I can’t understand why you need to analyse her condition - can’t we leave her alone
She is a public figure and a member of the royal family so her private life will always be under scrutiny. Like Diana, she knew this when she married William. The British people expect to know about their lives if they are to continue to support a monarchy they can live without.

You do realize that this had to be made public, regardless of the media scrutiny and conspiracy theories? She is a public figure, and it's understandable why people are concerned for her. Having said that, I agree that she is entitled to reveal as much as she is comfortable, and can keep the more intimate aspects private. I also agree that the media should keep a respectful distance as the family goes through this. I work in healthcare and we have privacy laws regarding peoples' medical information.
Yeah right. You knew it when no information was released and then a fake picture was posted. Nobody criticized or made fun of her when she didn't lie. If you're a public figure who is out and about regularly with a camera crew and then suddenly disappear without clear information people will definitely speculate and criticize.
She could have at least not faked the picture. She and her family are paid over 350 million pounds every year and allowed to live tax for what?
Here we go with the 'fake picture' nonsense. She photoshopped a picture as tens of millions do on a daily basis. Did it ever occur to you that perhaps she did so because she's currently ill/receiving chemo and isn't the picture of health??? She most certainly did NOT 'suddenly disappear without clear information'. She announced in January she was having major abdominal surgery and would return to work after Easter. What part of that confuses you?
She is a public figure and a member of the royal family so her life will always be under scrutiny. King Charles announced his cancer right away and Kate should have done the same because she could have told her children right away that mommy was sick but is getting better. If the British public no longer cares about what is happening to the royal family then chances are good they may decide to end the monarchy. Now that she has finally announced her condition, the privacy she wants will better be respected.

How about this story? A woman with cancer asks for a few months off work while she recovers from major surgery and chemotherapy while also helping her young children cope , gets harassed by world and accused of preposterous conspiracy theories . It’s egregious.
Over the years, I have worked with about half a dozen nurses who have gone through chemo. They have ALL CONTINUED TO WORK during chemo. Unlike Waity Katie, the tax payer didn't pay for them to have unlimited time off, even though nursing is a much more responsible, stressful, difficult and important a job than waving at the peons and cutting the odd ribbon.
I agree. I like that the Princess has shared the news about her diagnosis, sharing only what needed to be said. It's time for the press to back off and leave the family alone.

Ridiculous, meaningless comment . My husband went through chemo last year and was unable to work at all. You have NO CLUE what type/stage cancer she has, how many treatments she is receiving, how often or what chemo meds she receives. Chemo affects everyone differently. You cannot compare Princess Catherine to your 6 nurses.

Being given a cancer diagnosis throws you for a loop no matter how strong of a person you are, it blows your mind, makes you come face to face with your own mortality, and makes your mind and fears run rampant. It takes time to absorb, process, and recover from that. Let us all be kind and decent, wish her the best and give her the privacy she deserves.
And she will live with uncertainty and screenings all the rest of her life.

She was going back to work after Easter before the Cancer diagnosis. She waited until the children's school holidays to announce it to protect the children. What is so hard to get 🤬
She is a public figure and a royal so of course the media would question what was going on. Once the people of Britain no longer care about the lives of the royals, the monarchy will soon end. Now that it is out in the open she should be given more space.

my mom had a cancerous growth removed, it was fully encased and not spread outside the tumor. The Surgeon suggested several months of preventative chemo therapy as a precaution. She did not lose her hair. Cancer did not return.
Wonderful! When people frequently say 'Life was so much better in the 50's'. Not so fast! Life is better now. The research is so much better. Diagnoses and help is much quicker. Healing is the goal and the docs are on top of what the proven options are.

I think that anyone high profile with a young family would want to make sure they have time to tell and to figure how to tell their children before it gets leaked out to the press. There is no such thing as prophylactic treatment with cell toxins (cytostatics), hence no preventive chemothreapy for non-cancerous patients. Either you have cancer or not. Preventative chemotherapy, usually referred to as "adjuvant chemotherapy", is an early treatment that is used to reduce the chance of cancer returning, even if all visible cancer was removed in a surgery.
I think it’s been put into simpler terminology for those who are not in healthcare professions. I wish that the media would let her be.

I had "preventative" chemo in the UK (in Oxford), in 1999. In my case, that meant that I had a high-grade invasive cancer, but that there was no trace of it in my lymph nodes. Because there was no guarantee or way of detecting if ONE cell got out of the original site, they advised chemo to prevent even one cell of re-trenching elsewhere, leading to systemic cancer. I cannot guarantee that's what she's been advised, but that's how I understand the term, from experience.
It was at Easter before the cancer diagnosis. Now she is having chemo so it will be a few months yet. What part of this can't you people get ? Catherine has asked for privacy. Give it to her !!!

I think what people forget is they are a family, but they are still training world leaders, and they aren't just any other family. People know who the kids are at school, and kids can be cruel. It could be they wanted to save the kids from what William and Harry went threw when their Mom died. It sounds like a good prognosis so it was smart to wait till they got all the information.

Maybe they will, in the near future, use this personal experience to help others with cancer or other serious health concerns-but Catherine, Princess of Wales and King Charles should focus on their health situations now, and their own family. The request for privacy and respect for their time to heal should be respected.
It's up to every patent to disclose or not to disclose his or her diagnosis & program of treatment. That doesn't mean that the Princess of Wales should be issuing twice daily bulletins giving her blood pressure, heart rate, & temperature. Give her same degree of privacy you would if she was a neighbor living down the street even if your taxes are paying for her upkeep.

A statement was made for the surgery a timeline was giving anyone paying reporting or braking into her medical records should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. At age of 41 and Mother of 4 children I had an emergency Hysterectomy and because of suspicious Ovaries, had these removed - No menopause, Am now age 84 and enjoy perfect health ….
