I never watched the video until now. It feels like the soundtrack to my life - never finding lasting love to create the family I always wanted. Growing older means it’s less likely to ever happen with each passing year. It’s the only sound that accurately describes the sadness of watching life pass me by. 😢
_Destroyed. Collapsed. Abandoned. A town that once stood, now on its knees at the mercy of a man. A man noone knows but everyone fears. No more children seen playing. Schools, empty. Streets blow the breeze of a silent bitter wind, covered by the blood stained sheets that lay over them. What once was, is no more. Alone. What's left is a reminder, a reminiscence of those that once lived in happiness and health. Death, murder, corruption. Goodbye small town, rest in peace._ _Goodbye small town... rest in peace._
A left symphony of the enclosed doors, once clouded over above a reminiscent head, lied the everlasting sacred colors of the unspoken folklore, a man of no colorization or conspicuous name, would grieve for the residents of the "Dark Lantern Park" , created of a transcendant man of the mundane social presence, a essence of digression thats further amped by depression, there were no feeble bodies below or above his brethren, he lived in the darkness cursing all who aggressed him, and now he feels alone, the cold shivers crawl up his abdomen, his left slowly bleeding out his own family recited "forget him", the anger apostles relay him a sad lethal message: "you look left and right to see the, course of action and create an attraction filled with the last kiss, a broken seminal of the hardened engraved insights of inexplicable ill frights, the human heart is filled with finite presence of the good, and filled to the brim with lethal evil".
Imagine running from something with this music playing in your head. Running from something beautiful yet tainted, godly but ungodly, as the creature slowly whisks away all life on earth leaving nothing but emptiness.
The Never Ending Story is an old movie about a boy that reads a magical book and takes the story into his own hands as a basic plot hook. But the main antagonist is known as "The Nothing." It is void that steals away everything that cannot out run it. Omg it was a great film. And this comment reminded me of it, so hopefully this is your movie XD
Whenever I close my eyes, and listen to this while being completely alone, the tears start to flow automatically. Those Chopin touches make me vibrate with melancholy and sadness, but they remind me of who I am. The violin, what a great piece. Years of listening and years of feeling the same.
This music is making me nostalgic. Like I'm going through some old pictures, wanting to go back there. I can't remember all the details anymore, since its been ages since the picture was taken, but I remember how I felt in that moment. But at the same time I'm able to appreciate the fact that so much has happened, good times and bad times.
i couldnt understand untill i catched it, the size of their bodies, is the size of their inner strenght, of the faith passion and willpower... all the time.. we saw his soul... never his body...just his soul...
I love this combination, the deep motions ingrained into the music which integrates Olafur's personal style and thoughts with Chopin's work, the mingling of the past and the present, the recreation of the greatness of Chopin and then a new piece is born. However, Olafur chose this music video which has a great emphasis on strength and masculinity on a grander scale either implicitly or explicitly, It may conclude that it all comes out through the roughness of the visual image to explore the opposite, eventually transcending to a new level. In essence, two seemingly contradicted sides of everything meet at the end, it is a circle, ignorance blinds us. The interpretation of the music is open, this is my cents.
Olafur, I have grown up listening to your music. It's an UNDERSTATEMENT to say I've overcame some very hard times with your music. Thank you for being the inspiration in my life. Know that you're music has at least changed one's life for the better. Hope to see ya perform live sometime. 💚✌🏾
tuğçe sen benim için ulaşılması imkasız bir hazinesin .sana okadar çok aşığım ki ... akıp giden zamanı seni düşünerek durduruyorum . keşke varlığımdan azıcık haberin olsaydı . keşke seni etkileyebileceğim bişeylerim olsaydı . tanrım! okadar çaresizim ki ....seni sevmek bütün bedenimi sardı , sen düşünülecek her zaman değer bir kadınsın . dalgalı saçlarında kayboldum . gözlerinde kör oldum . sana bakınca hayatımın gerçekliğini sorguladım . sen bu şarkıyı dinlerken ne düşündün ?? ben her gece seni düşündüm . her gece imkansız hayelleri düşündüm . . . hep mutlu ol....
+Andrew Hartwig Either way it's still a beautiful piece, very mesmerizing to be honest. I get so lost in the music that sometimes I just sit down & close my eyes to take it all in
+Erika Diaz Oh yeah I actually like his rendition a LOT more, he played on it such a strange way you wouldn't expect. (And I love abstract / psychadelic renditions) :D
I never knew I needed this, but I'm so glad I got it. I've been listening to this for hours at a time now. Combining the emotion of Chopin's nocturnes with the power of a group of strings is absolute genius and a definite masterpiece. Thank you so much for making this. Much love
Lovely that you can hear the reverb of the other piano strings slightly in the record, gives everything a little eery dissonant sound, what an awesome recording choice😍
It's very easy to see the opponent/partner of the dance as a metaphorical figure. He isn't cruelly antagonistic. The only emotion on his face is rigid duty. He puts up all the fight he has, but it's almost like it's not for his own sake or for personal glory. He's a force rather than a man.
Im not one to listen to this type of music, but I'd say I like most types of music in their own ways. I came across this watching vampire diaries and then I recognised it instantly, it had played a few times at the spa I work, I just feel at peace when listening to this, I love it.

Don't let age keep you down. You'll always get the chance to accomplish your dreams, only if you keep your chin up and never give up.
Don't care about such things, live the life, you don't need anyone. Shape yourself.
It's the same with me. But I have friends and as long as I have life there are possibilities, I will never give up.
This song is on my playlist while writing my recent dark romance novel. Fits perfectly.
I'd love to read your novel. :D
Really
I would love to read your novel as well. I love to write myself so maybe I could give feedback if you'd like? :))
I´m using this song as inspirationg while I write a horror novel.

Shivers!!
So you watched the animal crossing vid too
I sure did, that came to mind
A left symphony of the enclosed doors,

Inspired by F.Chopin´s Nocturne 20 in C sharp minor,! Lovely!
Oh, I thought that it was similar! That explains it.
Nice view, man. So deep.
Hyder Yousif وصفت احساسي بالحرف
Indeed. The description just said it was Chopin’s Nocturne in C# minor, which is confusing, since Nocturne 7 is also in that key.
I was looking for this validation because I felt the same.
Imagine running from something with this music playing in your head. Running from something beautiful yet tainted, godly but ungodly, as the creature slowly whisks away all life on earth leaving nothing but emptiness.
I want this as a movie SKSKS

@@winterfall82 I'm gonna go watch it now TY ! :D
@@evelynnthedemoness Hope it fits what you described lol. As a kids movie it is a bit happy, though.
Describing yourself kinda?
What a beautiful, masterful work of art.
A visual metafor about not forgetting WHAT or WHOM motivate us to go further and better.
And yet, unhappy my friend...
Whenever I close my eyes, and listen to this while being completely alone, the tears start to flow automatically. Those Chopin touches make me vibrate with melancholy and sadness, but they remind me of who I am. The violin, what a great piece. Years of listening and years of feeling the same.
I feel like I shouldn't be allowed to listen to such a masterpiece as this..like this should be reserved for gods.
Demonic Soul Yeah only one God 😁
Listening this with rain sounds and some coffee..

Just how can someone dislike anything Olafur Arnalds makes?
Those who want to pretend they're special!
Deaf people!
@lordvegetal not funny
duh... cause anything that Olafur makes isn't good?!!
Maybe because he literally copied chopin's nocturne 20 in c minor and he didnt even mentioned
Music Video: Has a deep, hidden meaning I will never understand
Me: Dayum he thicc
He's Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson. He played the role of The Mountain in Game of Thrones.
Seems to be about self-confidence, honestly.
Read about Glima - the name that covers several types of Nordic folk wrestling practiced as sport and combat.
Masterpiece
A Resident Evil 8: VIIlage Main Menu theme song concept video has brought me here. I am not disappointed in what I have found.
That just reminds me of my inner fight against myself and the bad relationship I have with my father. But in a way, seeing that helped me. :/
Every time when I listen to this song, my eyes get wet! It's a really beautiful piece 💜
9 years and i listen it now.. 😳🥺 amazing!!!
i couldnt understand untill i catched it, the size of their bodies, is the size of their inner strenght, of the faith passion and willpower... all the time.. we saw his soul... never his body...just his soul...
It looks like they are dancing...
very powerful music and video
One of my personal favorite artists of all time.
this song makes me cry... the only music i´ve listened in so many years that makes me cry.
The way he uses Chopin its amazing...
Thank you...

hi handsome
Thank you. I was really confused as to what I was watching
I honestly find the video totally irrelevant to the music!
What you both did with Chopin's nocturne, is beyond amazing! Would love to hear some more improvs!
I can travel in Time and Space, listening this Masterpiece.
Thank You a lot.

I liked the idea when announced, but execution is far beyond what I imagined. Flawless.
Can you post a link to where the announcement for the original idea is?/ tell those of us who missed it what the idea was? Please and thank you!
i LOVE this! chopin is my favorite composer, and nocturne 20 in c sharp minor is my favorite composition by him!

Olafur, Olafur, Olafur...you can do no wrong. Fantastic. Can't wait you see you playing Glasgow again, next week.
Is this sad music? My wife seems to think so. I think this music makes me appreciate for what I already have.
I find it soothing. My resting self resonates with the minor scale.
you understand the music, so do I.. hits home deep.
Jefferson Steelflex ...yes, sad and beautiful as life is sad and beautiful on the whole...
it is melancholy, a mix of sadness and reflection, you heard the reflection, she heard the sadness
Yes, that`s right.
I have a playlist called 'Gentle Definitive'.
This goes there.
I am awash with tears.
Thank you.
One of my favorite from Olafur Arnalds

goosebumps and swelling up... never thought someone would make the nocturnes lovelier, thanks Olafur!

супер!!! как всегда!!! спасибо большое!
I'm here for Alice Sara Ott ! I'm a new fan. Can I mary you ? This girl is so talented, so beautiful, and so kindly expressive when playing piano.
I want this song to play at my funeral.
i love this kind of videos, the ones who have a hidden idea on it.
