Really? This was my next upgrade. I really only play Apex, Valorant, Doom, BF1. Probably planning on GTA6 when it comes out. My monitor is only 1440p and 165hz and I don’t plan to upgrade anytime soon. Right now I’m rocking a MSI 3060 ti and a 7600x but kind of thinking about going 7700x and the 7700 XT but was not sure if the 7800 XT was overkill.
@CARTUNE. Your 7600x has plenty of gaming muscles. 7700x is only marginally better. I’d recommend putting your money towards the new GPU. Get at least a 7800xt or the new 7800GRE when it launches very soon.
The 7900xt isnt bad. Its a decent card. Now, i think the 7900gre is about the MAX price you should spend on a gpu, $550 and does 4k ultra settings, all games.
Is it really overspent? I mean the 7900 XT almost has the same performance as the XTX, and that for 150€ less. I'm currently wondering if my 7800 XT wasn't enough.
@@krontoques It's a good card and it runs most games good. paired with a fast CPU it is fine in 1440p. Unfortunately the problem was Sapphire pulse card. it overheats at full load and fans are a big issue
@@krontoques No problems with system. Windows 11 is perfect. Just make sure you installed updates carefully. Btw I prefer RTX 4070 than RX 7700XT but nvidia more expensive :)
Just ordered the 7700 xt after my PC died the other day without warning. I'll be upgrading from a 1060 6gb, though I was tempted to get the 7800 xt or 4070 but the 7700 xt was so much cheaper and has decent reviews/benchmarks for what I play (1080p - though i might try dipping my toes in 1440p if the card can perform). First time running an AMD card as the 40 series didn't really excite me too much after doing a bit of research. Can't wait to try it out!

There is a difference between encoding and decoding. - There is no proper confirmation that the next version of FSR will use AI cores. It's being thrown around as a "hint" of it being a thing, but nothing set in stone so far. - There has been no mention of AMD halting production on RDNA2. Even the alleged rumor of Navi 23 being discontinued ended up being just a rumor.

Yeah but you're paying 30 usd more for gaining the productivity boost. And slightly lower tdp , which might help you if you're still hesitant since nvidia gpus have more upper hand in productivity. That 30 usd is just better vs 4060ti 8gb vs 16gb price bump

Is a 5700x3d with a Rx 7700xt with a 600w gold psu enough for 1080p? I currently use a Gtx 1660OC that consumes its maximum 125w of power, I don't believe that another 100w makes a difference in a good 600w gold psu.
7800XT is nice, but it's $100 for like, 10fps. 7700XT is already very, very competitive with the 4070. Sadly it's the most sensible buy at market price right now ($400)
The rx6800 non xt is 2% Faster than the 7700xt, Costs about £60 or 70$ USD cheaper (cheapest new models) and crucially has 16gb of video memory compared to 12gb
I wouldn't buy a 7700xt over an RX 6800 (Non xt). 6800 xt is cheaper, uses 20% less power on average and the performance difference is typically better with the 6800 because 16gb vram vs 12gb on the 7700
You forget the 7700xt is getting better with time and is on a newer architecture so it has extra features like AI cores and stuff that make it worth it

No i shouldve bought nVidia like always but i gave AMD a chance. Bought the 7700 XT brand new at $400 and it black screened within a week. Returned it and bumped up to a 4070 Super Founders Edition. Yes, the 7700 XT is a great card for the price, but i prefer my GPU actually works consistantly.

DUde why you spreading bad information, the 7700xt is trash even the 7800xt is trash. If you get a 240hz monitor 1440p then yea 7800xt is a good deal. Dont waste your money on the low tier RDNA3. IF you cant wait until RDNA 3/4 aka 8000 series or 9000 w/e they will name it. Then get a 7900GRE its 12-15% faster not overclocked then a 7800xt overclocked maxed. The 7900GRE is now able to be overclocked. HOwever this graphics card still isnt satisfying. UNfortunately economy sucks for everyone but dont waste your money on cheap shitty cards. Trust me, wait another 2 years before you upgrade, the 7700xt and 7800xt should be 150-250 dollar cards max. The gre should be about 350, and 7900xt 440, 7900xtx 500. That would be great price to performance and that price range you wont feel like shit.
For 1080p gaming you dont need more than 12gb vram its only when you push higher resolutions like 1440p or 4k where the extra vram Buffer will unlock more power

It still a good gpu that can play most games at 1440p ultra. Even some games in 4K. Performs roughly the same as a 4070 ti s i think

it should be fine. You can always undervolt it or cap it at 60fps for lower power usage
Hmmm 600 could get a bit tricky, as you need to look at peak power consumtion. Currently rocking a 7800 XT with a 5800X and my 750w seems to be enough
