What is lacking remains scaled up charging infrastructure to include Tesla still upon this the most valuable highway interstate in the World. PHEVs remain far more influencing the market as a consequence because the fuel infrastructure is already here. Tesla and Chinese automakers probably already knew about these details before the unveil. Sooooo probably best to unveil the details early and call other manufacturers copy cats.
This for sure gives 2 years for others to bring in similar new options
I agree. This has to be released in early 2025, not 2026. Even if only on a limited basis.
Had to release it now for the reservation $. They are desperate for cash flow. That being said I put up my $100!
Does anyone know if it would be possible to fit drywall between the two wheel bases? Hoping it’s a little over 4 feet!
Not sure
@@BeardedTeslaGuy thanks for replying!
It’s gonna be hilarious how all yall gonna switch up when the facelift model y comes out lol
I’m stoked for model Y. This is still a great car though
Nah this whoops model y
Yall about this plug placement. The extensions will be rolled out long before this car even gets into people’s hands.
1:51👏
It’s a nice car
Rivian is being short-sighted by keeping charge port on passenger side of car. They must not understand the value of Tesla’s Supercharger network.
They’ll get it
it's going to be 70k for a good one
Hope not
@@BeardedTeslaGuy tri motor with good paint color biggest battery upgraded interior oh yeah 70k but should get federal tax credit which will help and don’t forget two more years of inflation
@@teslatalk42069 It does not need tri-motors to be a "good one". Utterly ridiculous. As for FED CREDITS it is unlikely that a maxed out version would qualify.
Put my $100 deposit on reveal day. Hoping my negative share investment starts going up.
I did too, but not a stock guy
First He calls it $100,000.......Then $45,000 with top at $55,000 ....So which is it.?????..........Most I've ever spent is $35k for a Subie forester.........I could consider $50k if there is a paid to the Dealer $7500 cash back................ALL EV's still cost to much................Paul
I was calling it half the price of the 100k R1S
They claimed all trims will have AT LEAST 300 miles
Nope rj spoke with marques brownlee and said about 270 miles on the 45k rwd trim. I bet the 300+trims all cost well over 50k.
Like Volvo suckering people on the ex30 saying a base core is 35k sure, but anything else is over 41k dual motor trims are 44k+ and maxes at 49k perf trim without the upcoming even more expensive cross country variant.👍🏻
I thought so too, but it has been confirmed from RJ it’s not the case
Looks nice. Compete in volume with Tesla? 😂
Long road ahead to have that kind of volume
Regarding the charging port. If you reverse into the station, it will be on the 'correct' side for a Tesla supercharger.
What?
No it needs to be on the other side of
Too much will happen on the market in two years, and even longer before we will see it in Europe 😢
For sure
move to usa hahahaha
Reserved one but won't buy one without a rear window wiper. Not a "nice to have" item, but a "must have" for me.
Probably hard to do with a window that rolls down
Don’t see them adding that
Model Y versus Mustang MachE versus R2 now same said be true in the pickup truck market but reversed with Rivian 1st, Ford 2nd and now Tesla 3rd. Not really into the hype at the moment but definitely starting to see pure play BEV taking over US Highways along the I-95 Corridor USA Southeast. What is lacking remains scaled up charging infrastructure to include Tesla still upon this the most valuable highway interstate in the World. PHEVs remain far more influencing the market as a consequence because the fuel infrastructure is already here. Only Ford produces a full sized hybrid truck that i am aware of and has for many Years now so more great news for Ford Motor Company. If fuel prices collapse in the USA and they might in select markets such as Houston, Cleveland, Los Angeles and Central New York definitely will change the US economy forever and for the better *WHEN* that happens and is just a matter of when for these 4 markets 4 of the largest for finished motor fuels in the World if taken in holistically (region wide for every vehicle type on and off road.) Long $wolf wolfspeed strong buy
Ram is releasing their PHEV soon also
I doubt about the starting price of $45k. Maybe $45k as of today but 2026 price could be $50k or above due to inflation lol
Don't forget that teaser price is for a 270 miles of range rwd trim with no glass roof or tow packages etc.
I bet it averages 55-60k asp if they survive getting this to market in 2026?
Forbes says rivians burned up over $19,000,000,000 just since 2019.
And rj himself publicly mentioned needing to raise another $10-15,000,000,000 to fully fund the GA plant last year.
GA is now on hold and has local legislators looking to go after rivian to recoup funds already committed to the site&site improvements. 👍🏻
I agree. with that comment. they will lose a lot of money at that price. im expecting this to cost 50-55k$
Fk no 45k R2 probably cost more than Model Y. Until 2026
Why is anyone wasting time on a vehicle which will not be available for two years, if then?
Can’t see how they will make any money on this. They lose $40K on every vehicle they sell now. This will just make it worse. Rivian is not likely to survive.
Sorry not a fan of the styling. Looks like the old 4 runner.
😂😂 I guess I can kind of see what you mean. But that’s what’s great about options. We need a car that speaks to everyone! Not all will agree so more options the better
Nothing special here. Take the headlight and the light bar out and it looks like any traditional car out there y’all hype anything that’s not a Tesla.
Why would Tesla get any hype? It's been out for 10 years and they stopped innovating years ago!
@@KeemReviewz innovations? lol you don’t know anything about electric cars. There is no car company with innovation like Tesla. Do you know what new technology went into cybertruck ? Oh you are just one of those people who don’t like something because it’s cool not to like. Tell me any innovation rivian is doing. It’s always easy for you to bring something out coping another product.
Whatever. Must be blind. This car will outsell its production for some time
Ewww R2 looks really ugly.
R2>Y
Maybe
In terms of looks imo
@@srl0003 yup has it beat hands down in looks and imo even with the juniper update likely coming later this year or early 2025 for the Y?
The r2 is still going to look like a budget range rover ev vs the bar of soap or frog inspired Y.
But tesla has more $ in the bank than rivians raised and burned so there's that going for it. Plus the world's top selling vehicle in 2023&only ev to EVER accomplish this. Along with about 3,000,000 Y sales just since April of 2020. Could tesla sell 6 or 7,000,000+Y before this even drops assuming rivian survives to launch the r2?
Bring on the rally inspired R3X!!!
I love the passion for the R3, even though it’s not for me
Watch my word. The R3 is going to be the runaway volume seller for Rivian. The $45k R2 will be $60k+ with Dual Motors, larger battery pack, etc. It’s still too expensive for the average family.
