this daf cycle is complete, you're going to publish a "daf reactions dictionary" with "cautionary tales and amusing anecdotes" with some sick graphics, right? I'd buy that.
@@allisons.1155 also YES the “why would I lie?” Thing is HILARIOUS to me. “Why would you lie???” Ummmmm because it benefits you, you liar! 😂 I love abaye’s side eye here about that

So is an aggadic Jew like... a fandom Jew? Someone who spends more time studying the lore and ships and AUs than the plot of the series? Someone who spends more time reading the Silmarillion than The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings?
I guess one could say that, yes! Although an Aggadic Tolkien person would still love the story of Beren and Luthien, or any other of the great tales in the Silmarillion. They perhaps would not be interested in Numenor's zoning laws!
@@MiriamAnzovin God, Numenor's zoning laws... the mere idea of that puts me to sleep, but knowing Tolkien, there's probably a long-buried folio page about it somewhere. Maybe with a sarcastic note from C.S. Lewis about how it's all beachfront property now.
